    Oh, and other minor ways to decrease intrusive / negative thought patterns are:
    - Sleep well = A lack of sleep makes it harder to think clearly, + Tired people tend to be more irritable or on edge in general.
    - Progressive muscle relaxation = The idea is that by tightening and relaxing your body, piece by piece, it calms the nervous system and brings on mental relaxation, too.
    - Deep breathing, yoga and meditation = Stress is a major culprit for intrusive thoughts. So calming activities can help center you and keep your mind from racing.

    Intrusive thoughts tend to go away once you refuse to make sense of the words they're spouting. When you give them meaning, they suddenly seem like a real problem.
