Beautiful Jenna!!❤I loved watching you create the drawing of the flower. I have a question…lately I have been bombarded with ads for the Lucy (tracer?) telling me how it will improve my drawing technique. I would like to know what you think about it. Thank you for the beautiful painting, I don’t know if you have done a hydrangea, Ian trying but it always comes out looking flat, like a squashed bunch of little flowers.😂

Lovely flower. Reminds me of magnolias a bit, so I was unsurprised to hear it's native to Georgia. And suddenly I want to watch Steel Magnolias for the eleventy billionth time.
Also, I don't know why some people want to discard flat brushes into just the "wash brush" category. You can do SO much. I once painted a view of Mt. Vesuvius from within the ruins of Pompeii almost exclusively with a 1/2" flat brush. I did switch to a #4 round for some details on the columns and brickwork and some of the greenery on the flanks of the volcano, but I'd say a good 90% was done with the flat. Super versatile brush.

I have never seen a video of that tree flower either, a tulip tree sure. I am wondering about how you might have done your background without gouache? Do you always mix your mediums? Jenna, this Instruction is awesome! I'm in Georgia and haven't heard of this flower.
Question: how to paint the little "Bread & Butter" daffodils now blooming in my yard. They are much smaller than the regular yellow daffodil. My problem is that their petals are a VERY Pale Yellow White. Close to "cream" but with a bit/hint of yellow. I got stumped last night, trying to paint them. Do you have any recommendations?
