That quiet beach with a bintang towards the end looks so good from where I'm sitting now (in bed with flu in wintry England) Shame you didn't take the GoPro, Gabriel diving into the water is like a staple of the channel 😆
6:45 To answer your question, that's definitely a Hindu temple. There are women visiting the temple, and there is music playing. I had started to enjoy the music there, wish you had more of that playing.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Ganesha celebration, cool. Now the music makes sense. It was similar to the percussion like music that's played in the Indian states of Maharashtra during Ganesh Chaturthi. Check out Dhol Tasha, that music is intense and celebratory.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos In my first response, I was talking about how you can know if it's a temple or mosque, without needing to ask someone. Since you are already aware of some subtleties, wanted to add a few more.
Wow. I think that was the best beach at 20:38 of the entire trip so far. Look much better than Kuta beach. At least it looked clean enough for a swim. I am surprised there are not many tourists there.
according to forbes 2022 indonesia is the most beautyfull country in the world with so many stunning beautyfull view every 100km including underwater biodiversity and indonesia is so big archipelago with more than 17.000 island
Nice, thanks Gabriel, I used to travel solo a lot but now its hard for me, due to some health issues, now I can compromise with watching your travel videos ...keep travelling
Hi Gabriel, those beaches are beautiful. You captured the watercolor an incredibly deep blue and an aqua color just spectacular, and the amazing man-made stairway down to the beach something that everyone can enjoy. This is something you should see on those Greek islands a man-made stairwell down to those beautiful beaches where you just can't go on foot.
I definitely recommend it, there's so much to see in Indo. I've only scratched the surface, really want to see more of the country. But it's the rainy season now and I was over the rain, so decided to head for sunnier places.
It's one of their best, such a meditative, moody vibe. I think I had it with me on my trip to Europe in 1990. I had a walkman and maybe a dozen cassettes. I definitely had Dark Side of the Moon and Abbey Road.

Hi Gabriel, Thanks for the informative video! Thinking of escaping the main Bali island. How was your internet service out there? And which service you use? Thanks!
I use T-Mobile for my phone service, it works almost everywhere. The internet provided at my hotel on the island was pretty fast, I showed the speed in my other video: ruclips.net/video/E7Dol6kad8A/видео.html
many Indonesian beaches are cleaner and natural than Bali, those beaches are not yet famous compared to Bali like raja Ampat, Sumba island, Lombok, etc
They didn't ask for anything, not even a license. But if you get pulled over by police you'll definitely want a license as well as an international driving permit. And you might need to have a motorcycle license, not sure about that in Indonesia.
Nusa Penida is a part of Bali...it is HINDU...that first temple you showed Dalem Ped is one of the most sacred in Nusa and Bali...look up the history RATU GEDE DALEM PED...You should have seen how beautiful Nusa was 33 years ago when l first went there and Bali 44 years ago...all before it was wrecked by tourism and pollution
Sadly the plans changed due to the rainy weather forecast across northern Australia. Instead I flew to Malaysia a few days ago: instagram.com/p/CmoRuWJL1LE/
It's the rainy season in the north so the forecast was all rain every day. Gets in the way of adventuring and filming. I already had to deal with it in Indonesia. You don't see it much because I stop filming when it's raining. The south of Australia is much better weather, but that would mean buying another flight and getting further away from Asia, which I was planning to come back to. It makes more sense to just stick with Asia for now and then maybe go to Australia later on this trip at some point. I've also heard that Melbourne is a nice city. Cheers. 🍺
@@GabrielTravelerVideos What about Melbourne for a couple of days and then catching the ferry or plane from Melbourne to Tasmania, Tasmania has some of the best natural scenery in AUstralia. Also if you go to Melbourne go to the top of the Eureka sky tower it has a great view over the entire city and if you go to Tasmania the top of Mt Wellington in Hobart city has a spectacular view over the city and coast also go to Wineglass bay on the Freycinet natonal park they say wineglass bay is one of the best beaches in the world, ALso perhaps the Port Arthur former convict colony for history , also see great unique wildlife such as the TaSmainan devil , you can check out these places online to see if you want to visit them. Tasmania actually has the cleanest air in the world because its close to Antartica and most of the state is untouched national parks and forrests
I spoke with someone later who said that it was a celebration of the Hindu god Ganesha, which happens every fifteen days. I didn't get that conversation on video.
Human rights law- Jakarta) - The Indonesian parliament passed a new criminal code on December 6, 2022, containing provisions that seriously violate international human rights law and standards, Human Rights Watch said today. Articles in the new code violate the rights of women, religious minorities, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people, and undermine rights to freedom of speech and association. Replacing Indonesia’s criminal code, which dates back to colonial Dutch rule, has been under consideration for decades. In September 2019, President Joko Widodo decided to delay parliamentary passage of a previous version of the draft criminal code after massive street protests. He subsequently ordered his cabinet to conduct “socialization” of the bill, ostensibly to increase public participation. The Covid-19 pandemic delayed work on the measure, which the parliamentary commission on law and human rights finalized on November 30. The House of Representatives’ plenary session passed the bill, which contains 624 articles, on December 6. “Indonesia’s new criminal code contains oppressive and vague provisions that open the door to invasions of privacy and selective enforcement that will enable the police to extort bribes, lawmakers to harass political opponents, and officials to jail ordinary bloggers,” said Andreas Harsono, senior Indonesia researcher at Human Rights Watch. “In one fell swoop, Indonesia’s human rights situation has taken a drastic turn for the worse, with potentially millions of people in Indonesia subject to criminal prosecution under this deeply flawed law.”
