If you are also REALLY into planes and want to get fantastic footage/ sound I suggest getting a microphone for your camera. Also good flight trackers other than Flightradar24 are : ADSB Exchange, plane finder, RadarBox and flight aware. I also do bring hand sanitiser with me to! And I love the idea of bringing ear plugs, I definitely might need to bring them.

I could care less about video and photos. My goal is to capture the audio of aircraft flying around me. So as an Aircraft Spotter and or Plane Spotter, my gear consists of a recording device which is usually my iphone, a means of knowing what flew over which is usually the FlightAware app on my phone and of corse I need to hear the communications from the aircraft so I have a real nice transceiver I use from Rexon which is their RHP530.
I have audio examples on my RUclips page and I will have more in the not so distant future Lord willing.
