Its sad. The cheating thing is way too common. The worst is when you grow up to be an adult and find out what your father has been doing especially when he's proclaiming Christianity. Its these double standards that are turning children away from the lord when they grow. To the women enduring such, staying for your children you may think youre doing them a favour but your heaping up trauma that can affect their view on God, men and marriage. Or what of the spiritual effects and how these terrible things open up the door to the enemy in a home because the priest/gatekeeper of the house is living in compromise. Often its preached that the task is for the woman to pray her husband out of it and then decades go by with no repentance. I'm all for 2nd chance if the person wants to accept it but genuine repentance is key.

To the wife whose husband left after she had a baby via CS, Yes, I agree that our God is a God of second chances but you need to ask him questions girrrrllllll. Such as, why did he leave? Was it because of her or the baby? I will also advise that you two get some Christian counseling before he moves back in, if not, he will think he can just move in and out of y’all’s lives any day any how. Shine ya eye. 👁️

Alot of trauma we go through comes from our brokeness in cheating marriages and we come and now marry wrong because we are either used to abuse or idolising changing the narrative.

Aunty Tolu, I made some mistakes and fell on hard times and was living with my boyfriend’s family. His mom made my life a living hell. She refused me from using the dishwasher, she always complained when I was in the kitchen, I spent too long cleaning the bathroom and most of all she started telling her son lies about me…. My mom passed away and I genuinely felt she could be a mother figure for me but honestly that was a very hurtful experience. I am no longer with the guy and I honestly think he was a good person.

The truth is some families can be horrible but this generation of wives needs to work on their mindset and character. Many come with a set hand to fight when everyone is welcoming and they are screaming I don't want,I'm only married to ur son or brother so I can't deal with the family ,so keep off. Let's have to receptive mindset except you're dealing with a troublesome family.

Anyone who's families are the problem needs to address it from get go and set firm boundaries. I'm not marrying anyone who can't set boundaries with their families.

Set your rules, boundaries
Seek therapy before even considering him coming back and think of the root cause (don’t blame it on devil oo. The bible says we are tempted by our own lust, so let him be accountable)
What life and marriage do you want for yourself. His he willing to agree.
For the six month, where was he, why did he leave, why did he decide to come back, who is he accountable to? Where family members involved
What did they say?
Who would stand as a guarantor for him
Let him know that if he tries it again he is gone for good, if you are willing

I'm d one you're talking about ma, let me share my story too when we want to get married our initial plan is to travel out so we didn't have plan for any accomodations because we see it as a waste of money so we gave our agent all we have then proceed for d small wedding then after wedding we know in 2 month we'll be traveling but things turn around that we can't find d agent again we left with our money so we don't have choice than to face our problem, in that depression stage my husband was searching for job because to put things in place after some weeks I found out that am pregnant because I married as a virgin @ 27 years we don't know anything no experience we are so sad because we didn't plan for it but we don't have choice we started managing our lives so I went to my mother-in-law place to stay while my husband is in Lagos meanwhile d house she was staying I was d one that rented it for her when I came bk from Lebanon then and I saw d situation of things
I don't have a choice than to help though my husband now is just a friend to me then infact I don't know we'll get married because I was in a relationship and he's too so his sister was my school mother then I went to greet her when I came bk to Nigeria then after some times d lord told us we are meant for each other I did everything possible for this family but because of our present situation now my life was so miserable because of wat they're doing to me both my school mother and mother-in-law and sister-in-law when I gave birth a lot happened and am still with them because hobby haven't gather money to rent any apartment in Lagos, I'm tired of living in this world over depression right now as if I haven't count money or work before

Honestly, hearing things like this scare me about marriage but everyday I pray that mine would be peaceful and joyful as the Lord intended.
Also, there is this thing that really annoys me about people, messing up and coming to beg?? It is so annoying and it’s honestly hard to forgive. I read some stories and I wanted to run mad and just harden my heart, but Hod reminded me of the numerous times we hurt him intentionally and He still welcomes us into His arms. We are to enmilate that but it’s hard, ngl😩 People will just be trying your patience. But as Solutions said, The God of Second Chance. May we also have the strength and wisdom we need to tackle all that comes out way. Amen.

Pray that God heals her heart because it is a deep pain that might not go away soon and trust God to help her navigate this process. Also, she should ensure he is accountable to someone, a mentor, spiritual head, someone who he listens to.❤

Tulolupe What is your advice about infidelity of the wife. Even if she did it once and regret it.Apparently the husband use to cheat since the begining of their relationship and after more than 10years together and 2 children she losted control of her mind and just looking for attention outside but she went on a bad game and finally cheat once. She said she was depressed and sad but she love her husband. What can you said about that.
And why are we talking about the one who cheated once instead of the one that has been cheating from the beginning of the marriage?
