Being in a third world country where having a decent gaming PC is expensive and internet services are unreliable made me dislike live service games entirely. Games like those will keep changing, adding stuff and removing stuff until the game you used to love is not the same anymore. In addition to that, any live service game will eventually shut down, meaning that all your progress and time will be just gone when that company can't maintain the game anymore, or if all the players moved to a different game.
