I've watched some promo videos of the AF11, but this is the first real field footage I have seen. And yeah, that thing is extremely impressive! 50' of 30 bushel wheat at 10 mph is insane!! That extra horsepower really makes a difference. And at 400 to 500 less engine rpm's. Man, they have the torque curve dialed in on that engine. And the grain tank and unloading capacity is just as crazy! And, it is a really sharp looking machine too. Step aside X9's! But one thing I didn't see you do was check your losses behind the combine.... Stay safe out there all you Welkers! Inn

The beginning of the video was an excellent introduction and you did great with the music and field scenery!!!!!!!! You are selling a lot of these no doubt!!!! It’s amazing to see how far equipment has come in the last 30 to 50 years. 100 hp tractors were big. 150 hp combines were big. Now 775 hp, 50 ft heads, wow. That would be so much fun to run for a day. Thanks for the videos. Have a safe harvest.
When we first started picking up on the go, the combine hardly had enough power to combine and unload at the same time. We would be down to a mile an hour when unloading. That was with an eight row head.
I really like the way you describe , explain, and discuss, the individual components of a combine in a way that anyone can understand. 99% of our citizens don’t have a clue how our food is produced. At first glance it appears to be an awesome machine. The true test of any machine no matter the brand is in a rice field after a hurricane goes through and blows it all down.
I checked out one of the newer Case units a few weeks ago, noted the huge number of hydraulic hard lines and control valves, lots of electrical, engines that are twice the horsepower of units a decade ago. Headers that must be neck cranking to monitor. At the cost of the current models , it still seems to be infeasible to own them, especially if I would have needed 5 or more to cover what I once farmed. Even back then I used custom cutters for 3/4 of the acres. Maintenance on my 3 kept us busy. One of the big issues was monitoring the moisture/ temperature of crop, as well as having enough storage and handling to cover the bushels per hour that would be put out.
Just a thought Nick, I believe you said the new combine you were operating was running about 4 acres per gallon while your family's combines were running 3.2 acres per gallon. That is still a very significant difference if this is anything close to how these different machines average out. That is a 25% improvement in fuel economy. Just sayin'. That's one heckuva machine.

And when you are up against a bad weather report, every high productive minute counts tremendously....end game = one less machine on the farm to get the harvest done, or ability to do more acres.
I think they introduced the eco road mode in the 50 series. Our 8250s have that. 25 mph at 1400 rpm. Not sure if I like it or not. It makes the hydro a bit twitchy if you're not smooth. If you move it too fast, the engine will jump up to full rpm but the computer will slow the hydro pump, but it's not perfect so you get quite a surge sometimes. We disabled eco mode on our machines because of this. I think it could be quite dangerous if the operator is a novice.

Years ago, when Gleaner first brought out their first rotary combines, I saw a combining demonstration in a field, comparing the Gleaner to a number of other brand combines, all new, "state of the art" for the time period. The Gleaner was running away from the rest of them, cutting around ten miles per hour. Over the next year or two though, I heard most Gleaner owners were slowing down their cutting speed because the combines were suffering structural damage, they couldn't stand up to the pounding of traveling 10 mph all day long. I wonder how the AF11 combine will stand up to the high ground speeds cutting.
I’m struggling with your maths regarding corn and wheat. You quoted wheat takes more power to move up through the machine/augers. That machine is not running anywhere near its capacity you see that looking at the amount that’s coming into the grain tank. Bring it over to Europe where we are getting 4/5 tonnes per acre 6/7 in some places now that would make the combine run at full capacity.
That's more realistic... Montana at 10 MPH...??? Ya hit a rut and it breaks... Not good.. Should not be combining at speeds above 6 to 7 MPH... The new (most Wheat) drills seed at under 5 or 6 MPH. It does not have the built in rut suspension that 15 MPH sprayers have...
Grew up operating a super 92 massey with a 36 inch cylinder....A toy . I believe the hopper was 65 bushels ...This combine probably holds more in the auger 🤔... nice machine
My 9250 idles back when in road mode much like the af11. It's nice because when you come to a stop, it idles down for you even though the lever is set to.max RPM

@@Highrockoutdoors47 they do look futuristic. Im into the CR11 and the new CR10. I love what NH have done with the styling but the case AF series look awesome aswell but the NH is for the uk america and Europe and other countrys but the case AF 11 10 and 9 combines are for the USA only witch is a shame but hay ho
@@jezcolborne6329 yeah we need both of them they did have one at a farm show here in the us I think
It's impressive how fast that AF11 can harvest
Fuel burn is a minor detail.
Capacity and reliability are the bigest criteria in buying a combine
My dad was born in 1926. He always talked about the first combine was 6ft straight through.
The king always be in the fields
My 9250 idles back when in road mode much like the af11. It's nice because when you come to a stop, it idles down for you even though the lever is set to.max RPM
Very impressive machine. Very. Thanks for sharing this with us 😊
Just came back from the outdoor farm show in Ontario, they had the new Holland cr11 (what the af11 is just painted red) as well as af9 and Jdx9 as well as all the other big makes but man do they make my 9500 look tiny
Good thing that Nick always finds good weed. 🌿😁🤘
Yes sir, Case IH has come a long way since the series 127,141 and 181 McCormick IHs
That AF11 is a beast and a marvel
HEADER TRAILORS GUYS 😂😂! Thanks so much!!!
Wow what a hunk of a big combined!
Watching this harvester in action is just epic! Anyone who thinks farming isn't impressive, watch this video! Don’t agree? Come argue with me
