I recorded this after about a week of setting up my channels & creating some shorts plus live streaming so I'm sharing my five lessons & resources that helped me along the way as I continue! Hopefully it helps you.

Yeah it's a real struggle, I tried some years ago but I'm also itching to do some new better stuff. After all why not.

@@saint_kendrick I'm currently unemployed so the idea is even more tempting as I actually have time. I was working a very demanding job those past couple of years, but I got most of what I wanted so I want to find a work allowing me to only work for like 4 days a week so I can pay my bills, get all nessesities and eat. It's been honestly hard for me financially past month as I ran out of gas, going through job intervievs right now hoping for the best. I had a private channel for friends before doing travel vlogs and documenting my adventures with friends, but yeah set to private as it includes third parties doing questionable things.
Later on, and that was already like 3 or 4 years ago I think, I tried super hard at doing youtube, but I got burned very hard as I was juggling full time work, social life and a relationship, and I could not muster any strenght to continue after a breakup. So it's been on the back of my head ever since and I think my headspace and expectations are on a better level now. I already have top end pc - previously working around hardware limitations drove me crazy when editing videos, so I worked my ass off towards top % pc. I have a great quality microphone, audio interface and so on. What stops me now is broken cables that I can't replace before I get a job as those would run me over 150e. I'm honestly super broke rn, but I'm recording footage I would have to record over. I should probably start writing scripts. But having a good work life balance would be critical for me to do this long term. At least I sorted out my expectations, I used to be super discouraged from lack of feedback and allowed it to get to my head, now I honestly could not care less. I know I enjoy making vides, I have done like a 200 over the years, but it was never centralised or could not be shared sue to using copyrighted music or showing third parties. I will make some more research, tnhank you for those suggestions, I will explore that

I hope you land something good that gives you the flexibility, security & time for your passion. Even though it’s indefinite if videos will ever net a positive return, I’m sure you know how you’ll want to go come back stronger. If you need feedback you got me, it’s all possible. There a creative workaround for every problem. While it’s easier said than done & no problem is equal, It still comes down to strategy, planning & execution. Cheering for you man

@@saint_kendrick Thank you man, I will try it soon, once I can get those few missing pieces of equipment. I have some cool ideas for content that will be hopefully fun to do. In the meantime I can start getting practice with some new editing software, I head Da Vinci is free. I used VideoPad for years, even paid 50e for a licence, until they released a new version and retired mine. I will also check on your progress!
