- Join us for a Quilters’ Save Our Stories (QSOS) interview with Karen Nyberg, artist and astronaut, conducted by Chawne Kimber, artist and mathematician on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, presented by the Quilt Alliance as part of the Textile Talks series.
Textile Talks features weekly presentations and panel discussions from the International Quilt Museum, the Modern Quilt Guild, Quilt Alliance, San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles, Studio Art Quilt Associates and Surface Design Association. The programs are held online at 2 p.m. Eastern (11 a.m. Pacific) each Wednesday.

I've always been a fan of NASA and our space program since being a child in the 70s. Then I added in my son who earned an internship as an Engineer on a team of just 10 students at Langley Research Center. We were thrilled beyond words to get to visit him there. Now he lives & works in Rocket City Alabama. I'm going to be looking for Karen's fabrics for a quilt for him featuring many BOM patterns from the Huntsville area quilt shops. Very fascinating program! Thank you!
