Agreed, Sevendust gets a fairly good amount of air time and don't get me wrong, Sevendust is awesome too, but I prefer Skindred slightly more than Sevendust and I haven't heard Skindred on the radio in forever, and when I do hear Skindred on the radio, it's just the same two songs over and over again.
Best Skindred songs to react to; Pressure Warning live at Download 2011 Kill The Power, Nobody Ninja Alex, MAKE IT HAPPEN! One of the best Welsh bands!
Me and my 15 year old son saw them live at Alexandra Palace in London supporting Disturbed and then again at Download last year !! It pissed down but it was STILL an AMAZING set !! ESPECIALLY the "Newport Helicopter" during Warning !!
definitely - I have been to concerts from bands like rammstein and slipknot but I saw skindred 4 times in total know and those guys still are some of my favourite live acts :) benji is one of those persons who simply know how to reach out to the crowd and pump the people up
I've seen them 4 times total. Once when the supported Soulfly, then when they supported BFMV then twice when they headlined their own tour. Benji was so sweet and humble when we met him. Defintely the highlight of my college years was getting to see them.
Yes!! Great band, arguably the biggest band from my home town! 😁. The vocalist is humble as fuck and is often seen just casually walking around the City Centre as if he is just any other person 🙂.
I've had multiple opportunities to just go up and shake that man's hand but every time I chicken out. Saw him after their show at Download, just chilling in the crowd with Andy Copping, then saw him in the pub when they played here to a smaller crowd in the back. I'm just not that guy who can go up and say hello. I know he's a great dude but i don't think I want to risk catching him in a stressed moment lol
Dude was so chill when I saw them open for Disturbed. After their set he came out in his damn Slipknot pajamas and sat at the merch booth shootin the shit with people, taking pictures and signing autographs and watching Disturbed play. Fucking unreal how down to earth the dude was.
Yeah man, I’ve seen them on their “small venue tours” five or six times. Always have time after for the fans, and just down to drink. Benji is cool as fuck.
Was by the acoustic stage at download 2014. Benji and his wife just walked into the crowd to watch the acts. Had a bit of a chat and he was super sound
Omg, I remember suggesting you Skindred rat race and nobody from skindred when you started hearing metal and the first band that popped in my mind for "first time hearing metal" was Skindred. So glad you liked it that much !
Skindred are one of my favorite bands. I have seen them 25 times over the years. I saw them play to 16 people a few days before their first album came out and have seen them control a 60K strong festival crowd. Benji is one of the greatest front men ever. Please listen to more Skindred. Songs like Ninja, That's my Jam and Pressure. Also there are a few live videos of them playing Festivals that are well worth a look mostly playing the song Warning. That includes audience participation performing the Newport Helicopter)
I think I'm just about in double digits with them now. Can't even say they're in my top 10 bands, but I'll always put effort into seeing them live when I can because of how good their shows are. No fancy effects or gimmicks, just a lot of energy and a great frontman!
DaGeHa So need to see these guys. Been to hundreds of shows, but never these guys for some reason. Had tix to the last tour of the states, but they had visa issues and cancelled the tour. Now with corona, I have no idea when they’ll be around here again. Sad panda.
I'm SO glad you got around to Skindred. I think I'm one of the ones who's been persisting in the comments lol To give you an idea of how loved they are in the UK metal scene, they can play in the afternoon at Download Festival and get tens of thousands dancing. Most bands lower on the bill can't get anything like the audience they pull in. This is the kind of band you can see with a massive crowd at a festival, then see them play to 200 people in the back of a pub. The last time I saw them was at our local rock pub. I've had the chance to meet Benji (vocalist) a couple of times, in the crowd at Download and at the pub before their gig, but I didn't because I don't want to be "that guy" lol I'd like to recommend Skunk Anansie next, another amazing British metal band with one of the best female vocalists you are ever going to hear.
Awesome ! Knew you would like Skindred. Follow up with their song 'Nobody' :) It's from the Need For Speed Underground 2 soundtrack ! ahh good times...

Duuuuudee! I've told you multiple times to react to them! Finally you did it and damn this reaction was nice. I saw them live back in november and benji (vocalist) is one hell of an entertainer! Was one of my favourit concerts! They kick ass and they have so much more awesome tracks. Do yourself a favor and check out all their stuff.. you don't have to do a reaction video for every song. Just enjoy ! Have a dope ass day, Alex! Greetings from Germany!
I got told off by the singer when I saw them live😂 I was text messaging the babysitter to see how the kids where doing..... he said “hey man put that shit down and join in”!! Lol brilliant live
Interesting take on "rat race" as a phrase. I always heard it in relation to work. A 9-5 is the rat race. You're placed in a pointless maze by your controllers, for the chance of getting a piece of cheese that barely replaces the energy you spent getting to it.
I met Benji (singer) before they played a gig at the uni I went to many years ago. Skindred had just played download and it was the year when Korn had a load of guest singers during their set and he was one of them. Even though there was only around 20 people in the room watching them, they still out on an amazing show full of energy and it made for a brilliant night!

It's a Welsh band. The singer moved from Jamaica with his mom when he was 13, following his uncle. He also had another band before Skindred. Something I remember reading years ago.

I had never heard of Skindred before and saw them live opening for Disturbed last year and was pleasantly surprised. Such an amazing mix of high speed reggae and metal.

i watched them 9 years ago on Exit festival, they did duality cover from Slipknot, it was awesome
Skindred had a pretty good song in Need for Speed underground 2.
