I made this with Monterrey jack cheese in my new air fryer oven and it came out spectacularly. My husband loved it! I used a little extra water to make sure the pasta got softer than al dente, and stirred and rotated every 5 minutes since this cooker seems to have hot spots. I also added the extra cheese during the last five minutes. I would advise people to not use the thickest pasta in the world. I used a rather thin walled penne. It was thin but not as thin as soup pasta. Thank you SO much! I've had some failures in this new oven so I'm overjoyed this turned out so good.
Up till today your video is still the best on air fry mac & cheese. Many have tried to copy your recipe but non of there videos come close to yours. THX.
This is my first time seeing air fried mac n cheese and I have to say I am impressed! I want to try this but may need to invest in another air fryer lol This will happen when I do! Thanks for sharing girl! Love it!
You’re so welcome and I hope you like it. I just love the fact that I don’t have to boil the noodles first and still get some delicious Mac and cheese.
An interesting concept, but I'm going to have to experiment a few times as my air fryer is an oven type instead of those smaller countertop kettle/drawer type fryers. I have the Kaloriik 26Qt Airfryer oven. Which is way more versatile than those kettle/drawer type airfryers. I can bake, roast, rotisserie, toast, broil and dehydrate all with and without the air function, I've done everything from home cut French Fries to making Corned Beef and doing a 5lb bird in the Rotisserie function or a 8lb Turkey in air bake mode. And best of all, I can truly cook from frozen. NO defrosting required in the Kalorik Airfryer oven. No turning stuff over mid way because it is an actual oven, air circulated on ALL sides. With the Rotisserie rods or baskets or other racks, food is suspended and not touching any pan. So I really can cook from frozen without stopping midway and flipping stuff over. The frozen turkey with stuffing only took 60+20 mins to cook. I covered it in foil for the first 60 mins, then removed the foil and cooked it another 20 to give it a golden crispy skin at 300°F from start to finish.
Hi. Just subscribed to your channel. Love it! That macaroni & cheese in the air fryer is amazing! And like you said no more boiling water!!! Keep the coming! Thanks 👍😊
I recently got my air fryer and I just love it ! This recipe was exactly what I was looking for. Using uncooked macaroni I can’t wait to try this recipe 🥰thank you I really enjoyed this video 😍
I just subscribed to your channel. I had no idea you can air fry mac and cheese. Yours looked really good. Unfortunately, I don't have a cheese grater so I have to buy pre-grated cheese and see how it works on mine.
My Forking Life i tried it and it went quite fine! Fill up the air fryer with water (usually it’s slotted in the side, so you can’t have the water too high), put the noodles in at the same time, and just throw it on until noodles are cooked (didn’t get an exact time because i didn’t want to overdo it, so I did 370 for 3 minutes 4 times.) And then strain, and put normal stuff in and mix, just like you’re in a normal pot
Interesting. I'll be sticking to the old fashioned way of cooking the pasta beforehand, making a cheesy béchamel sauce and then topping with buttered breadcrumbs.
Hi Lynne, I would use a separate pan that fits inside the basket. This pan is just a small pan I bought off of Amazon. It was a part of an “air fryer accessories kit”
Hi Dawn, it may just need to cook longer in your brand of air fryer. Some cook quicker than others. I've also had some reviewers add about 1/2 cup more liquid to make it more gooey.
@@dawnkabba6028 glad you figured it out, about how many more minutes on top of the 20 minutes in this video did you cook it for the second time around? I understand each unit differs. Also, did you also add more liquid or just more minutes? I going to make this soon! Mmmm
@@4LaSirena I probably cooked it for a total of 30-45 minutes, but I would check it every 10 minutes and stir. I did add a little more liquid because the first time I did it, it seemed like the noodles on top burned a bit, but I made sure they were covered with the fluid. I think this may be because I had slightly more noodles. I have been playing with the recipe and used chicken broth instead of plain water which also came out great
I wish we could all try a little harder to be cordial when expressing our disagreements. You never have to try this. However, calling a dish you never made “horrible” is unnecessary. Plenty of people, including myself, love this recipe. Please come back and let me know your thoughts if you give it a try. Respectfully of course.

Thanks you for having the foresight to make this video, waiting for me, knowing that I would need this recipe today! 💛
Great job. I will be trying this soon.
You explained everything perfectly , plus you added list of measurements.
Thank you for the video.

I clicked that subscribe button really quick. After I saw on your blog that I do not have to preboil the pasta🙋🏽♀️. Sign me up
P.S. Love your title, My Forking Life. And Merry Christmas to all here and your family's.

I so appreciate the site for the kit!
MOST OF YOUR RECIPE'S ARE GREAT
Made my day. I was hoping to discover that mac & cheese could be done in my new air fryer.
Your way of doing the Mac and cheese is the best. Thanks
Thank you 😊 so glad you liked it 😊
Just wanted to let you know this is my fav mac and cheese recipe less an item or 2 thank you so much for sharing
Yay! So glad you like it. I’m still amazed at how easy it is.
Thanx dear. It looks so easy.

Thank you! The pre-grated should work just fine, I just like how grated melts.
great video! Making this tonight...may add jalapanos, onions and some rotel to it.
That sounds delicious!!
When doing your cooking please show what measuring cups you r using would help alot
Thank you
Wow. Looks good!
AMAZING!!! THANK YOU!
How do I find the list of ingredients, please?
Can we use milk instead of creme?
LIFE SAVER DORM ROOM POPPIN
Awesome video!!
Side question though, is it possible to do this with just regular box Mac n Cheese?
That should work just fine. Let me know if you try it 😊

I'm confused.
is this an insta pot or air fryer??
I need to try that! Wish you mentioned the amounts. :-)
Interesting. I'll be sticking to the old fashioned way of cooking the pasta beforehand, making a cheesy béchamel sauce and then topping with buttered breadcrumbs.
What are the measurements for the ingredients?
Going to try this!
Awesome! I hope you enjoy. Be warned, it’s so easy I found myself making it quite often 😂
Can you use milk instead of heavy cream?
Yes, milk should work fine.
This is just amazing!!
One side Question: can we use milk instead of heavy cream?
I haven’t tried making Mac and cheese with just milk. I’m worried that the fat content won’t make it as creamy and won’t hold together the same.
@@MyForkingLife Okay, thank you for the recipe though. I tried with heavy cream only and it was just YUMMY!
I would add some butter.
Can you use milk instead of water or no
I would use the water in this recipe.
Looks great. I wonder what it would be like with a bit of bacon?
Thank you, I think that would be a delicious addition.
Couldn't you cook that in the grey pot that comes with the foodi? The one used to sear and pressure cook?
Hi can I use air for leftover mac?
Where is the link for the pan? I soo need one so I can make this!
It was part of a set for air fryer accessories. Here's a link to a similiar one I bought. amzn.to/30VKmeo
How much water?
My air frier did not come with a separate pan. And it is square. Can I still make mac and cheese in t h e pan that holds the basket?
Hi Lynne, I would use a separate pan that fits inside the basket. This pan is just a small pan I bought off of Amazon. It was a part of an “air fryer accessories kit”
When you said “pipen hot” I heard tiana from the princess and the frog 😂🥰
do we have to use the garlic and mustard powder?
Nope. Those just add flavor.
i made it and it turned out horrible, very disappointed, didnt look anything like the picture
@@Chickdan242 it was probably the air fryer you used, each one will cook things slightly different than others
wondering if I did something wrong. The macaroni is still somewhat hard

Do the noodles end up hard so dente or are they soft?
Not hard, al dente yes. For softer noodles, you’ll need more liquid.
What I am looking for is the amount of each ingredient, please‼️👍
It’s all the website here www.myforkinglife.com/air-fryer-mac-and-cheese/
Mmmmmmmm
Needs butter and more cheese 2me..
No measurements ☹️
Great video!
🎉😂❤❤❤
No recipe! How much water, cream etc. Pointless

It may not hold the fat content together as well as heavy whipping cream
