As I'm experience a lot of problems with my wrist and shoulder I will certainly going to try out this landing net handle ! I'm sure it wil make a difference, thanks again for another great tip. Happy holidays from Belgium Jon !
I've always used a long handle, with the odd comment when fishing on commercial waters, probably down to my love of river fishing. Valid points made with your usual professional style, hopefully, it will shut up some of those stumpy 2.5m commercial anglers lol. Merry Christmas Jon and I hope the young `un has a great one...cheers.
Great informative video.
All the best to you and your family at xmas , thanks for entertaining us . Mmm xmas biscuits .
I’m holding out for the 16 metre version
I have a problem snapping them. I fish a lot of natural waters, where I often have vegetation between me and the water. I have to lift fish in the net, using the handle, and carbon fibre handles, at least the ones in my price range, don't seem to be able to cope with supporting the weight of bigger fish. I use an aluminium handle for these situations, but aluminium handles bend, and I've struggled to find handles long and strong enough to cope with high, overgrown natural banks. Is it worth spending the extra money on a, top of the range, "extra strong" carbon handle, or will my tackle abuse just mean me trashing a more expensive bit of kit?
Interesting. Worth putting a few ounces of lead in the base for the counterbalance effect maybe?
One duly ordered sir !
:-)
Hi Jon, Jamie Harrison recommended the aquos 4m Carp handle as I do seem to catch a lot of bigger carp 8lbs + including quite a few barnies is this strong enough as I can't seem to get hold of the aquos handle and I heard Mick Bull broke one of these X class handles, your help and advice would be gratefully appreciated 👍👍👍👍
Absolutely no problems at all with my Aquos 4m or Horizon 4m with double figure fish with both. Anyone can break a handle if they're unlucky but this is the first I've heard of and I would have expected Mick to be using his own sponsors one too, not a rival company!
@@JonArthur hi John I've managed to get hold of one from total fishing .com paid for and delivered. In 3 days I don't know what's going on with tackleuk as they kept promising me since July, ps have you got any shirts yet 😁😁
Jon could I ask if the upright that your up and over is attached to is bought or have you cut something down.
I use XR36 Leg Extensions: www.fishmatrix.co.uk/home/product/xr36-leg-extensions?c=seatbox-accessories
What did you have for breakfast?
3.5 Weetabix. My 18-month daughter had the remaining half.
@@JonArthur wow that sounds very nutritional
Yep. Skimmed milk for me. Full fat for the babba. Slightly warmed. I used a nice porcelain bowl and she's got a colourful set of breakfast bowls. I often vary the colour each day. Oh, her spoons are different colours too.
@@JonArthur do you match the spoons with the bowls?
I try not to. Breakfast would be so dull.
Don't go using it as a weed cutter Jon... it will pull apart
In my experience all landing net handles will eventually pull apart if you use them as weed cutters as they're not designed for it. If in doubt, I always tape a weed cutting handle's joints up first. All the best.
