Man oh man what a machine splendid performance, great milage, that assist slipper clutch just makes your daily life so easy superb comfort i agree tvs needs to up its game when it comes to the service center center accessibility, spareparts and the tech issues.

Road presence is also good in rain and bad roads , best thing is sound it makes when pulls at low rpm ,gets a good stare from bikers around, both bike have different feel ,go for ronin if want wide range of riding type city, highway, off road and touring, go for hunter if you want a better looking bike and want to join RE gang to feel good.

Ronin seems to be a great product and definitely more VFM than Hunter. But Hunter and Standard 350 are the only two bikes under 2 lakh with long stroke engines.
Another advantage Hunter has are the sales numbers. In my town specially, I have seen more Hunters and hardly one or two Ronins. I am not saying that follow a “bhedh chaal” and it’s not just about the resale value but higher sales numbers help the vehicle owner to have better service experience in the long run. When a bike sells in good numbers, spare parts availability becomes less of an issue. I have experienced it personally as I own CB Twister since 2013 and that bike got discontinued soon after my purchase. From last few years I am having trouble finding basic spare parts like break cable and air filter. And mind you!! My bike comes from a well known “so-called” reliable/reputed brand like Honda.
I learned this lesson a hard way but be it car or bike, please consider this every time before making an automobile purchase. It becomes even more relevant if you come from a tier 2/tier 3 city. Sales numbers doesn’t define the quality and capabilities of a bike but you will have better service experience in last few years of your ownership with a vehicle that you see in good numbers. No reviewer will ever tell you that.

Yes, this is very important and to be noted before buying any vehicle. After sales service is what matters once you own the vehicle be it a bike, scooter or car.

Review is not for a single ride experience...in the quality of engineering and the quality of components there is no comparison between these bikes/companies...Ronin/TVS is way ahead in these aspects giving a biker both reliability and durability when he pays to own a bike over a period...surprisingly these aspects are missed out in most of the reviews...I do not have any affiliations to either company, nor am childish to be a fanboy/identity seeker...enjoy...

@@Shreejansurya98 RTR doesn't have the torque advantage whereas the bikes which we are talking about have great torque of atleast 20 to 27nm . RTR 200 4V is for college students and people who want gimmicky features. RTR 200 4V does not have a great pillion seat comfort plus the clip on handlebars means it's a little difficult to fit a mobile holder clamp and not to mention its cramped for tall riders and riding position is a little committed. Heck there's always a fear of that bike breaking down with the amount of electronic aids it has.

Crazy performance (uhh from an RE I mean).

The suspension is really stiff at the rear. Could live with that not gonna lie.

@@sameer_dhingra not maintenance actually. I meant to say that RE takes toooooo much for their accesories in the very beginning. When the bike will need any part to be replaced in the future, things will be the same. Expensive AF.
      The backrest costs 2800/-
      The seat cover costs 1200/-
I agree with the quality that RE provides but at least the backrest could have been a lot cheaper.
The helmet that they give out free (and for ffs, it doesn't even have a visor?) is pure trash. They insist on buying the transparent (265/-) / tinted visor(550/-) and yet I bought the transparent visor just to realise that it's not made for people who wear spectacles. Even if you don't need the visor, the helmet seems as if it will come off just above 50kmph.
Not gonna lie, I do not regret buying the Hunter 350 as I mostly ride solo and it gives off pure fun. It's the best product you can buy for 2lakh rupees.

For my taste. I love to sit on a comfortable chair. Regarding the bikes, i have test ride both. The ronin is a sofa with proper posture for my legs and the hunter is a Little towards a hunting mood (hence), but how are you planning to hunt if a 350cc has lesser practical power than the 225 in term of top end speed limit. Youve seen the drag race again and again.
I want to go from point A to point B with a smile. I'm not in a hurry , i just want to be at peace. I had enough with R15; i thought I'll get use to it, how stupid was i. I'm not a racer or a wanna be. I'm the kind of guy who would enjoy a gentle breeze rather than the blast of wind while testing the limit and thrill of dying.
So no. I'll take my chances of the new square engine. If it breaks, let it be. Atleast i was on a sofa when that happen. And since im not planning to hunt im quite sure it the engine would survive a long run.
      Enough with the sofa? Ok!!!
If RE had given all those features on the hunter, how much would the price increase?
The suspension, the levers, the metallic mudguard, the Bluetooth connectivity, the lcd display with a different central display for text and stuff, the led headlight, the chain protection, the oil cooling, the tiles tyres, the soft gear shifting, the glide through tech, the exhaust tuning. Damn!!! Are we that blind to see that it's not the looks that count?
I know the design is over done in the Ronin. There is a sense of disconnection in every portion of the bike. But if we keep those measurements aside, the hunter has lesser competitive points to prove its superiority towards the Ronin.
All those features on a sofa. Trust me. Life is happier when it's comfortable.

I don’t like Enfields but Hunter is such a lovely bike. My friend owns one and the ride quality is so much better and doesn’t feel like typical RE motorcycle. The dumbest thing RE has done though is giving an option for LED indicators and nothing for the headlamp.

I was in the same boat sometime back, i shortlisted Scram 411, CB350 RS, and interceptor,. Hunter looked small on me, and since I was coming from R15 v3 BS6 I did not look into KTMs and Xpulses. Out of the above 3 I chose CB350 RS. it felt like an all-rounder, and slipper clutch was a must have for me for city rides.

I own the hunter. It is PERFECT for daily city commute. The clutch is heavy but you get used to it, wearing gloves helps. It is easily flickable, very light, short in length, easy to sit on. When you sit, you will find the handlebar a bit forward, and the footrest slightly backwards, but this isn't a sporty bike. The sitting position is the best in my opinion, even better than the Classic 350, I own that as well and have ridden it for almost 10 years now. Long distance tours are also comfortable, I have done no more than 250kms in one stretch from home and back with few stops. The bike feels super comfortable on highways. Suspension is stiff, you feel the bumps, the tires are grippy on the road but not so grippy off-road. It is really fun on the twisty roads or the ghats. I ride alone, leaning really low, and it feels fun to do so. The engine has no vibrations, even at high revs. Top speed is 120 which you achieve in the 4th gear, 5th gear is just overdrive, top speed is the same in 5th. Easy to manage in the city, move in the parking lot, or park in congested areas. The bike is also cheap so you won't feel emotionally damaged if you damage something on the bike. Just replace the part or get it fixed, it is cheap to do so. 4/5 is what I will rate it. Also, I get a mileage of 30-32kmpl but that is because I am a spirited rider. Don't read it Chhapra because I ride safe and don't endanger other people's lives. Hunter sounds amazing.
Himalayan is awesome, but wait for the 450. That engine will be more refined, less vibrations. But it isn't as easy to manage in the day-to-day city life. Sure, it is awesome for touring, awesome for off road adventures, and an awesome bike overall. But if you are just a beginner rider (buying a bike for the first time), don't buy the Himalayan. Instead buy the scram 411. That's a beautiful bike, has all the positives of the Himalayan and none of the negatives. Scram has the biggish bike appeal as well. It isn't too big, but it's a looker on the road. Speed and performance is almost the same as Hunter, you won't notice any difference between scram and hunter.
For 95% city traffic and 5% touring, go for Hunter. For 80% city traffic and 20% touring + off roads, go for scram. For new engine ADV touring, wait for Himalayan 450, I am sure it will be an awesome bike, and probably my next bike soon.

Why I chose ronin over hunter 350 Royal enfield
1] led lights- ronin has it, hunter doesn't
2] suspension- ronin has good suspension than hunter
3] digital console of ronin is much better than hunter
    4]ronin has tubeless tires , hunter doesn't
5] ronin is 21 kg lighter than hunter
6] features are more in ronin than hunter
7] in traffic smoothness of ride quality is much better than hunter.
8] I am a person who wants little much more milage plus retro looking good bike so i prefered ronin 225 cc 45 km/ l than hunter 350 cc 35 km/l
9] about 136 km top speed of hunter vs 120 km top speed of ronin. I am not going to drive any bike more than 100 km /hr for sure. I drove 48 kms daily. My top speed is 60 to 80 km.
What I don't like in ronin is color options. They should work on it.
