- In today's video, we hit up the local mexico streets and find out who has the fastest MQB car! A lot of the fast guys didnt show up & i forgot to record the L i took lol. Either way we had some good fun!

This video is awesome for several reasons, but it’s really awesome to put those IS20 boys in their place. IS20 is cool, but IS38 is better.
Also shows how much faster an IS38 GTI with a tune is compared to a Stage 2 Golf R. Weight to power and less drivetrain loss ftw

I would love to run my MK7 GTI 6spd manual, with IS38 and custom tuned on meth, against your DSG IS38 on E30. This would be a legit “versus” and would be cool to see which is faster, E-blend or meth.

You must have 3legs or clutch with your wiener lol jk to not have lost to dsg, I know about the longer gears on the 6speed but Again the video itself is self explanatory if you don’t want facts from me. Answer to your own post is right under the play button no matter how you cut it, you would have a descent race if Jose goes his 93 tune tho. ✌️

I'm looking I to buying a gti around 2016-2018 w/ DSG but the mileage is so high over 100k plus. Do you think these engines and trans are good over that mileage?
I know this post is old, but I wonder how a IS20 Stage 2 Full E85 would stack? Love your videos. I’m going IS38 plus soon.
You're going to blow your turbo or have wastegate issues one way or another soon with full E85. Stock IS20 just isn't reliable on these MK7 GTIs

@@maiingon316 I've seen IS20s malfunction on full E85, these factory turbos are trash. Mainly due to the WG actuator arm was so poorly designed. And then there's the turbine bearing issues... Don't even get me started!
@@drsnowmon I guess I'll prove you wrong when I get my hpfp installed. IE just came out with my tune for flex fuel. I bet I have no problems. Maybe the older cars have problems idk

Those CTR’s have really grown on me as far as the styling is concerned. Still not a fan of its rear end, but I love the front wide fenders. Looks mean, especially in white. Still though, it’s considered a tuner car, and for the cost to get into one, it’s just not worth it. They get gapped by MK7 GTI’s mod for mod in speed.
Unless people take the ctr to the track it makes no sense why they buy it just to do highway and 1/4 mile lol
@@MsDejavue facts. I was just at SEMA, and there was a guy racing his CTR there. He had a tune and FBO, with upgraded brakes too. It was a small autocross track. He had almost the slowest lap times. Reason being, that I noticed, was mostly because it was FWD, and the gearing is so short in that car that where others didn’t have to shift, the CTR dude had to, which slowed his times down a lot. Overrated car for the $$.

@@MsDejavue no. It was an actual pro amateur event, and the drivers had to qualify in other races to get to race at this one. Let’s be real. 99.9% of car enthusiast drivers on the street aren’t that skilled, and are low bracket amateur lol.
The drivers were all within 2.5 seconds of each other, from slowest to fastest. The CTR just can’t hang with better cars.
@@JacesOwnWorld for example, I like to look at nurburgring list of lap times and it's all different. Even some slow car got better lap times then the fast cars. Ctr not the fastest but it should be impressive at the track.

In my opinion focus and fiesta look like the hottest hatch, but in terms of performance the gti has it hands down

Before I got my MK7 GTI I was in a MK4 R32... although I miss the exhaust note the MK7 platform is just so good for modding...
