Agree, it probably has some type of restrictor. these 350's seem to hit a brick wall at that particular speed and feel as if they are held back... It would be interesting to see if a tuner can sort something out. You'd probably want something in reserve for overtaking. That's it's one drawback and the service interval will probably come around sooner than you'd like with tappet adjustments. Great for servicing yourself though.
I'm starting my license course in a couple of days and can't wait for the Hunter to be my first bike. The timing of its release is meant to be, as I'm madly in love with it.
Got one and with a few miles on it its loosened up nicely and goes well, I'm fairly light so the bike easily gets to an indicated 80 but yeah it is slow getting there after 60. In truth 99% of the time on UK roads the bike feels great.
It's currently a bit cheaper too atm. I mean yeah you're getting less but you're paying less. As you say for 99% of most people's riding this bike goes quick enough. The 0-60 is slow but really most of the time people just set off at a steady pace. My bike will do it in 4 seconds but I'd imagine usually I do it in over 10. I always thought I needed something fast but the reality is i only ride as fast as I'd drive my car. So at this money the bike is ideal for my needs.
CEAT Limited (formerly, Cavi Elettrici e Affini Torino) is an Italian brand of tyres. At one time the brand was owned by Pirelli. Just like Royal Enfield, it is now fully owned and manufactured in India.
I'm really tempted by this bike. Reason is the price. £3683 on the road. It will hit 80 on the Speedo and keep 70 on the motorway. Ok I can't over take everyone I come across but the price😀 I like the look and its fast enough for me as a commuting and Sunday b road bike. So I will ignore people who have no interest in buying one harping on about it being slow. I mean yeah for 2 grand more I can get something that does a ton. But been there and done it.
Well, the rear shocks are awful to be true. way too hard even in their lowest setting. changed then on my wife‘s hunter (k-speed ht03) and wow, what a difference!
Hello, which of the two bikes, the hunter and the classic 350 has more torque and final speed, with passenger, thank you very much, if we take into account the weight and comfort, thanks,
Hi, we never tried the bikes two up - but the Hunter had a higher top speed on the flats as it has the lower weight. They both have the same engine specs. Thanks for the comment.
Much better ride using a dna air filter kit and 16 tooth front sprocket, only do any upgrade after 2000 miles, I've done 2500 miles on mine, great fun.
O.K. here's the thing R.E. is trying to market this bike and the Classic in other markets then the U.K. or Europe that don't have the Euro 5 regulations and that lack of power is what's holding a lot of riders from buying them . Some one needs to convince R.E. to bring back the 500 cc bikes and up the horse power in the 650s as well to somewhere around the mid 60s for most 650 cc bike that the norm .
To be honest these things you mention are not holding anyone back. They are all selling like hot cakes. Also India does have Euro 5 (they call it Bharat stage 6).
A tachometer is only any use if you don't have a gear shift indicator. Your height is a big decider in this review;over 5'9" is probably going to be a problem. I have a Classic buying the Hunter for no other reason more that I like the look of the aluminium cases but hate cleaning. I love the Meteor also but as I'm buying a SM to ride in Europe. And the Hunter to ride in Indonesia.
With the greatest and without any wish to be offensive, please.....when talking about the 'Rider Triangle' do mention your height, particularly around the issue of rider comfort. Unfortunately, manufacturers have to factor in a 'nominal rider height' when calculating the 'Triangle'. I suspect that 6ft ++ is on the outside of the calculation, certainly on many small/smaller bikes. Thank you for the review.
@tf9888 absolutely love it! Proper B road bike! Just had the first service today so looking forward to opening her up a bit. Great on fuel too which is a massive bonus!
@@jimmartin8586 agreed the engines not full of mounds of power but I think it’ll do me grand over the winter (non car driver). It’s a bit of a shock to the system going back into the cb1000r after the CL though haha. I’m on a 30 mike a day commute so that’s what put me off the enfields and their service intervals
6 foot and 3 inches = 191 cm ,, that does sound a little to big for a bike firstly marked for the indian market.. The average height for indian men are 5 foot , 7 inches or 170 cm.. the meteor and the classic are slightly larger and better for European size..
Iv a hunter its not a perfect bike, could realy use anouther 10 mph and it heats up a bit in real hot weather. But it does get great mpg as long as your your diong 55 mph. Mpg drops fair bit at higher speeds. Handles great and just has alot of charicter.the one thing i flat hate is the sericeing. U basicly have to do a valve adjustment every 3 to 5k miles wich for a daily driver that sucks. But if u dont mind that its a great bang for the buck bike
For a 350cc engine, why isn't it faster? Is it to built to provide the available power without stressing the engine? Because there are 150cc bikes in India that are faster and probably more economical with fuel.
What do you guys think of the Hunter?

Super Cool Bike 👀👌
Absolutely great were i live, so nimble and just fun. I used to have a SV650 ulez😢
It’s a very well designed bike, great looking, nice relaxing ride and remembering 70mph is the speed limit anyway. Great review enjoyed it thoroughly!
Of course! Thanks for the comment Paul!
I've recently got myself one of these and agree with your review, great bike for knocking around the country lanes.
Isn't it just! Thanks for the comment.

Absolutely!
Nice video, I own a white color here in India, its a very good daily ride for me, Btw did they launch the accesories for this too?

Just bought on in NZ...fantastic wee machine!
Great to hear!
thanks for the video! Can you please share the headlight link to buy? Thank you
Wish they'd put the 410 engine in it, rear shocks off of the 650 and a radial front brake, that's it..
Love the looks of this design!
Well, the rear shocks are awful to be true. way too hard even in their lowest setting. changed then on my wife‘s hunter (k-speed ht03) and wow, what a difference!
Great review, I'm 6ft 4" I guess the Interceptor would be better for me??
Most definitely. Thanks for the comment!
Guerilla 450. Check that out.
It has a top speed of 120km/h or 80mph.
No it doesn't, all the J series engines are electronically limited to 72 mph if you are relying on the speedo it's running hi
It's a pretty decent bike.

thanks, it s a valuable opinion, i 'll prove both, when i could do
We feel the Classic 350 will be better two up with the longer wheelbase, but certainly try both!

I contacted Royal Enfield support about the alleged speed limiter and they claim there is NO speed limiter fitted to the Hunter.
I am pleased that you wont lie to me

You actually don't need either of those, because I've ridden bikes for decades and a lot didn't have either.
May I know, what is ur height sir?
6'3!

It’s a lovely looking bike…but the 20bhp and the really rubbish service intervals put me off.
I went for the new CL500
Thanks for the comment! The CL will definitely have more poke.

A bit strange to see someone riding around my home town!

RE equipped them with speed limiters, as you say to not stress the engine
how you only have the speed of 100? In india, we have around 160 and the top speed is 130 man
It's in miles
This moto with 25 HP+..... Would be perfect
Looks comically small for someone of yr size 😅
nice but its gutless .....
Bargain? Either youre rich or u have lost the plot
For a brand new bike it is a bargain especially with 3 years warranty and roadside assistance
free hundred miles from ferteen liters.... man, give the English language some respect...!! I can't listen to another second..
This is realy good bike and sounds amasing but I am going with speed400 once it comes to canada. 40HP is deceiving me 🫣
Hunter 450!
