Wow! This is so awesome! I'm going to do this....with Easter coming up, I'll bet this would make an incredibly beautiful Easter basket! Thanks again Miss Donna for yet another amazing tutorial! Off to the craft store I must go! "Hoppy" creating!!!!
WoW! This is something I need to gather for me 7 year old granddaughter whom is wanting to learn crochet, could get to get used to the feel of holding , looping yarn.🥰 Brilliant! Thank you for sharing. Leticia
Thank you! I have watched several videos to try and learn how to do this. Yours is the easiest to understand and to see what you are doing. You are such an awesome teacher.
Thanks for sharing this info. It’s come at the perfect time as I was just about to find some yarn in my stash and start locker hooking for the first time. Queensland Australia.
Hi Donna! I've been wanting to try this for years but haven't yet. I even went as far to purchase books that were on clearance and the canvas but just haven't bit the bullet. This, along with the Addi King Machine may help give my painful crochet hands. Thank you for bringing this to my attention again.
When doing the heart I think I understand but what about involved designs. Do you ever pass over the back to put in a couple more stitches? Very new to this as I just saw a piece done yesterday. I like so going to the store today. Thank you for showing how to do this.
I don't think I understand your question about passing over the back. For more involved designs you'll probably use a thinner mesh, and a thinner hook, which will allow for more stitches per inch, thus producing more details in the work. However the process will still remain the same as in the video.
I'm wondering if this can be done with worsted weight yarn, if a finer canvas is used. Or maybe double up the yarn. Just now thought of that option. I don't usually buy bulky, because of its cost.
Oh yes, in the past people used regular worsted weight yarn and a fine mesh canvas. They made gorgeous and detailed "paintings" using the thinner yarn/canvas.
Oh most definitely with the cro-tatting. With the needle tatting, I prefer using long yarn needles (like sewing needles but thicker in diameter for yarn), which work great if you want to needle tat with more of a yarn than traditional thread.
Donna, I picked up a locker hook at Michael's years ago not knowing what it was or how to use it. Lol! Thank you for finally resolving my "mystery hook" issues. 💜☮️🧶
NEW Videos Weekly! Written info in description of video.
I love how you just nonchalantly showed how to make a locker hook...you're the crochet queen👸❤
Thanks so much!
I bought a kit for a potholder several years ago. That tool is a great thing to have for pulling drawstrings or elastic through waistbands.
Agreed!

What size locker hook are you using?
Wow, it's the first time I've seen this craft. It's so cool! Is it ok to pin to Pinterest?
I'm pretty sure RUclips allows you to pin RUclips video links to Pinterest.
Do you think this needle&hook will work in cro-tatting and needle tatting? One tool for both? 🤔
Oh most definitely with the cro-tatting. With the needle tatting, I prefer using long yarn needles (like sewing needles but thicker in diameter for yarn), which work great if you want to needle tat with more of a yarn than traditional thread.
