Skindred is phenomenal. I’d recommend “Rat Race” next-but do the music video even though it’s awful quality. Their vocalist Benji is so fun to watch.
Or "Pressure" or "State of Emergency" or even the cover of "Electric Avenue"... Loved this band for over 12 years!
Benji is a great front man. He told us to blast music at home and if the neighbors called the cops on us to tell them 'Benji said it was fuckin cool' xD So much energy and charisma.

skindred are one of the best live bands in the world ive seen them 15+ times and ive never gotten bored of them they bring the energy every time and there isn't a more fun show anywhere in the world

You're 100% correct about the crowd. I was at a show in like 2009 and they were there. Dude had a Jamaican hat where you couldn't see his hair. When this kicked up, the hat came off and the dreds flew in a head bang and spin. Crazy energy and really nice guy. Met him a few years later outside a show. He was just leaning against a wall, smoking a cigarette while people walked past him with realizing who it was lol. It was great.
This is a fantastic band to hear live! I payed the stage with them years ago here in Tallahassee Fl back before they hit the Warp Tour. Benji said that the name of their band Skinddread is a combination Skinhead Punk and Dreadhead Reggae music.
This mans vocals during sound check could be heard 3 blocks away from the club. Unbelievable presence on stage, and really awesome, down to earth off stage. Great to see you listening to them! 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

Those guys are killing it live. They are insane. If all of this pandemic is over I can recommend u catch them live, this is an amazing experience. It takes them 2 seconds and everyone goes wild.

I love your calm style. Everyone has their own style and that is great, but when so many reactors play up their responses in a way I can't quite believe is genuine, your calm analysis is very believable and for me personally (as I say, taste varies and that is a good thing) all the better for it.

'Pressure'!! any day. By far my favourite song. But pretty much anything from their album 'Babylon' ('Set It Off', 'World Domination', etc) Also check out 'Cause ah Riot' (highly underrated song), 'Worlds on Fire' and 'Ruling Force'. They blend both Reggae and Ragga with metal. My memory growing up was that Ragga was always pretty heavy and harsh in its own right so blends well with metal. I love this band 🤘
Man, haven't listen to these dudes in a minute! Very underappreciated band! I actually got to see them live about 10 years ago. Band has great energy but for that tour they were an opening act for a Gypsy punk band so no one but me was getting into their set. Next song I would listen to is "Pressure".
Only just seeing this reaction, but Skindred are one of the best bands I've seen live; seen them 4-5 times now; they originate from about 1h up the road from where I live...

One of the most fun live experiences
brings me back to ps2 era rockin out while speed through NFSug2.
I was introduced to Skindred around 15 years ago (just after their second album came out) when I walked in to get my seat at a Disturbed concert and Skindred was just hitting the stage. That thundering chorus filled the stadium and the crowd went bonkers. Disturbed put on a great set but Skindred absolutely stole the show. My entire group of friends at the show were just flooded and wondering "Who are these guys and why the hell haven’t we heard this before?" Check out Benji’s previous band Dub War if this is your groove.
If you like Skindread check out Dub War, I recommend the songs Strike It, Greedee, and Pain. Also fun fact: Most of Skindread was formed from the remnants of Dub War when they broke up. If you want a more punk approach to the reggae and metal mixture then please do check them out.
This song is a great advertisement for a multi-cultural society where people can meld the best bits of different influences to create something new.

I saw them live as an opening act in Detroit at the filmore before they released this cd, and nobody in the crowd wasn't going crazy for them. I truly forget the headliner that night.
You -really- gotta check these guys out. Heard Nobody on the radio years ago in Colorado, and never turned back. These guys are badass.
Like a lot of metal, it **sounds** aggressive, but this band is one of the loveliest bands you could ever have the chance to meet. I've seen them play live countless times and Benji, the vocalist, really works to put love out there. He's a funny guy, you can see them play to 50,000 at a festival then go and see them play to 200 in a pub, and have a drink with the band after. They're one of the most underrated and popular metal acts in the UK scene. We all love them and will hurt anyone who hurts them. lol

Loved this since it came out when I was in high school and I got to see them in concert and got their autographs
F**king stoked to see you reacting to Skindred. Fave live band of all time. If you dig it I recommend listening to a few of their albums. So unique, and so damn good. Always thought that their best tracks weren't their singles. But Rat Race was their breakthrough single, Doomriff is pretty iconic, but my favourite song of theirs is 'Get It Now'. Not sure if there's any good RUclips videos where the audio quality doesn't sound like garbage though. Even if you don't react to it, check it out on Spotify and crank it up when you're in the gym or something.
My best memory of any metal gig was taking my friend to see skindred at the camden rocks festival it was her first experience of a mosh pit (gentle intro it was a small venue in a pub only about 150 people) she lost a shoe while moshing and everyone moved out of the way so she could find it then when we went into the next room so she could put her shoe back on a guy comes out claret all down his face and the biggest grin you have ever seen possibly the best intro to moshing she could have had

Interesting you mention about the crowd going crazy live. I actually first heard them live while supporting another band. I immediately became a fan. They had everyone moving even though most didn't know who they were

Found your channel randomly a while back and enjoyed your videos which is pretty rare for a reaction channel. Was listening to this song earlier today and out of nowhere thought hmmm wonder if that dude on youtube has heard Skindred, very stoked to see you had
"Pressure" was the next track on the album and was pretty great. "Bruises" was a lot heavier. "Set It Off" had some more hip-hop and electronic vibes, but mixed well with the rock sound. The funniest thing about this band to me is they're Welsh....like, not exactly the place where you expect a reggae influenced band.
Pressure is a nice one by Skindred. It is more at the poppy end of the spectrum, but the core hook is amazing (especially the way they cut all instruments very briefly right in the heart of the hook).
