I'm really disappointed that there weren't any air horn scares with the trident! Lol that sprayer is a beast!
Oh there was! 😂 Just not on video
So the perfect sprayer would be a trident frame with the engine set up like the patriot in the back. Then put a john deere cab on it and make it run 40 mph empty and 32 loaded. Give it a rogator boom and recovery system together with a 2000 Gallon tank and tag it with the price of the Apache.
😂 Absolutely!!
🤣
Oh so you mean an Agrifrac?
First time Aqua Man made a farming video. I salute you sir.
Love the old 760 , I don't care about all the new bells and whistles , you'll never outclass the old CLASSY MASSEY !!! You sprayer reviews have been very interesting , can't wait for the combines , and I'm very thankful to you and the manufacturers for supplying the machines and the crops !!
Thank you Mike for doing these video's on showing the good and the bad.
Thank you to the dealers for giving Mike and the crew a chance to try your machines.
Can't wait to see the harvest videos. It will be fun to see all the combines in action.
Wow... Im so excited... Good luck with harvest
You can have the Trident. We have three at the coop. Lots of dumb electrical issues, sucks fuel, noisy. We like our Patriots, we demoed a new Deere this year and our guys really liked it, so we ordered one. Oh yes that fuel fill is horrible!
X9 will be something to see.
Yeah but after all these 8900 Lexion videos taking over RUclips it can only disappoint. Classic JD they take a year to accurately copy invention. Our farm runs 8900’s and compared to just 3 years ago the service now compared to back then is worlds apart. Claas is going all-in on the US market and it’s a succes story on all fronts. Kinda the same for the Fendt Fixed-frame journey these European brands aren’t messing around and I’m loving it. The Green va Red rivalry had us forget about actual tech development. New Holland is just about the only brand left that’s clinging to the Europeans. They aren’t flashy but they’re the most reliable US brand left standing.
@@xSCHEF Disagree.. X9 has been a long term project for john deere, its a class for it self. It outround lexion 8900 easy.
@@GIGOLD-cp2or the worldmarktleader in harvester is claas
The Deere’s are offered with 380 tires for 30” corn rows. It’s not enough tire but, it makes late post emerge spraying more fun. We run 380 R54 tires for a slightly larger footprint. Very simple tire change for us, just cut a piece of angle iron as as a spacer. Can swap tires in under 2 hours with 2 guys.
A couple pieces of angle iron on struts to change tires. And a couple pieces of angle iron to raze the fenders and all is good.
I think you should try that Hardi Rubicon sprayer. 160' boom 2400 gallon tank. You'd probably fall in love with it.
Any one else noticed that mike doesn’t like the pro 700 😂, great video mike , nice comparison
I have a new holland 345, 1600gal, front boom, would love to see you demo one of those.
The first thing every engineer should do is climb into the cab with a cup and find the best spot to put it no matter what has to be done to make it happen make it happen
Farmers appreciate other farmers. We can always learn something from each other and you roll it all up into some fun and entertainment. Better that the crap out of Hollywood nowadays. Nice to see an honest review and comparison on the different sprayers. How about price? At the end of the day most decisions are down to the cost of the machines.
Deere
Trident, Rogator 1600
Patriot
Apache
It sounded like everyone that ran the deer liked it best .. Having a good cab is really important on those long days
Yes, the Deere is very comfortable to drive and quiter due to its engine management software and the cab is plush. What eveyone liked about it was its power, speed, and 2000gal potential =efficiency
Gotta do something about that tire size though, being more prone to burying itself can eat away at those pros in a big way!
Saying the patriot and trident cabs are outdated is a massive understatement. There should be no reason to be running a 15 year old cab console designed for a combine in a sprayer. They need to fix that ASAP, and case isn’t the only company that does that with their cabs. Like seriously, my Deere 9670 cab is the same cab that I had on my 9600 back in the day.
Well to be fair, the 9670 is a decade old now
@@aaronfogg302 Indeed it is sir, indeed it is. How time flies.
4:06 that really made me laugh! Stay safe up there!
Mike, if you want to use the brake pedal on the Patriot just unplug the pressure switch at the pedal.
Great video Mike
Mike, you need to unplug the switch on the brake pedal on the patriot. You can then apply the brake without it throwing you into the windshield.
I wish I knew that 10yrs ago! 😂 🤷♂️
@@mikemitchell2554 give it a try and let me know if it works on yours. We had a 4410 and now a 4420 and we did it to both of them.
Man I’m pump to see x9 eating some crops!!! She will be the best combine in your fleet man! Lol 😂
One would certainly hope so! For as much as people talk about brands, I would hope that everyone would agree that the newest generation of product from any brand should be better than its competitors when it's launched. If you're launching a brand new ground up product and you aren't better than your competitor's older products, well, someone REALLY dropped the ball...
The john deere planetary system has a huge flaw, they do not like travelling fast with a full load on road gear. You will blow your hubs eventually. Our sprayer blew a couple.this season from that.
Great integral review Mike, Thanks.
Clear story, after all Pros & Cons. You like the Trident, particularly because of a big horn and the empty speed on the road, etc. So priority one is to be able with your sprayer, to scare every farmer or anyone else in the area once you meet and to take over whenever possible. Guess deep inside of you you're a racer, maybe a farm racer, but definitely a racer. It has to go quick on the road. Seems to me, but I don't know. Thnx for superb video 👌🙂
The Deere has a foot that bolts on at the bottom that you use a bottle jack. It’s mounted on the right side on the frame.
With the speed limiter, dated cab(and especially the ancient electronics system), and smaller tank, I thought it was surprising to hear that the Trident is probably the favorite, those are some pretty notable cons.
Great bones underneath, that thing is straight BEEF, and nice power of course, but it does seem like CNH is just lagging behind in the user friendliness/creature comforts/interior fit & fin.
They better be stepping it up in a big way with the next generation, electronic integration of all farm equipment and the quality of the user experience is only becoming more and more important, it isn't just about having a good team of mechanical engineers any more
delvano is also a good sprayer
You tried the rest now get the best, Agrifac condor endurance, 2100 gallon tank, 183ft of boom, that’s 55 fricken meters wide!!! and recirculating boom and all the other cool tools on there. At least take a look at one at a dealer. I’ve rode in one and such a smooth ride!
I would run one of they braught one down. But otherwise, they very expensive with no dealer support in my area.
Mike Mitchell fair enough, hard to buy without dealer support. Great videos, looking forward to combine comparisons, I run a Claas here, keep up the good work, and congratulations on getting married
I like how you start screaming at the trident
every time you talk about it I'm like "WTF was Case thinking with these ridiculous brakes???"
What a good review the trident frame seems to be really strong. They just need to put 3000gallon tank on it
Too heavy
Griffin Currie ya the extra 8k lb might be a problem but guessing you could have dynamic air pressure for tires to increase surface area of the tires. Thus make it work
Ij
I would LOVE to see you compare your current Ideal 9, the new 10T (with joysticks), the X9 1100 and the new Claas, either 8800 or 8900 - all of them with 50 foot heads. I have an idea that the 10T or 8900 will be the winner in terms of overall performance, but i think the JD might win on comfort. Who knows?!
BTW, Case/New Holland needs to step up, they are being run over in the combine market!
I would love that too!
Excellent review.
Uh, decisions, decisions regarding the trident...
Biggest pro: The friggin’ airhorn
Biggest con: No right hand cupholder!?!
😂😂🤷🏻♂️
My guess, having seen all your sprayer-related videos, would have been that you preferred the Apache, and not only due to the huge price gap between it and the other sprayers.
The Trident causing headaches when you run it, is a pretty significant con. I actually noticed it during the video too.
I’m sure you’ll make the right choice.
Stay safe, and keep up the good work with the videos, really enjoying them 👍
😂 Thanks! 🙂
I'm visiting lloydminster currently mike and they have and x9 with the 50ft header at Agland and frick its big
Trident has a 1600 gallon tank Cut the wall between the main and rinse tank, boom 1600. Get a strap on rinse tank just like the 4440.
That's very good idea.. But why stop there? Haha 😂 🤷♂️
Great video, so excited for combine season to begin!
I am pretty excited that jd x9 combine will come into your farm, to see the review
The John Deere you have to put on a cylinder stop on the suspension.
hopefully next year you can get a chance to run a fendt sprayer
There aren't bringing them to North America anytime soon..
Now are done with spraying!? oh good your wife's taking over that should be fun! I love hearing from Smart women.
Just the sprayer review videos, lots more spraying to go
Cheers for the review Mike, what about Miller? Are they in Canada much?
Hi Mike, I’ve been a subscriber now for about 3 months. Really love your channel! I’m from a s dairy farm in the Cotswolds (UK) and love Fendt especially the 1050. Very jealous of yours!
There’s something I’ve wanted to know now if you could tell me:
1. How big in acres is your farm?
2. What’s your single largest field?
Thanks Mike
Hey, awesome! Thanks for the support and interest in what I do 🙂.
40k and the largest field is around 5500ac
VERY COOL!!👍👍Thanks Mike!😃😁
ran a patriot 4440 with a Raven screen was easy and great to use then that was traded in for a newer 4440 but it came with the pro 700 and yes it sucks and just chip up the patriot you’ll never get stuck lol
Mike you have never really said WHY you don't like the tri fold boom on the cases very curious what you don't like about them is it they are floppy and swing back and fort or what?I see many cases spraying and the boom is angled forward so much they are in line with your tires.Mike when changing tires on the deere , you drop the air bags then there is a spacer tool that you slip on one of the shiny chrome rams by the air bags, then you lift a little with your jack and the and the spacer takes up the slack of the air bag and your off the ground quick.R4060 means is holds 4060 liters.
Yes.. And they have given trouble..
The weight of the Patriot is chassis only, with tank and boom weights around 21,000
Hope class takes their combine for you to give it a run, oh would be good to see gleaner show up too
The trident has the big hubs and only a 1400 gallon tank is because the sprayer can come off and you can put a dry box in its place
I know.. Hence the need for the larger tank
Don’t forget the trident can be equipped with a dry box and the equipment to swap it
Right!
That's a good point...👍
Mike, If you like the tires on the Trident, Can you get the bigger tires for the Deere? Might have to adjust the fenders...lol
Please try a Hagie.
Mike, tell us how you really feel about the Pro 700.. :)
I put LSW1100/45r46's on a few trident sprayers makes for an unreal ride and low air pressures. Wish I can send photos
On ole Johny you can turn off the Center section from the monitor in 2 screen touches
Love the videos , comparisons ESPECIALLY justvthe pros n cons im not bias obv i prefer green but i love a little bit of everything. Weve got red green blue . Im.sure you guys feel the same when it comes to equipment. Price , service and most importantly whichever machine fits and works best for what your trying to weather it be spraying combining or working ground. They all have their pros and cons and uhhh yea haha..love LOVE seeing new equipment and you showing us all ovet thr world your 2 cents and i like that. Prices overall are getting insane with equipment and even seed chemicals etc but thr price of these new machines like youve said before should come with a friggin personal mechanic considering the cost of these things. Anywho i womt waste anymore of your time (thsts even if you end up reading all of this so far haha) but i enjoy your videos and input/opinions. 🤙🤟👍👌🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Hi Mike, I actually started a RUclips channel, and I featured you in it. I must say, you have a very nice operation. I think you are the funniest channel on RUclips, and you deliver great content. You are one of my top inspirations for starting a channel. Thank you for being inspirational and delivering great content! Keep up the awesome work!
Edit: I also cannot wait for the X9!!!! But beware: they do have smaller grain tanks than your ideal 9 fendts😉
Love it I live on a biggish farm I have a test on one of them( the trident ) it is amazing
Comparison of Agrifac would be of interest. Large tank, higher road speed, quiet, wider boom large tyres plus some cons.
It's not all about boom size, our land and traveling speeds don't like much bigger than 130ft
@@mikemitchell2554 you might be surprised!!
Could you happen to do a post of previous combines you have had was curious, thanks what all crops have you had over the years
X9 updates??? Right on it u guys get those
Sure those sprayer are great, but can you really compare them to my SRX160 pulled by an 846 versatile? Never gotten stuck and a half tank of diesel can last the whole season lol.
If you want your John Deere to get full speed loaded unplug the tank sensor behind the cab and bridge the wires
Great work on all the reviews. Can you do a video on what you would take off all the demos to make your ideal frankinsparyer
Did you concider the dry box spreader that goes with the trident? When comparing to the jd and patriot
Love that old Massey to! Is it a brand available around you ? Would love to see Massey's demo !
They more or less ran Massey Ferguson combines last year as the AGCO Ideal combine is sold both under the Massey Ferguson brand and the Fendt brand they used the last year. They the same thing whether it says MF or Fendt on the sticker, even the same grey color now.
Fendt and AGCO are both owned by AGCO, so they save a lot of money by only developing one new combine and sell it under both brands.
Im really interested to see how the x9 preforms because arguably the case was the best for a long time but in the last few years they have had quite a bit of competition adn they really need to step up their game. So i wouldnt be suprised if case comes out with a whole new combine in the next few years.
The Caseih 9250 is a force to be reckoned and do farmers actually need anything bigger ? I think the new Claas is the biggest now anyway ,where does it end ?
@@interman7715 I completely agree the 9250 is a beast but with the x9 it may not be the king anymore and I dont think it will end lol
Interesting times indeed .
The Patriot running at 33mph loaded is probably why you are having trouble with the wheel motors. they are just overheating with the weight and extra speed compared with the trident.
Which 1 of the three would u pick first
They have a 1600 gallon tank on their 2020 model and you can also get it swapped out on the previous models as well.
Been trying to order a 2021 model and can't get 🤷♂️
What about the rogater and others in the comparison?
Will you demo the new fendt 1167 vario mt for seeding next year? :)
CLAAS Lexion 8900 vs Fendt Ideal 10T vs John Deere X9 1100 would be a true show of the giants
Not able to get a 8900 in North America
@@mikemitchell2554 oh that's too sad...
what does the patriate have in ground of the cab? why doesn't it have a cab like the European sprayer?
Check out the brand new Apache 1250xp!
you need to compare these sprayers with New Holland SP400F. It will be cool
Really late comment, you have to put a suspension lock on the bottom of your cylinder and dump the air, at least that’s how we do it on our r4038
Why don't you try any front boom sprayers. Miller sprayers are used allot in our area of course now they are rebranded new hollands
Run out of time.. It's actually alot work and really expensive to demo
What's your favorite sprayer so far all brands no bias just wondering
awesome!
Will a fendt ideal 10t be making its way to your farm this year to demo?
X9 vs the Ideal 💪💪
Yeah!!
cant wait to see the new X9...... You guys got any semi trucks on the farm ? i think you need to show us them as well !!!!
Is the 760 ready for harvest?
Have you ever heard of a Fendt Rogatar ?
Do you use a double tip nozzle 04 reds?
You can get the same tires on the Deere I’m sure
Oh yes, I am sure you can.. I was more talking about whether or not they should be offering those with large tank. 🤷♂️
Mike Mitchell I don’t understand why anyone would buy anything without getting the best possible tires for the load size... I feel there’s less chance for tire failures if you’re tires are overrated than just right or obviously to small
theres a wheel bolt missing on the r 4060 front passenger side
Good to know thank you 🙂
Maybe try A agrifac would love to soo one of those
Not too hard to tell that your enjoy what you do. Deere X Combine yes, looking fwd to it. Great sprayer analysis. Never done patreon before, but I'll be signing up shortly for yours.
Let me get this straight. The one that gives you a headache which is the slowest and has the smallest tank is the one you like the most?
Hey Mike if u get a chance to run the Deere you probably won't wanna run another case sprayer again, happened to me. used to run patriot sprayer, loved it till I ran a demo deere, I was sold instantly. Case is staying behind in technology, wayyyy behind
Haha I have demoed the 4045R two separate times in the past for around 70hrs total.. So I have run them, i just haven't ran the 4060
@@mikemitchell2554 one issue with them, not enough HP.
What happen to con number 3?
You should demo the Agrifac endurance ||
that trident needs abit of air in the tires haha
Question. How many of those Rogators are you planning to buy / lease?
We all know now that you favour case over John Deere after your tone of voice discussing the sprayers lol
Ha! 😂 Let's not forget that my 4440 blew a hydro and even tho it was under warranty still cost me $30k... It comes down to
Price
Power (I hate doggy sprayer)
Ride
And warranty
4:22 worst "case" senario😉😂
