Vauxhall Meriva 1.4, 2011, Coolant expansion tank repair explanation.

- The coolant tank was leaking for to being insecurely attached from moving so basically just whacked cracks by hitting the ABS module. I tried the super glue and baking soda trick but it was incoherently not enough to stop the leak. Saved time and money of buying a knew tank from eBay also a knew cap from Pbay. 😇✌🏽🚗🔧🔨🪚🪛🔩📐📏🖇️📎🔗⛓️⚙️🖌️🖍️🖊️📐📔📔📒📚🖋️✒️✏️✂️🗑️📰🗞️🏷️

Did you have to remove the battery or any of the bulk head covers to get the tank out? I've removed the clips but can't slide it up high enough to take it out.
I had to remove the battery, the was no way I could take out the tank so easy, or without damaging anything else. Just remove the battery also you don't want coolant spilling on any live terminals which could short something out. Good luck! 👌🙅🏾🍀

I worked for a vauxhall dealership in parts. These tanks were always leaking from underneath.
I had to do mine. I remember the clip at the back being so hard to remove. Jokes how they build cars. Now tip for you... that unit below it is the hydraulic brake unit. It was common for the tank to leak all over it, resulting in knocking out your power steering and many other electrical components like your park brake ect. (This happened to me and cost me a fortune).
I have covered mine with a plastic bag should my tank leak again.
The early meriva upto 2013 was riddled with faults but the later ones 2014 onwards, we hardly saw them. Hope this helps
