Well Mike you took on a real mess. You've got a lot of work in front of you to bring that land back to proper production especially the nutrient balance and weeds that need to be controlled. Wish you all the best
And here I am wanting to downsize at the first opportunity. Just thankful your farming experience is better and the Almighty is blessing you and yours.
Hello Mike good luck for your new adventures question how are you going to manage 3 farm areas? You will have to appoint someone as your right-hand man to manage your business between the 3 farms, it's too much work, all managed by yourself.
That sure was a well framed shot with your semi in frame as you unload the pro-till. It amazes me that you have time for more land. Good luck. You rock! Edit- Happy Birthday Big Man!!!
Congratulations on the new ground. I bought a "new to me" tractor last month to add to my operation. A 4000 Ford made in roughly 1970. She starts right up and has 0.00 electronics! Only 1/10th the horsepower of your tractor though. :(
I always have a wee giggle at the hitch situation in North America/Canada it’s so inferior and time consuming compared to European ones. We don’t even need to leave the cab except to plus in hydros.
I am curious about your landlords in that area-are they mostly institutional investors, retired farmers, absentee family members from a formerly farming family, or another group? What are rental rates around there? (and land prices) Your rocks do look lonely out there, we generally put ours in piles so they don't get lonely, then eventually bury them. It sure looks a lot different than midwestern US corn and soybeans.
Probably knows someone on the area that tipped him off or the land was put up for a rent auction. There’s lots of ways. It’s not too hard in Saskatchewan because there’s more land than there is people to farm it
Staring the West-Farm!
Love this channel, you have no idea what your going to see next, good luck with the new land
Happy Birthday Chappell have a great day 🥳🎉🎂

Would definitely ask the land owner if you can remove the abandoned power poles.
Yes
The rich keep getting richer 😀
Those poles are in an easement for the power company, you would have to get permission from them unless they have given up their easement.
Happy Birthday Chappell ,
You have the coolest dad - farmer .
He does the best videos!!!
Congratulations on your new adventure! Love your videos. I am a retired grass seed farmer from Oregon, USA.
Much success on the new land !! Happy belated birthday Mr. Chappell
Great video Mike
Looks like there is a huge farm next to it
And here I am wanting to downsize at the first opportunity. Just thankful your farming experience is better and the Almighty is blessing you and yours.
Happy birthday Chappell
Thankyou! ❤️
Satellite imagery is just a couple clicks away for locating all the sloughs my friend
Google earth with the timeline is a great tool
With a Starlink on the roof of every tractor and combine, sure is.
Mike,
Remember the low cost high speed field cleanup operation used on the original north farm? So easy a caveman can do it?
Salut Mike magnifique vidéo et le casse 580 et dechomer est bien équipés et bien intéressante 😂😮😅😊
Perfect video 👍
Hey Mike the new Pro tills only have two grease points.
Hello Mike good luck for your new adventures question how are you going to manage 3 farm areas? You will have to appoint someone as your right-hand man to manage your business between the 3 farms, it's too much work, all managed by yourself.
How is it just him? I don't recall the family dying off
@@OOpSjmHis family is a separate entity from his operation.

Good luck. You rock!
Edit- Happy Birthday Big Man!!!
Secondly, this move so far West is a little perplexing. You will need another bin operation and yard here as well?
Thank Heaven for small miracles at least we are not dealing with “Ducks” land 😂😂😂
How many acres did u pick up Mike
how many acres is the new farm?
Love that CaseIH tractor! How many acres do you look after now?
Why do all new farms have to have sprayer ruts no matter where you are in the world 😂. Need to get yourself a plane Mike!
He's definitely not a new farmer and if you've been watching for a while they do have an air tractor for spraying
@ I said new farms as in the new farm he’s taken on I’ve been watching since he started 🤣

The best kind. No electronics to mess up
Careful... I think you'll bend those extensions.... protill is heavy!!
That was my worry 🫣
I always have a wee giggle at the hitch situation in North America/Canada it’s so inferior and time consuming compared to European ones. We don’t even need to leave the cab except to plus in hydros.
Will the tumbling weeds and weed patch from missed seeding patch affect what you seed because of narrower chemical options for some crops?
Hi Mike, do you have to vet the new landlord?
I am curious about your landlords in that area-are they mostly institutional investors, retired farmers, absentee family members from a formerly farming family, or another group? What are rental rates around there? (and land prices) Your rocks do look lonely out there, we generally put ours in piles so they don't get lonely, then eventually bury them. Mike, we want Fendt :(
Put a big strap around the rock and pull it. 😅
Hopefully you get to take a little time off today to celebrate Chapel’s Birthday ! 🎈🎉
Absolutely! We ll celebrate it on Sunday as I am up north working on this house... Need to take advantage of the last couple warm days.
So I have a couple questions wouldn’t it have been advantageous to fly the drone and get an appreciation from up above
Mike, how do you fine these acres, or do landowner approach farmers.
Mike, do you spray the Cosha, after you Protill it to destroy the seeds.
Probably knows someone on the area that tipped him off or the land was put up for a rent auction. There’s lots of ways. It’s not too hard in Saskatchewan because there’s more land than there is people to farm it
Your toys just get bigger and more expensive as you grow up.
