Benji (the singer) has resurrected his other band Dub war, so now you have both bands doing their thing, dub war is more reggae than skindred, check out "cry dignity" by dub war. Also worth looking at culture shock "civilisation street" best punk/ska/reggae cross over song ever.

Skindred are such a staple of the UK Rock/Punk/Metal scene that it can be hard for us to realise that they aren’t huge already in the US
NFS2 Underground
The genre is known as reegae-metal in the UK. Ive seen them twice, the first time in 2018 on the day they released their last album 'Big Tings'. My friend and I also paid for a pre-show meet & greet with the band. Live soundcheck, pics with the band (during mine I spilled a little water on Benji's stage clothes!) and as many autographs as you could need. The band mingled among us, totally open, friendly and genuinely interested in their fans. I LOVE Skindred!
Ratrace and State of Emergency are by far my favourites by them. Seen them twice live they put on a hell of a show.
I met Benji backstage in the Wedgwood rooms, Portsmouth UK. My dad knew their Driver.
Had a beer with the band, did not expect a STRONG Welsh accent lol.

great band. 1st time i saw them they were playing in my local town Camden in London, i just went to my usual bar and they came on, i purchased there cd straight after the show
Next band for the guys to check out should be Sleaford Mods "Job Seeker" but must be the live on Jools Holland version. Absolutely unique band.
im going to download next month, kiss are headlining, iron maiden is headlining...their are some freaking phenomenal bands playing at the festival...only one im genuinely dont want to miss is these guys, they bring it every show
I remember meeting with the guitarist at summer school in 2010 where I live in Brighton in the UK and he taught us how to play nobody on guitar pity I never got to meet Benji Webb 😅

Check out one of their performances of the song Warning that mentions “Newport helicopter” then imagine the pure spectacle of looking down on it from a balcony seat. I got to experience that, and it was flicking awesome.

Basically combination of punk, rock and reggae. Awesome
One of my favourites bands, I've seen them live a few times now, they are great! Dub, Benjis original band were also one of the first bands I saw live supporting PWEI in 1996
I don't think their videos do them any justice tbh. Seeing them live is a whole new experience, the energy in the crowd and on the stage is just off the hook.

I'll never forget getting the train from Amsterdam to Paris to watch Skindred. Saw Benji out the front of the venue and told him we'd trained it from Amsterdam and he asked if we brought any 'Dam weed. Ended up smoking a couple of joints with them before the gig.
For a proper mashup of genres try Sonic Boom Six. They toured with Skindred. Sound of a Revolution is good one.

I use to listen to Mordred in my teens who seem to be the originators of this style of metal Fusion...I have them on my playlists still great band ..I saw skindred a while ago when they supported trivium in the UK another of my favourite bands from Florida I believe.
Hey guys, been watching your footballer reaction videos and they're great but one player you need to check out is Matt Le Tissier. It's one thing to do this stuff when you have a team of world class players around you but MLT single handedly kept Southampton up year after year after year, on his own, despite being surrounded by below average players. The absolute definition of a one man team.

I remember when I thought American rap metal was pretty cool, until I heard Dub War in about 1992. The rap metal was so weak in comparison. Benji and Wales's finest was the real shit. Dub War - Gorrit, or - Spiritual Warfare. The other sound that was everything to me back then is Going Nowhere by Therapy? (the question mark is part of the band name)
