Another good video with any repairs landing net handle's or pole I would drill the split or crack and use small amounts of super glue to bind the fibres
Nice job John, i have the telescopic version of the same handle and wondered what to do when it wears down to the extent that it pulls through, just like my othe net handle but different brand. Keep the vid's coming.
Could try sleeving the internal section should build it up so it won't slip through 🙂👍.Thanks for watching Ron. I might get a telescopic one for roving on the river. More practical.
@@AverageAngler Yes i applied good ol' electricians tape and it seems to work, but you have to carry spares on most bits of tackle nowadays, its why we carry too much gear. Good to watch your vid's mate.
Thanks for this, used it to repair a cracked Preston Monster landing net handle and it seems to have done the trick. Any idea whether this would work on a cracked pole top section? I've got one that has a split about 2", it's still pretty strong but now I'm contemplating giving this cheap repair a go. What do you reckon?
Not right for the pole check this video out, will cost about £30, you don't need the jig for a cracked section. ruclips.net/video/Xh1m0_j1HhU/видео.html
Good idea for cheap repair. Took me back 30+ years when I used to whip eyes onto rods!
I thought it was the cheapest way to repair it with a strong result. Not tested it yet 🤞🤞.
i googled whipping my crack and this came up, not what i was hoping for but still a nice video
🤣🤣🤣😂make sure you delete your browsing history👍

I have a pole section that pushes in farther than the rest is there any thing you can do to build the female end up tia?
It's difficult to do this cheaply. Could try some shrink tubing, that will be an even build up and cheap?
Ok think i might just buy a new section thanks anyway
