captain, please do a thorough video on energy management for descent. My captains keep using that term but I do not understand what exactly do they mean
Are you a pilot? if so this was covered in your ground school and line training and if you are operating without a sound understanding of energy management, you should seek help from your training dept.
safetyfirst.airbus.com/control-your-speed-during-descent-approach-and-landing/ This might be a useful read and as Skipper mentioned it’s vital you seek help if you are already an operating tech crew .
Great presentation as usual! I have a question though: in case of the “AIR ENG 2 BLEED LO TEMP”, the procedure asks to open crossbleed, turn off eng 2 bleed, and then to turn off the Pack 2 as well. Why to turn off the pack 2? Why not feeding pack 2 with eng bleed from number 1 since the crossbleed had been previously opened and eng bleed 2 is off? Thanks a lot for your videos. Really appreciate!
Thanks for the question. This warning is triggered when the Wing AI is on with low temp. Having the crossbleed open ensures Symmetrical Wing Anti-Icing and of course single bleed source means one pack only. Happy Easter
@@airbuswhatsitdoingnow320 L2 info in the FCOM also states: One pack must be closed when the flight crew uses WAI due to "precooler" performance. Precoolers are quite weak to handle dual pack operations with a single ENG bleed source. If that associated precooler goes kaput, you have a BLEED 1+2 fault.
Awesome! Super beneficial. Can you update it with the recent procedure. Thanks
Great video thanks
thank you for taking the time to feedback
Thank you...
You're welcome!
Good video Captain. you should also do a series on the Generic Airbus SoPs Normal, supplementary procedures, LVP, Cold Wx ops etc
These are difficult to do as are mostly company specific.
It is a very good video Cameron, but may be you can made a briefing about ENGINE 1+2 BLEED FAULT to finish with the bleed. Javier C A320 Spain pilot
I will put it on the list. Thanks for the suggestion
