Initially just put in the flight level step and the FMG C or calculate optimal level. Otherwise check your operational flight plan to see where the step has been placed. Alternatively, if Atc require it, you can put a step anywhere on your flight plan subject to recommended Max. Hope that helps.

Hi Tom, I would imagine they are the same as it’s a relatively basic principal. I’m not sure about FMS 2 pages but I’ll take a look next time they let me fly!

Hi, is it fine to fly above rec max or would that be consider as a limitation breach. I understand that we lose our 0.3g buffet margin. Thank you.
Is the programming the same on both Honeywell and Thales? Any updated pages for this on FMS2?
