    A review and long term test of a couple of cheap but functional landing net handles for those of us on a tight budget.

    Bill yet again helping the people out and as always I love the videos mate , and you couldn't be more right as a angler who has used budget ones and have been fortunate enough to have been sponsored etc and have the more expensive ones ( and believe me I know how blessed a situation that is ) . I couldn't agree more that you do not need a top one . You sir are for me a breath of fresh air 👌 . And as long as you make these videos i will continue to watch. I have been coaching some kids and believe or not I have tod then to watch your vids..... I regard you that much. I know a lot of sponsored anglers who don't give back who should. Thankyou mate, Andy. 😎

      Andrew w Hi Andrew well thanks for that nice comment. I notice that you don’t see top sponsored anglers using the cheaper items from the company. I for instance would love to see Alan Scotthorne using using the Red Range gear from the range as I think that if anglers see the top guys using ‘budget’ gear sales of them would increase greatly. Most ‘ordinary’ anglers don’t buy flagship poles, but they do buy lower range poles , rods n reels etc. It’s these items that generate the most income after all. Fox Warrior carp rods for example outsell all their high end rods and they are comparatively cheap but are good well designed rods. Good luck with the coaching I have DBS clearance to teach kids and they are hard work but rewarding and seeing the pleasure on their faces when they catch a good fish repays the hard work. I’m due to take a 10 year old on Monday and I think it will be a canal and whip job. Tight Lines

    Hi Bill,
    Really enjoy your Tackle review videos, really helpful. I have several NGT products. Their 8ft Carp Stalker Rod is excellent, really strong. Their Tackle Boxes are brilliant too. Value for money Company.

      Stevie D Hi Stevie, glad you liked the video. I have a pair of the 8ft stalkers which are brilliant little rods. I showed them in my pike tackle video and I use them for close range carping on the canal and I only paid£20 for the pair. Tight Lines

    Hi Bill,Ron from Indiana.I like your telacopic pole for your fish net.I use a 6 foot aluminum net when fishing from boat or from shore if the fish is toothy or to heavy to lift out of water without breaking the line.I am going to Bass Pro Shops.To see they have the short one.It looks real handy.GOOD FISHING.

    I ve got a 3m middy works (i think its called that) landing net handle that Ive had for about 10 years and I have vertically lifted 30lb plus carp with it from high concrete banks of the lower lea . Not the lightest (but not that heavy either) but tough as old boots and i think it cost me about 20 quid out of my local tackle shop .

    Hi Bill nice video. When i got back into fishing last November, i went out and bought a 3m telescopic landing net pole , its a Dinsmores Powerlite have you used that before? well i found it bends too much and just feels like it might break or crack when landing a fish. When i first used it, i landed fish with it but i felt i had to do so with a lot of care, and i didnt feel comfortable landing a fish with it with my hand right back at the butt scooping the fish at its full 3 meters. If you have used this landing net pole before or know someone who has, can you or they back it up in that it wont crack or break? when using it i was frightened it would break in half, losing my landing net!
    Since after that first time i used it, i went and bought a two piece aluminium 2.2m landing net pole which is sturdy and doesnt bend at all, but it would be better to use my longer landing net pole of 3m as sometimes when a fish appears to be ready for the net, they can sometimes go off again but with a longer landing net pole you can net them before that happens.

      cns180784 Hi well I have not come across the handle you mention. All net handles will bend if you just lift a big fish out! The technique is to net the fish then slide the handle back until you can grasp the net frame if it’s a big fish or if it’s not to large grasp the handle near the net. If you are not sure look at my method feeder on Whiteacres video and you will see what I mean. I have this evening just landed a very big carp on the pole from the canal, about 18lbs on that 3mtr handle with no problem. Unfortunately there was a problem with the video so I can’t upload it so will have do do it again another evening when I get the chance but I don’t know if I will get a big fish like that next time!!! Wow would have been epic to have seen you land that! yea how you described is how i used that landing net, think i'll give it a go next time. I'll be fishing somewhere i havent fished yet when i'm back on the bank on Tuesday. Last night a big fish broke me, think it was a Barbel...it almost broke my quiver tip when it took the bait, the tip just went straight round with a huge bend! never had anything like it.

    Could you do a session with your tri cast pole maybe on the canal ?

    • @easyfishing1936
      @easyfishing1936  6 лет назад

      karen saunders Hi Karen well I’ve just got back from the canal after shooting a carp on the pole video. I used my Tricast pole and caught a bream of about 3lb and then a carp pushing the twenty pound mark with red hydro and 8lb line . Then disaster struck after I netted and returned it. A dad and his kids were watching and turned the camera off just before I netted it. Gutted as it was a scale perfect big fish. I’m not sure if I should upload the imcomplete video but at the next opportunity I will try again but don’t suppose I will get a fish like that again. Tight Lines
