God. This woman inspired me to go to Juilliard. And while i was attending i got her autograph when she played with New York Philharmonic! Forever my hero
I had the opportunity to play with one of the clarinetists in this recording! What fabulous musicians all around.
Wow. Janine bringing the FIRE to my favorite concerto. Amazing performance.
I am happy the sound in the video is really good. I was in the audience, amazing performance
Ya herdya coughing 😢❤
Wauw you are lucky, and Janine Jansen is such a good violin player, Proud that she is Dutch, like me
@@jan-pietervanwaasbergen9870 Hou toch es op met dat Dutch proud gezeik; SHE is playing niet jij Verwaandbergen
Wow❤ you were. Janine doesn't come to the United States I guess I would love to hear her live someday I hope before I die
I love how it obvious she is not playing for the microphones but for the audience in the hall. I have been to concerts where the soloist plays for the people "at home" and its no fun.
As someone at home right now I vastly prefer listening to someone playing for the live experience and not playing it safe for posterity.
Just wow, not holding back and an amazing sound! A monumental performance.
The second mouvement is something special
Schitterend gespeeld, we zijn zeer trots op jou, Janine!
Amazing!👍👍👍👍
Such a mind-blowing performance from Janine! Bravoooo! 👏👏👏👏
thank you so much for uploading!
I was so lucky to be there :)
Fantastic 👏 Still anxiously awaiting for you to record this!!❤️
I'm a lover of music. I have a huge archive and everything, but I never was a violin kind of guy.
This lady turned me to say the least. Thank you Janine ;o)
😇
Grandísima interpretación, técnica, musicalidad, expresividad...
The way she does little jumb trying to get the sound even more deep
This is much better than her recording for Decca with the Ken Doll Klaus makes you wonder why they didn’t use Sakari to accompany her?
Sensational performance! Sooo good!
Это фейерверк, непрвзойденное исполнение, мастерство, аглавноесочетаниестрастисфинляндскойприродой.
Touch my heart….☺️
Intensa e meravigliosa
AMAZING!
Amazing!
Finally here is her Sibelius 😍 👏👏👏
Like an angel, which I think she is.
Bravo!
De longe a melhor interpretação que já ouvi
Impresionante está mujer 🎉
It's good to have great composers from each type of climate on earth. I guess finnish climate is rather icy, cold and dark.
Among the very best performances. Superb technique and expression.
Sublime.
The best.
What amaze me is that she not reading the sheets music and she is performing so remarkable. Blessing.
that’s pretty standard for any soloist
bruh ur not meant to read the sheet music during concerto
Diva 💗
Belíssimo! Dos melhores que já ouvi!
I'm not usually a fan of Jansen's solo work, but she really plays the shit out of this concerto. Her preference for percussive bow strokes often works against her, but here they are just what Sibelius ordered, and she avoids wolfing the high notes on the G string. Even at the slightly slower-than-usual tempos she's chosen, she keeps the legato phrasing intact, adding to the music's most passionate moments.
Note to film editor: When a violinist is playing a concerto, we want to watch the violinist play the concerto, not the clarinetist play two-bar countermelodies no matter how good-looking said clarinetist is, especially when the solo violinist is playing a notoriously difficult 8-bar passage of false harmonics during which she really kicks ass.
lol I love your note to editor 🤣🤣
@@Aliseelike You are "not usually a fan of Jansen's solo work?" Such arrogance. She is a brilliant soloist in every way.
👍👏🤣
Arrecha Janine. I Love you ❤️
Nearest I can find for this word that is printable & makes sense is "a heightened state of emotion" meaning either sexually aroused or furious. Any better offers? 🤔 Janine is undoubtedly extremely attractive & dresses well in a way that suits her. That she plays the violin beautifully is however her number one attraction. Janine is very, very good.
That violist be like 👀

gorgeous

Thank you so much for uploading this! Could you tell me exactly which date this was recorded on? Janine Jansen did three concerts in Berlin last June :)
Also wanted to say, I feel like the passage from 21:54 to 22:33 is incredible. I was at this concert (on the 18th of June, that's why I'd like to know if this was recorded on the 18th or on another date), and this passage brought me to tears. Since the concert and until you uploaded this, I have been listening to other recordings of Sibelius paying particular attention to this part, and none of them had the same phrasing and emotions in this passage. This entire concert is amazing, but the way she plays this part is just incredible.
Guardarti suonare la fantasia e il sogno volano assieme.

Fantastic! Did Sibeliius composed more heavy music? Thank you Janine! 🇫🇮❤️😀
4th movement of sibelius symphony 2 is quite heavy but very nice!
@@jackycalI love that piece❤
Sibelius wrote 7 symphony and several piano pieces.
6:09 the violinists face lmao

Matur suksma
Such an astonishing perfomance, she's playing in London tonight and I can't wait to be there and listen to this incredible masterpiece from one of the most talented violists in the world! Enjoy
The trumpets aren’t in the bpo, they are part of the Karajan academy and typically sub in for works like this

She was in rotterdam, I had tickets but was sick🥹😭😭😭😭
Her interpretation is insane i mean hilary hahn is top 3 current day violinst imo so hearing a better version than hers is so mind blowing. But then again she is janine jansen 🤷♂️
Hilary is a perfectionist but leaves me cold whereas Janine, well.
The opening of the 3rd movement was bloody awful - to mention her name along with Hahn or Fischer would be a travesty. It sounded like she was doing an impression of Ivry Gitlis.......
🎉❤yes!!
@@nickhickson8738exactly ❤🎉🎵🎵🎵💚💜
She touches my heart like nobody else
ANdreaaassss
17:12 - her look scared the conductor as well.

So funny! He looks really like Foucault. I
What is this stoned rabbit hole I've taken down?
Personally I felt some of the passages in the 3rd movement were sloppy... But overall intense and passionate interpretation!
ouwehoer
Shut up. Nobody cares about what you think.

A bit less Janine and a bit more Jean would have been nice.....
ach weer zo'n slipped dics quasi connoisseur
Did she make many changes to the original score? This is quite a bad interpretation, unnatural and sloppy.
BRAVA!
