Why so rude?
Sir SYS 1 is for the pressurization CPC. It’s not indicating the AEVC.
Hello, I recently saw a video of a 747-400BDSF of cargoAir ACT, and the GPS spoofing was over Myanmar near the Mandalay MDY VOR. It happend on airway B465 between MDY and APAGO waypoint. I think the 747 was at FL340. The EGPWS didnt stop alerting the pilots with TERRAIN TERRAIN, PULL UP aural warnings.
Thank you for the good information I am line training pilot
You are very welcome 🙏
Hello Sir! On Friday LPC with volcanic ash combined with dual engine failure. Hurry up pls:)
Ah yes we covered that about 3 yrs ago. Very demanding on the crews
@@airbuswhatsitdoingnow320 Thank you! Looking up!
Hello, what is the best way to support your channel so I can get access to all your videos? I'm preparing for my A320 command upgrade and it would be extremely helpful for me. Cheers!

Im sorry you are still having trouble, are you using a desktop PC?
@@airbuswhatsitdoingnow320 yes, maybe the local IP is the problem (Albania), I will try again when Im back in my country

Hello thank you for the great content ! A quick toptip I learned from my TR instructor to remember the 3 failures implications : B+Y is "Best Yet" because of normal law. G+Y is "Goodyear" because of stoping issues and G+B is "Gusting Bad" because of controllability. :)
I like that!
thank you sir brilliant as always!
@@FeiLong-h5i thanks for the feedback 🙏
The main issue of jetpump is that if on a wing tank both "classical" pumps are down and working only by gravity, the center tank fuel is "lost" and unusable, correct ?
Hi Good question, I would need to review that but would make sense given how the Jet pump needs main wing pump pressure to create the Venturi. Thanks for the Q
Awaiting your briefing… Safe flight
How do I know in which wpt to put my step and set the optimal level?
Initially just put in the flight level step and the FMG C or calculate optimal level. Otherwise check your operational flight plan to see where the step has been placed. Alternatively, if Atc require it, you can put a step anywhere on your flight plan subject to recommended Max. Hope that helps.
Why are the insert diagrams/tables blanked ?
@@Senseigainz I think something related to copyright to be honest.
@ my thoughts also
Hi, some of the early content had to be edited. ive had to be careful to use images available on the interweb!
Ill be on a A320 TR in August 2025 and thought ill start studying now. This is by far the best explanation and channel for Airbus. ❤
@@Senseigainz thanks for the feedback. You’re about to embark on a very exciting journey. Merry Christmas. AWIDN
Greetings captain, excellent explanation as usual. I had a question regarding the fire PB (ENG), once we push it, and the SOV closes for the HYD system, are we still able to use that specific HYD system using the PTU, or does pushing the Fire PB make that system completely INOP?
Thanks for the question. Think about what happens when we push the fire PB after engine damage and refer to the FCOM diagram and see where the PTU runs downstream of the SOV EDP 👍
@ thank you captain
First of all thank you captain very good detailed but one quistion is LOC ONLY APPR'es .Do we have to push LOC button and APPRbutton or only APPR button..This very importand.thank you..
To get the F-G/S along with the LOC you need to press APPR
Hi thanks for the question. if its on the box and is correctly coded then you can select APPR, otherwise its 2D!
Hi please can you consider offering lower membership fees for student pilots? Thank you. Love your content but unable to access all videos until i join the membership 😢
Thanks for the feedback and welcome to the channel. You can jump in and out whenever you need. Try it and hopefully you’ll find it useful. AWIDN
Very good briefing as always. Thanks ! As a follow up would be great to walk through new GPS Interference procedures from FCOM-PRO-NOR-SUP-GPSINT. Plus some ideas how to deal with resulting false EGPWS alerts during climb, cruise, descend and approach. EGPWS rely on GPS data despite GPS deselected in Navaids. Hot topic recently in our industry... Of course solutions vary from airline to airline. Anyway standard procedures for GPWS cautions and warnings would be another valuable content on the channel. Keep the plates spinning ;-) and once again - thank you for your great job so far !
Thanks for the suggestion
Greetings captain, just wanted to know, for operational needs do airliners fly close to the Vmax speed frequently? (Referring to the 1 in 1400 flights Vmax exceedence)
Thanks for the question. Fuel is the most if not one of significant costs for airlines. For this reason they will fly an Econ speed, you may have heard this referred to as a cost index. This will offer a speed a fair margin away from VMO MMO. There are occasions where a company may request a higher cost index or Atc may request a higher speed where the margins may be reduced and it’s in these circumstances where the crew are more exposed to exceedances if turbulence or jet stream or other weather phenomenal or encountered. I hope that answers your question.
@ thank you for taking the time to respond captain, I really appreciate it.
Thank you Captain
You're very welcome
Just in time for the winter LPC- many thanks as always!
Hi, thank you for the video, please can you write down here how you compare the informations ? What do you exactly do in practice if flying and loose gps so you need to update the position. How do you update the position correctly ? I mean which steps you follow in fmgs ? Thank you,
Hi, your company may have some guidance here and be careful as the guidance is changing all the time as we learn more about the effects. One thing to remember is GPS is not the Holy Grail and the IRS is very reliable and not effected by external radio interference. It is useful to read the FCOM SUP as to the types of interference you might see and how to deal with it.
Thank you for your video. Could you answer my question? Are we allowed to perform RNAV1 arrival if we have GPS PRIMARY LOST and GNSS required on approach chart but accuracy is still HIGH? Thank you
Hi Sorry for the delay. RNP1 is usually terminal arrivals and some Nat Tracks. I am going to have to ask you to refer to your company manuals here as integrity monitoring and contingency procedures are likely the protection of your company. The detail will be wether the company permits Nav Acc High or GPS Primary and whether the chart requires it i would suggest. I hope that helps. AWIDN
Yeah, happens more often recently... For me GPS PRIMARY LOST + GNSS required on the chart = request vectors or other arrival without GNSS required (if available for an airport of course). Regardless ACCURACY HIGH on the PROG page.
Johnny, some instructor once told me that we have to think about what the aircraft manufacturer (Airbus in our case) says that the aircraft can do vs what the regulator (ICAO) says about the procedure vs what the local authority says about the procedure. Airbus says that 1 GPS or 1 DME is sufficient for RNAV 1 and the standard management of degraded equipment. So according to airbus it is allowed to fly the RNAV 1 arrival without GPS but with one DME...but if we look at the regulator, we see that they are stating that GNSS is a requirement, so in the most restrictive should be applied in your example. Long story short, I think the answer is no.
Well explained sir, the Auto Flight chapter explaining navigation is one of the harder one to understand.
Im pleased you found it useful
Hey very clear explanation! I know I am complicating things with this question but I need to get the full picture: Since flying an RNP with SBAS isn't listed as a different approach on the MCDU, then once you select it, you said you can deselect SLS from the rad nav page to fly non-SBAS with FLS. What if aircraft is fitted with both FLS and FINAL APP, and I want to fly using FINAL APP? How can I deselect both SLS AND FLS?
Thank you for the question. I think Honeywell and Thales probably have the same operating system but on the new aircraft FLS may be the standard approach you will need to select final app and I believe Line select one right I hope that answers your question.
Coming up to COAS and these are so helpful at solidifying everything, thank you!
That’s great to hear. Good luck with the COAS. Let me know if there’s anything else you need.
Thanks
Great channel! Really enjoy the videos’s. Maybe worth updating to include a note about Pitch attitude limitation in alternate law (PALAL) for newer airbus models. I think this is a new feature of the airbus which I don’t think was available when you first posted this video! Around 9 mins you mention no pitch protection so could be added here. Once again thanks so much for all the videos they’ve been a great help!
Hi and thanks for the feedback. Yrs some of the systems have updated with the introduction of the NEO and new FMS standards
Thank you for your videos! Very informative and educative
Thank you for the feedback
any chance you can do a tutorial on circling approaches?
