Hey Dylan dude , nice sessions there mate . You can’t beat a west Wight sunset bud ! 🌅 , rocklings were bit of a surprise off there tho ! It’s only a matter of time before you hook up big mate ! stay safe 🎣👍🏼👍🏼
Nice Dylan, couple of lovely sunsets there. Well done on catching a new species...I love Rockling, colours are always stunning. I usually get them down Brixham on squid heads, fairly close in. I managed to brave the easterly winds this morning and got a session in thankfully. Have a good weekend, see you on the next one bud 👍👍🙏
Thanks buddy, they are really good looking fish. Also feel really weird, super smooth and soft, but not slimey at all. Glad you got a session mate. It's been glorious lately. Managed a session on Saturday, and got a pb conger, so was pretty chuffed about that. Take care Gareth 👍👍
Next time your grocery shopping grab a few tins of anchovy fillets, they're about 50p, 8 to 12 in a can, I add them to squid baits, they hold up very well. Suprisingly good results, I've done a pb on smooth hound, bass and plaice. And the dogfish are replaced by thornbacks. Give anchovy fillets a go!! My favourite bait is squid and Anchovy elastic 'd on. Chuck a few tins in your tackle box!
Thanks Richard, that's a great idea. We love anchovies at home. I mentioned it to Mrs frugal that I should use them for fishing... unfortunately she's said no😂😂. Will be giving it a go though, so stay tuned for the results.👍👍
what a great venue dylan , your right it deserves a few more good sessions , on your pulley rigs chap make the snoods 8 to 10 inches long when the surf is so rough you wont get so many tangles , two great sessions and no blank with stunning scenery well done mate
there arent many places where I can honestly say they are stunning, but that place is definitely one of them. Thanks for the advice on the pulleys. 8-10 seems really short, but makes total sense to stop the tangles. Will give that a go next time. I normally take 6 or so with me, so I could just shorten them down. Thanks buddy👍👍
Another great video Dylan, we moved in last Tuesday so will be out and about fishing as soon as we get unpacked, keep up the great work and get that reel seat sorted!!! 🎣🎣🎣
Thanks Alan, congratulations on your move. Yeah I'm pretty gutted about Penn not sorting it out seeing as it's only 4 months old. Have been told it'll be cheaper to buy a new butt section rather than a repair, so I think the tape will have to do👍👍
A bit of a pain that they won’t repair under warranty, suppose it depends on the repair costs but if you like the rod it’s worth doing, tight lines on the next trip. 🎣🎣🎣
boycott PENN company. why buy massively extortionate products when i catch any fish you can catch on cheap equipment cheap rod cheap reel, line and tackle. cant justify these anglers who spend hundreds if not thousands for their equipment. Was fishing alongside a group of these people the other day at my local spot, there must of been five grand of equipment in their group. long story short i fished for an hour and half and outfished the lot of them combined with my equipment which was well under £50
Hi buddy, I agree with you to some degree. When I first started i bought 2 rods for under 50 pounds for the pair, and reels at 13 pounds each. Unfortunately one of my reels exploded on me after about 6 months, which was fine as they were super cheap. I had the opportunity to buy 2 second hand Shimano reels, which are great, faster retrieve, which I need for some of our venues, and hopefully if I look after them will last a lifetime. 70 pounds each which is a lot for me, but cheap for others. My rods are good rods, both about 150 new, one was gifted to me, and the other, the Penn, I bought second hand at 4 months old for 80. I have to be honest, I do notice the difference in casting etc, but do they catch more fish? No, but do I have more confidence in my equipment, that if I hook into something big, definitely. Having said all that. My next upload, I was using my old 25 pound rod, and landed a good size conger. So I still use the cheap rods, depending on what I'm fishing for, and where. We have some really deep fast running water on the island and the heavier rods are necessary on some marks, and the extra length helps getting up over the ledge. I wouldn't buy Penn again, but hopefully I won't need to replace anything for a while. Really appreciate the comment mate. Like I say, I pretty much agree with what you're saying, but after I blew a reel, my views did slightly change.👍👍
Love your enthusiasm. Makes me want to chuck the rods in the car and get out there myself.
Cheers buddy. Do it, you know it makes sense👍👍
Another great video Dylan, well done on the new species 👍
Thanks mate, was pretty chuffed to be honest, nice to get something different for a change👍👍
Love it down Brighstone Dylan,be well up for joining you anytime you fancy company there.

Awesome vid Dylan buddy!! keep em coming ✌👍
Cheers dude, much appreciated as always. Take care buddy 👍👍

well done Dylan another good video mate , i think that's pretty poor service off penn tbh , stay safe
Cheers buddy, yeah it's not great is it. Kind of expected more from them to be fair👍👍
Hi there have you done a video on salting rag worm baits how do go about it thanks
I haven't bud, but I will do the next time I do it. It worked really well, good way to save and reuse your rag rather than chucking it👍👍🎣🎣
sell the rod back to the guy you bought it from, get him to get it repaired then buy it back.
That's a very good idea, he's been great actually, gave me his details so I could get proof of purchase, but they still wouldn't sort it out👍👍
Good clear vid . Practice on your pout juggling
Hey Dave, you're right, definitely need more time on the practice slopes 😂😂👍
