- Watch to the end!!
It is thought that here in eastern Africa, mankind’s earliest ancestors climbed down from trees and moved onto the savannah to become hunter-gathers. Our ancient histories have been uncovered at Olduvai Gorge and our footsteps at Laetoli, not far from Yaeda Chini where some of the last remaining hunter-gatherers of Africa continue to live and hunt much unchanged in this fast, modern world. Join me and get a glimpse of Hadza life & traditions - their beauty, their authenticity, and feel their connection to the natural world.

Over 35 years ago, I lived some months with native peoples in Brazilian amazonian region. They survived by hunting, fishing, farming and fruit picking. Their first peaceful contact with white people was in 1954, but they still used to kill white poachers invading their land. In late 80's, most of them, like the Hadzabe, were already wearing shorts. They were already using firearms for hunting, and matches or lighters for camp fires. How the Hadzabe men and women buy their clothes? I've noticed for years how the film-makers on "wild" peoples disguise them to make it more sensational. Do the Hadzabe still make fire just by rubbing pieces of wood, or...? I was born in Brazil, live now in Tahitian islands and every time I go to Brazil I meet Indian friends and learn about the changes in native people life.
Things have change quite a bit for the Hadzabe, 75% of their land have already been taken away so far by the surroundings encroachment (farmers and pastoralisim). However, they still live quite traditionally, and of course they still make fire by rubbing two sticks although nowadays, due to lots of tourist visitors, they donate some of the clothes to Hadzabe and that is what you see them wearing

God made People with different languages and God made language Barriers oh Lord God Savior
1, I've never seen such a huge pile of wild honeycomb. Considering the fact that the Hadza people often get to eat honey, it's amazing what nature has offered them.
2, The video mentions that honey is their favourite food. It corresponds to what another youtuber, Joel V Bushcraft says: "I've asked this question many times before and it never stops entertaining me...Whenever I ask them, honey is their favourite." (Source: ruclips.net/video/NhEjXVZP5WA/видео.html)
I was wondering about (2) because honey isn't actually that nutritious. Why are our stone age brains rewarding us so much for it?
@@misterx3188 High sugar content
@@長谷川恒男 Why is that a good thing? Why not reward us for eating starchy. nutrient-dense tubers instead?
@@misterx3188 Our bodies aren't really good at storing vitamins, but it is good at storing fat. Honey can quickly replenish their low blood sugar (because they run around so much) and any excess sugars are converted into fat and stored for later.
@@sleepybraincells Not sure if that's convincing. Then why isn't our brain rewarding us for eating fat from animal sources or plant sources (e.g., nuts). None of these are very pleasurable foods and they could be stored much more easily. I once read that when sugar is converted into fat, 20% of energy is lost. And it's not that they eat honey while hunting to increase their blood sugar. They don't store the honey. And it's also not important to raise blood sugar during exercise. Well-trained people have huge glycogen stores.
Amazing 👌👌😍

hello big up to you all
Life of a hunter gatherer becomes harder and harder due to the habitats lost for wild animals replace by crops of farmers and herders . Eventually cities and pollution of industrial civilization .
.
.
Life of hunter gatherer during Mesolithic, roughly between 10,000 years to 70,000years ago are easier than Bronze Age to todays .
After Bronze Age , most hunter gatherer in different part of the world are constantly fighting or relocating their land because of civilization agriculturalist and herder.
.
Wildlife populations around the worldwide have declined nearly 70% in 50 years.
Nearly 21,000 monitored populations of mammals, fish, birds, reptiles and amphibians, encompassing almost 4,400 species around the world, have declined an average of 68% between 1970 and 2016, according to the World Wildlife Fund's Living Planet Report 2020.
There huge factors that are currently affecting Hadzabe. what you are saying is totally make sense and that is what is going on right now. Sad but some how there companies and government of Tanzania itself trying to work of on the matters
@@ramam8084 are you a safari Tour guide ? Are you familiar with science researcher of any people who study hadza on their health and immune system
I am a Tour operator, Yes. I do have an idea of people who are working closely and practicing of trying to get Hadzabe land back. I am not quite sure if they are also associated with medical and immune systems issues. However, I do work closely to Hadzabe mainly to understand more about their culture and traditions as you already know that it's hard to predict if this culture will still around for the next few years
They're enjoying, they're lifetime

They are awesome, but they aren't the last hunter-gatherers. The North Sentinelese, uncontacted tribes in the Amazon and some tribes in Papua New Guinea and the Kalahari desert in Namibia also live this lifestyle.
Wish we could add to their population n send the ones here back.

Thanks for sharing such invaluable experience of these special people from Tanzania.
