Amazing review! My wife has purchased Lexus vehicles exclusively for 20 years now. After I totaled her GX 460, I encouraged her to go with Infinity or some other brand, but she knew better. She recently purchased this vehicle, and I'm glad she did. She's very happy with it. After viewing your very thorough review, I'm very happy she ignored my advice.
I just bought my 2024 350h and I love the drive. This video helps know more about my car. I agree with you I saw this car and thought of its purpose and I knew this was the car. I read reviews and all I hear is positive opinions!
I honestly didn't have a problem with the door handles or the shifter as much as I expected after watching reviews. Once you own the car, and you use it for a couple of weeks, it becomes second nature. The one thing for me, that's a huge help is the 360 degree camera when it comes to parking as I am coming from sedans my entire life. I would be afraid with the new blind spots when parking or coming close to something.
Funny enough I just noticed this today. I don’t the NX with us right now it’s getting additional ceramic on it. I’m in a rental Tesla Model 3 that doesn’t have all those camera angles and wow I’m way less comfortable maneuvering around now 😂
@@gosman949 The manual states 87 minimum but 91 or higher is recommended for best performance. I've only used 93 in my NX350h. Lately, I've been considering using 87 since it's cheaper and isn't detrimental to the vehicle.
I’m getting a 2024 NX Hybrid luxury 350in April I’m even getting a Cadium Orange!Thank you for your review. I’m feeling more comfortable seeing reviews like yours. I had to find the right dealership to get me that color!! Thank you
This is how a car review is done: KEEP eyes on the car not 90% on the driver yapping in the drivers seat. I am still shocked that there are major car review channels on youtube that will review a new car and the viewers never get to see shots of the car in motion on the road - yes from outside the car.
Thank you for the review . I personally love Lexus I just switched from ES to the NX waiting for the delivery of the car from Oakville Lexus , great helpful people great service every time . I’m really looking forward to driving my new car and your review really got me confident that my husband and I did a good purchase.
Great one-year review, Sonduren! Thank you! I’m glad to hear that after a year of driving the NX 350h you’re still passionate about it. You’re getting excellent gas mileage, better than my NX 350h, but I put that down to shorter trips in my car that don’t allow time for the car to warm up enough to get into ev mode as much. After 7 months of ownership, we’ve clocked about 4500 km (we’re in Japan and don’t drive out of the city much). I enjoy your reviews so keep them coming. Cheers!
I definitely need to visit Japan sometime. You just reminded me. Thank you so much. I’ll keep them coming and I’m glad you’re enjoying your purchase as much as I am 👍🙏
Got my NX at the same dealership about 3 months ago. Love it so far, I wish I had the chance to drive it more. I got the ML sound system, it was something I always wanted. XM and the portable music player sound great.
@@JeffDietzphoto I test drove an NX with and without ML. I noticed a difference between that made it worthwhile for me (more of a surround effect). The package also included the heads up display, I wanted that as well. Every car I have owned has had the mid-range speaker option, I should say that none of the vehicles I have owned would be considered "luxury". I always hated road trip highway driving and having to turn the volume up full blast to drown out the road noise. I think the insulation in the Lexus also contributes to the sound quality.
The heads up display is sole with pretty much all the cars now. As soon as you get the 14in upgrade all the dealerships have the ones with the headsup as well for an extra $1200. I wish they didn't because I'd prefer to have the ML instead of the heads up. But lexus is super weird with how they are packaging the cars. On their site you can add just the ML... but they aren't actually available that way, but they ARE available that way for the headsup display. It's very confusing because they shouldn't even have those packages on their site if you can't ever get them that way @@jhobeck2
Thanks good to hear. I have a UX and feel a lot of the same way. I'm retired, single and very seldom have anyone in the back. Plus, I live in a very urban neighborhood. So, it worked out well for me.
Same here, 3 in my household. My 17 ES350, wife’s 24 NX350h, son’s 08 RX350. As soon as the next gen ES hybrid comes out, I will be buying a second model year ES hybrid. Son will take my ES and daughter will take the RX. I will not buy other brands, well except a Porsche 911. 😊
Great to hear! They just recently came out with another software update for your information so beyond the lookout for that! Apparently it’s going to make the UI even more responsive.
@@k.j.hulander2204 There is an importer, but its quite a mess - and they dont even reply when you contact them (so not so confidence inspireing....). I have driven Volvos for many years and like them a lot (currently we have 2 x V60 Recharge 2023 in the household), but I simply cant use an EV, which is what Volvo is moving towards. But I know Toyota and Lexus from the past, so have been looking into Lexus instead. But alas, thats not going to happen in Denmark... Maybe its time to cross the water to Sweden!
Forget full EV. Lexus lend me a RZ450e with Mark Levinson. It had 60km range and i freaked out. When i would use heating, the number would be lower. So i had to not use too much heating in the middle of winter. Oh and the ML system on the RZ is not good. The ML system on my 2023 RX350h is simply amazing!!! The sub is hella loud. The HUD is a big plus for me because i don't have to remove the eyes from the road and have so much control over everything. The only complaint i have is that the door handles froze a couple of times and i had trouble activating it to get in the car. A simple trip to Lexus Lachine and the door handles were changed. Best feature of the car is the autopilot when you drive 40km or less. You don't have to touch your steering wheel at all if you enable recording on. The heating seat is not only heating but burning hot. Very good to save fuel if you want to warm up and not use heating. I still love my Nori Green Pearl after 11 months ownership!!
Really great to hear your experience has been so positive on the RX! The RZ, well… let’s say that car was a misfire. You got such a beautiful color to top it all off 🔥
is the ML really worth it compared to the stock? I'd like it but it's really hard to find models that have it at the dealerships. And it kicks up the price like $5k
@@JeffDietzphoto , I think that it is worth it. It sounds amazing, you can clearly hear the different instruments in the song as long as you have good quality stream or high bitrate songs on USB key. I like the fact that I have leather seats, HUD, triple beam headlamps as well. It's so bright at night.
UK here - got mine last September to replace the previous NX300h and could not be happier - it's more efficient, and the infotainment system is much better. Also got the white colours like yours and it looks amazing
We have a turbo Subaru Outback with CVT. Yes, I was initially concerned. But when you’re on the highway and you’re looking to pass, the CVT was the least of my concerns. It’s smooth, quiet and with jolting when you mat it. Good review on the NX. Looking at Lexus as our next vehicle.
I have a Lexus UX 250h because I wanted a smaller vehicle. I agree with your reviews. Hybrid drivetrain is great. Love the interior color--glazed caramel.
Great review. I agree with you on the exterior looks of this NX, especially with original non-black wheels you have. I think black color does not show the implied complexity and thus beauty of the wheels. Love your interior color as well. Enjoy the car for the rest of its life
what an awesome review, you convinced me to buy the Lexus NX 350h. Thank you for all the important information you gave us. Thank you, Michael and Patricia
I'm really glad to hear such good news after a year of using this car. Last week I ordered the same model with the exact same exterior color and black and white interior in luxury configuration. The car will be delivered from central warehouse in 2-4 weeks. I can say that I'm excited and can't wait to see it. So may it continue to serve you well, as befits a Lexus. Thanks for this report. I appreciate your experience with this amazing car.
@@gosman949 I'm from Europe, specifically Slovakia, and the dealer I visited told me it's from the central warehouse, but where the central warehouse is I don't know. By the way, I already have the car at home.
I got the 2024 NX350h Ultra Luxury in November 2023 and I've been loving it so far. It's my first Lexus and it's a game changer for driving in traffic compared to my old 2007 Mazda 3 Sport. Got it with black exterior and red interior. It was interesting to note that the dealer told me specifically to use regular fuel with it. Oh, and the automatic safety braking works really great. It full stopped my backing up in a busy parking lot with rain coming down when someone went around a waiting vehicle while I was backing up, while I had my foot on the brake. I feel very confident that it's going to keep me safe. I do wish I could have bought the ML sound system, I tried it in a loaner RX and it was amazing. It's worth getting if you can swing the extra 5k.
@@MsAnderson- Yes, premium is not required for the NX 350h I don't know about the non-hybrids or the RX 500h which has a 6 speed instead of the CVT. The guy who prepped my vehicle and set up my key said use regular gas. It's also recommended not required to use premium. Since it uses the same engine and 48 volt system as the RAV4, just tuned differently, it makes sense. I've been driving it with regular since November last year and had no issues at all.
@@Hamelekim1 my dealer also is telling me that it must use premium high-octane fuel. But since the 4 cylinder is naturally aspirated, it makes sense that 87 octane will be fine.
I'm getting my 2024 NX350H next week, can't wait. I wanted the palomino interior, so had to get the Grecian Water exterior. But after 28 years of white or silver cars, I'm ready to shake it up a bit. This is my 20th year as a Lexus owner, but my first hybrid. I'm ready for this new chapter!
Based off you review I am in the process of getting the NX350h and I'm in the UK by the way. I did feel the passenger side dashboard was bland looking but the 2024 have addressed that by making the glovebox colour coded with the interior seats and I'm going for the black and cream in the Takumi package (UK spec). Good review and thank you
Been 6 months for me and it’s been amazing. Also, just recently received the second key about a month ago. I do have ML system and I know exactly what you meant by that holding steering wheel every 15 seconds 😂
@@JeffDietzphoto For me it took me two months to get that car after deposit last year. I wanted to pay for the ML system because hated the basic system in my previous car Nissan and I always wanted the ML system. I would say it’s worth it if you are able to afford it. I saw various videos comparing the basic system vs ML system and went to the dealership to check both systems before deciding on ML.
Hi Sonduren. Great video. Was enjoyable to watch. How’s this for crazy… my partner purchased an NX350h on the 3rd of March 2022… and we’re still waiting. That’s right… we’re just about to hit the two year mark - for what will a very similar spec to yours. We’re in Australia and our market’s NXs are made in Japan. Just incredible hey!! Well incredible / mind-blowingly annoying. We were told it’ll be arriving Feb ie. now, but no word yet. So consider yourself very very VERY lucky. The way that they spec the hybrids in Australia is base Luxury… then you move to either an F Sport or Sports Luxury for the same price. We then have two Enhancement Packs, the first of which is the pano roof - which my partner wanted. Mark Levinson comes standard in our Sports Luxury. Ive been watching NX videos for two years now… wondering when it’ll arrive. Good to hear you’re enjoying yours for the most part.
Dude, that is absolutely insane. I don’t think I would’ve waited two years personally that is an incredibly long period of time. I can only cross my fingers and hope that you get yours soon. It’s interesting how the packages are different to cross each market.
I got my 2025 NX350h in August 2024. Traded my 2023 NX350 gas only model in for it. My gas only model got maybe around 500kms per tank…about 9.5L/100km. My new hybrid model was getting just over 700kms per tank in August…about 5.6L/100km. Now in November I’m lucky to get 600kms per tank…was 7.2L/100km recently. I know the temperature will affect the performance but I’m wondering how it’s going to be in January? What was your gas mileage like in the dead of winter? 🥶 L/100km and max total kms per tank?
Thanks for the review. Love the car just a comment check for CVT system Toyota and Lexus systems are not as the other brand cars they modify and make the system work since they remove first gear from the system. There is some videos about I think your followers will love to know with the review. Thanks
basically Lexus, or this awesome model at least, is for down to earth, coherent intelligent people feeling good in their own skin not looking to impress anyone. I'm on board. Plus the design... inspiring ALL the car industry...
Gas tank size is a big deal... glad you mentioned it... Hate that these Hybrid makers always seem to shrink the tank size! All of these cars should be going for at least 600 mile range! (especially to further shame EVs which are lucky to go 300)
And make larger wheels OPTIONAL on ALL trims!... these are hybrids. Some of us want features AND want the best MPG/range possible... not to mention the more comfortable ride of smaller wheels.
Thanks for the review. Im into 4 months of ownership the same model. Did you happen to Replace the charging pad ? With my pixel 7 i have given up using it for charging, Kindly advice
I’ve got the same vehicle, other than a different colour (green - fell in love with the colour) and mine has the executive package. For a retiree couple I think it’s the perfect size…and I love the sound system that comes with the executive package. Interestingly, I normally drive in eco mode so I guess the power’s sufficient!
Great review. You mentioned the car will take regular 87 octane gas but the manual recommends premium. Have you had any problems using regular gas? Thank you.
Great recap Sonduren, enjoyed your review and happy you’re having a great experience. You wondered what the torque is, as did I a few weeks ago and found a site testing 232 ft-lbs of total hybrid system output.
How do you like having the mudguards? Do they really work to keep debris off the sides? I just got a 2024 350h last week (in USA) and it doesn’t have mudguards. I have an appointment Tuesday morning to have them installed but am back and forth on it. I also have the white like you. Appreciate any feedback. Thx!
The only thing that would hold me back from getting this car is the run flat tyres. They travel half the km of regular tyres before they need replacing, and cost twice as much as regular tyres (in Australia). My wife has a Lexus IS300h, that she loves, but every 30000km we were replacing 2 tyres , as they were not wearing evenly. The last time they needed replacing, I replaced with regular tyres. The ride was already good, but now even better, and even quieter. I got road side service in case we get a flat (I have not had a flat for over 30 year... maybe lucky....). If the dealer threw in a space saver flat I would get one of these. The Khaki Green for me is the best colour, with hazel interior. In Aust, the base spec is called luxury, this is what I would get. F Sport has bigger tyres, stiffer suspension and that is not what this car is about (in my opinion). NX350h luxury in green driveaway is about AUD80,000.
Great review! How is the triple beam head light in the night? It would be the main reason for me to go up to Ultra Luxury trim. Is it worth the money? Thank you.
Hey Sonduren, I’ve seen a lot of people online discuss the fragile nature of the soft touch dash finish. Some people have experienced scratches to the finish using new microfiber cloths. Have you experienced anything like this? Thanks!
Great review. Just wondering for the 350H, can you have the a/c or heat on when the engine is off? Kind of like camp mode for tesla cars. If not, would you know if the 450H+ Plug in version can do this? Thanks.
Do you wish they didn’t have run flat tires? You said they make for more noise in the cabin. Maybe Michelin tires with a spare tire in back instead of storage compartments??
In terms of CVT, it appears Toyota has made theirs very well. I have a 14 year old corolla mated to a cvt with 100,000 kms to date, and it's still good like it was on day 1.
Thx for the vid. Have watched a number of yours. Curious, how do you adjust how fast the car accelerates? And how does the car do lane changes automatically? We have the version one up from base (premium?). Maybe we don't have those features? Lastly, do you always drive in eco and, if so, why? We have been using only normal so far.
Thanks man! You can adjust how quickly it accelerates in the settings page. You can also adjust how quickly it will brake. If you want to engage lane changes assist, you need to hold down the stock. I always drive an Eco as it adjusts the shifting and engine timing to be more efficient. To be honest with you you don’t even notice the difference in every day, driving between any of the modes may a little bit in sport mode.
@MrUKokot like you need to press down and hold at the bottom of the travel distance when you’re pushing down the stock. You need to make sure that you are driving out over 90 km an hour as well or it won’t activate.
Your car is basically the same as my RAV4 hybrid. And since you are in Canada I can already tell you already that you will be dealing with the cable gate problem, just as I have. This if you don't apply additional protection at is weak point.
Hey Sonduren. Wow! You really used the car in 1 year. Do you have 2 or 3 cars? How do you balance the use of them? At this point, I am retired and I have 3 cars. The NX350h, the GS350Fsport and an older toyota solara that my wife who just got her license is using until she gets enough experience. I try to baby them. I have 1 garaged, the other with a cover when it's going to rain, and I also use the Solara if I am going on what I call a utility run. Like having to park in the street, or if I am picking up heavy or things that could get the newer cars dirty. I love the Palomino interior. I really like the quiet when it's running on electricity. How do you make sure to drive your cars enough? Did you ever worry that you are not using one of them enough? I agree with you with the size. We have a small family. I am the only guy. The rest are my mom, my wife, and my daughter. I also don't like the feeling of larger vehicles. They are really nice for the passengers but tend to not be as nimble as the smaller versions.
So right now I have two cars. You’re right I ended up having too many and decided to sell both my 2008 IS250 and 2006 IS350. So now I just have the NX and 2008 Audi R8. I wasn’t driving the other vehicles at all, so I just didn’t make sense to keep them anymore as much as it pained me to sell them. I’m glad you also liked the interior choice we made we still love it :-)
@@carswithsonduren thx. I am going with the IGLA as well as PPF on the front end and overall ceramic coat. Usually do rustproofing for my vehicles in Ontario but don’t want drilling into my side panels ( Krowne or Rust Check) dealer is offering a vulcanized undercarriage spray but again I’m wary! Thoughts?
thanks for your video I have exact same model except for red interior. My complaints so far is major rattles , no room for a spare tire and can't seam to get the latest software updates . Can you give me your link for your oil change debating if I want to do it.
Hello Sonduren, great review. This was super helpful. I’m torn between this and the rx350h. I think the nx looks much better, but am concerned with the 2nd row space. Have you tried fitting a car seat in the back?
Yes, I have a car seat in the back. Of course the RX has a bit more space and I made a video on that as well you can check out with a car seat back there. If you have two kids or are planning on having two kids, you might want to consider the RX.
Wow $51k with ultra luxury package. Here in CA, that would get u just the base Premium package. The Cloudburst Gray or Atomic Silver in palomino are hard to come by.
As GQQD as this is............. The EVEN BETTER Model is the 450H+ "F" Sport......Do Not even buy gas for 49 miles plug-in 89 miles per gal on hybred....much more power and Adaptive Suspension giving the ride stiffer on corners and even softer than yours on Highway....dump run flat tires and GET Michelin's NOW......Much softer ride and better mileage because of less rolling resistance....Has with a MUCH nicer looking from Fascia w/ large black functional air intakes
AS an owner of a Lexus 2024 350H, the worst thing for me is that the Mark Levinson system drops the bass or blows out above the 52 volume setting, what a piece of crap for the money, Dealership promised a new amp, but has yet to fix after 7 months
We are looking at the NX350 and NX350h. Same price (I live in Memphis). My wife wants the turbo and many car enthusiasts prefer the automatic transmission over the eCVT. She does almost entirely city driving. Keeps her cars about 10 years. I prefer the h. Anyone have comments?
I don't know why you would void your warranty by doing oil changes yourself on a new car. In Australia, Lexus concierge will pick your car up, leave a loan car, service it, drop if back to your home, washed, with Lexus biscotti. Of course, you end up paying for this, but the sales and service experience has been excellent, once a Lexus customer, always a Lexus customer.
Tempted by this when I change my Mk1 Evoque HSE. I like the RR, but reliability of the brand isn’t statistically great. Though to date mine has been good. Thanks for such a detailed ownership review. Sounds like it would be great on our busy UK roads. 👍
Good to hear that so far your experience has been great! My own personal experience for RR with my friends that own it they have some serious reliability issues, especially after a couple years of ownership.

It's probably a midlife crisis on my part. Lol. I was really aiming for 2 vehicles, tops, but then my wife decided to finally attempt to get her driver's license, and as a new driver, I can't give her one of the Lexuses. That's how I got stuck with 3.

@@carswithsonduren that's my thought exactly. I initially foolishly planned on her driving one of the Lexus cars, but then I woke up and saw the reality 😯. Only thing where chips in the bumper when people street parked. Within the first 2 days of her driving, she caused a 5 ft scratch along the passenger side. 🥴
3:14 - Did you say this DOES NOT REQUIRE Premium?? I'm so confused. I've been toldit does at the dealership. Are you really putting regular gas in it? I would get this vehicle based on this alone.
@@carswithsonduren I went to a dealership and they said premium!?! Everywhere online says premium. I’m trying to find where in the manual it says regular is ok. Love our new 2024 Lexus NX 350h. We have had it for 6 months now. BUT I cannot get a straight answer about fuel type. The owner’s manual (or the gas tank cap) says nothing about the recommended minimum of 91 octane (premium) but the Lexus official website does say 91 is recommended minimum. Can you/somebody comment on this please? (There are warnings about engine damage if using less than 91 octane!!)
It's also interesting how you got this you say for 70k CAD... that's about $51k in US dollars. But what you have on that car would cost about $57k here plus taxes so almost $60k... did you work them down on price successfully?
Oh, one more thing. Do you really use the sport mode much? I find that I am always in a gas saving mindset with this car, so I try to keep it in normal.
Regardless what you need, always go for a Toyota or Lexus and you will be glad you did.
That is exactly what I’m looking for in a car, comfort, luxury and rock solid reliability

It's very confusing because they shouldn't even have those packages on their site if you can't ever get them that way

Thanks good to hear. I have a UX and feel a lot of the same way. I'm retired, single and very seldom have anyone in the back. Plus, I live in a very urban neighborhood. So, it worked out well for me.
I love it totally. I love all Lexus vehicles
Same been a Lexus owner for like 12 years
Same here, 3 in my household. 😊
Now this is what happens when you have built a great brand you get loyal customers! Nice lineup :)
@@carswithsonduren thanks. Only a Porsche 911 can break my loyalty :)
Thanks for this honest review, Sonduren! I have been enjoying my NX350h since end of Sept '23 and love it so far
Great to hear! They just recently came out with another software update for your information so beyond the lookout for that! Apparently it’s going to make the UI even more responsive.
What a great looking car - WOW! Wished that we could get Lexus in Denmark.....
Wait you can’t? All over the place in Sweden 😅
Congratulations man and welcome to the channel! We are loving ours every single day
Fantastic information. We're currently in the process of buying an NX 350 F Sport 3 and this video was very helpful. Cheers!
Glad it was helpful and welcome to the channel :)
Nice I hope you’re enjoying it! Welcome to the channel by the way 👍
Great review. I agree with you on the exterior looks of this NX, especially with original non-black wheels you have. I think black color does not show the implied complexity and thus beauty of the wheels. Love your interior color as well. Enjoy the car for the rest of its life
Thank you and I definitely will. We plan on keeping this long-term.
what an awesome review, you convinced me to buy the Lexus NX 350h. Thank you for all the important information you gave us.
Thank you, Michael and Patricia
Glad the video was helpful. Welcome to the channel and let me know when you pull the trigger and when you finally get the car.
I appreciate your experience with this amazing car.
were you able to order what you want?
You were told you could use regular gas?? 87? I’m so confused. I’ve been told premium is required. If regular, I would get this immediately.
Go get an amp and leave your speakers alone. The speakers will actually perform better and it’s about $4000
@@MsAnderson-premium is suggested but not required
Great information and nicely shot video, I’ll be doing a 1 year ownership video in a couple of months with my lexus too
Looking forward to that video in that case :)
That’s awesome congratulations Linda :) you will absolutely enjoy it. Definitely send me a picture once you get it!
Excellent review, really appreciate ALL the detail!
Thank you Rick and welcome to the channel 👋
Based off you review I am in the process of getting the NX350h and I'm in the UK by the way. I did feel the passenger side dashboard was bland looking but the 2024 have addressed that by making the glovebox colour coded with the interior seats and I'm going for the black and cream in the Takumi package (UK spec). Good review and thank you
That’s awesome welcome to the channel and I know you’re gonna absolutely enjoy it! We are still in love with it!
Been 6 months for me and it’s been amazing. Also, just recently received the second key about a month ago. I do have ML system and I know exactly what you meant by that holding steering wheel every 15 seconds 😂
That’s awesome. We also just got our second key heads up and new software update just released we should get it in Canada in the next couple days.
I'm asking everyone. Is the ML system worth it? It's hard to find and it bumps price up $5k
Great review. The things I like about Toyota (Lexus); reliability and quality.
My sister’s is sports luxury 350h awd ordered in May 2022, still no word on build date yet either. She doesn’t need the car so doesn’t mind waiting.
Very normal in the winter as both the engine and battery lose efficiency.
Best review I have seen on this car. Also thanks for going into detail with everything throughout the Lexus NX350H. Thank-You!
I really appreciate that Michael thank you! Welcome to the channel!
Completely agree with you!
Thanks for the review. Im into 4 months of ownership the same model. Did you happen to Replace the charging pad ? With my pixel 7 i have given up using it for charging, Kindly advice
Thanks for the impression, i'm thinking of getting the NX350H as well for my family.
You will love it! How big is your family?
What do you think of the NEW NX Hybrid?
what has changed?
I’ve got the same vehicle, other than a different colour (green - fell in love with the colour) and mine has the executive package. For a retiree couple I think it’s the perfect size…and I love the sound system that comes with the executive package. Interestingly, I normally drive in eco mode so I guess the power’s sufficient!
Congratulations! We love it still and couldn’t be happier. It’s gonna last you for as long as you need!
it looks good that interior color is beaultiful
Great review. You mentioned the car will take regular 87 octane gas but the manual recommends premium. Have you had any problems using regular gas? Thank you.
My manual in Canada for the NX350h hybrid says 87 minimum, 91 recommended. Not a single issue with 87 since I had the car in my hands until now.
Great review! Appreciate the real world experience and feedback.
Just bought '25 NX350h Atomic Silver/Palomino last week. Love it!
I just got my ‘25 NX350h AWD atomic silver/palomino. May I ask if you got it below MSRP? Im curious to know if i really got a gd deal?
OK, man, I am getting in the line for this one. I am not rushing, but this one looks as the one to keep long term.
Absolutely I’m definitely keeping this one long-term.
Great recap Sonduren, enjoyed your review and happy you’re having a great experience.
You wondered what the torque is, as did I a few weeks ago and found a site testing 232 ft-lbs of total hybrid system output.
Okay so even more than I thought. Incredible! Love it. Thanks as well 🙏 we are loving it. Funny enough getting XPEL PPF on it now.
Where are you getting it and for how much?
How do you like having the mudguards? Do they really work to keep debris off the sides? I just got a 2024 350h last week (in USA) and it doesn’t have mudguards. I have an appointment Tuesday morning to have them installed but am back and forth on it. I also have the white like you. Appreciate any feedback. Thx!
They really do help, I would say get them!
Great review, thanks for such a solid and thorough review, very impressive!
Thank you.
1000% worth the money. My wife frequently says it’s lights up the road unlike anything we drive.
Thanks.
No, you can’t have those on with the engine off on the 350h, I’m not sure about the 450h+ though
Do you wish they didn’t have run flat tires? You said they make for more noise in the cabin. Maybe Michelin tires with a spare tire in back instead of storage compartments??
Yes small sacrifice but it’s not a deal breaker.
In terms of CVT, it appears Toyota has made theirs very well. I have a 14 year old corolla mated to a cvt with 100,000 kms to date, and it's still good like it was on day 1.
Totally agree and it’s one of the biggest values buying a Toyota or Lexus vehicle.
great reviwe thanks

Thank you for the info just one more question.
Are yours 18in or 20?
@user-dh5ny5bs5y winters are 18s!
@@carswithsonduren Appreciate the reply. About to do my first oil change so will review your oil change video again.
@@carswithsonduren Can you explain 'holding down the stock' for lane change assist? I actually haven't ever turned on the lane change assist.
@MrUKokot like you need to press down and hold at the bottom of the travel distance when you’re pushing down the stock. You need to make sure that you are driving out over 90 km an hour as well or it won’t activate.
@MrUKokot awesome good luck it’s fairly simple and the video should really help :)
I’m glad you also liked the interior choice we made we still love it :-)
Do the lighter seats get dirty faster or any issues with them marking up?
No issues with either but of course you will naturally see them get dirtier easier vs a black.
Great review! Just curious as to what if anything you added to deal with thefts in Ontario (immobilizer) and rust proofing?
Nothing for rustproofing, but I added IGLA for a security system. Very happy with the unit. I did a bunch of videos on it.
@@carswithsonduren thx. I am going with the IGLA as well as PPF on the front end and overall ceramic coat. Thank you and very helpful info.
Thanks for the great video! Just wondering if you got the Extra Care Protection. Do you think it's worth it?
I didn’t I personally don’t think it’s worth it but it’s all up to personal preference.

Thanks for this! I’m convinced this is my next car, but I’d like to get the last year model before they make it fully electric in the next gen.
I just do something about all that unpainted plastic on the bottom, plaguing most new vehicles. It’s just so cheap looking.
Does this car have enough passing power on the highways? I’m considering it but the torque values worry me.

How do you think this would compare with a Volvo XC60
It's probably a midlife crisis on my part. Lol. I was really aiming for 2 vehicles, tops, but then my wife decided to finally attempt to get her driver's license, and as a new driver, I can't give her one of the Lexuses. That's how I got stuck with 3.

@@carswithsonduren that's my thought exactly. I initially foolishly planned on her driving one of the Lexus cars, but then I woke up and saw the reality 😯. It takes most people a few years at best I think when they first start driving. You can't hand them an expensive car while they learn. I had the Solara for over 20 years without an incident. Only thing where chips in the bumper when people street parked. Within the first 2 days of her driving, she caused a 5 ft scratch along the passenger side. 🥴

Yes the NX is in between the X1 and X3 in length.
3:14 - Did you say this DOES NOT REQUIRE Premium?? I'm so confused. I've been toldit does at the dealership. Are you really putting regular gas in it? I would get this vehicle based on this alone.
For the hybrid model regular gas is the minimum required.
@@carswithsonduren I went to a dealership and they said premium!?! Everywhere online says premium. I’m trying to find where in the manual it says regular is ok. I’m on the fence about buying this car but this would make me get it. I promised myself I wouldn’t get a premium gas vehicle again after driving a Mercedes that was a real gas guzzler. I love this hybrid .. but was reluctant because of the premium requirement. This changes everything. Thank you
It’s in the owners manual. Trust me. Take a look. 87 minimum. 91 is “optimal”. I have used 87 and not a single issue :) 91 is only needed for the turbo engines.
@@carswithsonduren i’ve downloaded the 800plus page manual online and I’m now searching to find this. If you know what page it’s on, let me know. Thanks a million again!!!
What about the possible cost of repairs and maintenance? I’m hoping it’s comparable to Toyota. I’m coming from a Mercedes, so I’m sick of high cost maintenance cars.
That’s so interesting. My 2023 says 87 is the minimum requirement in the owners manual.
It's also interesting how you got this you say for 70k CAD... that's about $51k in US dollars. But what you have on that car would cost about $57k here plus taxes so almost $60k... did you work them down on price successfully?
No, this is what I paid at MSRP in Canada plus taxes. They didn’t end up, making me pay any other fees, though
Oh, one more thing. Do you really use the sport mode much? I find that I am always in a gas saving mindset with this car, so I try to keep it in normal.
I have literally used it may be a couple times just for the sake of using it. Realistically, it’s never used. Almost quite literally.
