Thanks for the video! : ) Between MINILAB 3 and Akai Professional - MPK Mini Plus ... What you you choose?
You forgot to mention, the build quality and how they have made them more eco friendly. They are the first eco friendly controller made of recyclable materials.
correct! Thanks for mentioning that :)
@@MannysMusic_Online No problem. 🙂
Can I plug it straight into a guitar amp?
No, this is a controller for software, it doesn't make any noise on its own
I never got my Mk2 to work properly with AnalogLabs, Mk3 works fine but the potis and sliders are of much cheaper quality than those from the Mk2.
had the mk2 now i regret buying this the difference really minimal
For an Ableton user, would you recomend this controller over Launchkey? Please advise.
It's a game of figuring out what's right for you, both integrate with Ableton beautifully, but the Novation has more pads so is a bit more flexible with it's clip launching functions and also has rhythm options on the arpeggiator that are super fun. But the Arturia has a screen and arguably better software and connectivity, so is probably a more flexible unit overall.
@@MannysMusic_Online Great! thanks!
Question… if i turn the master bass of a preset completely down to -10 dB does that cut out all of the low frequencies or are they just not hearable anymore ? Sorry I’m a newb and would appreciate some help on this many thanks 🙏
It cuts it from the signal, if you recorded the audio then it would have the bass cut out.
However if you simply record the MIDI information, then you'll still be able to tweak the sound to your liking after the fact, whether that's re-introducing some low end, or changing to a completely different sound. Hope that helps!
@@MannysMusic_Online thanks for the reply.. i was just wondering if all the low frequencies are cut off if i turn the master bass all the way down but someone told me you just make it -10 dB quieter but the frequencies are still there … anyway thanks for the help 👍
@@Beats_and_Shades sorry yes that's correct, those frequencies are still there but 10db quieter, so much less audible. 10db is a fair bit, but not filtering them out completely.
To completely filter out any bass frequencies you'd need to cut them further, for example the 'low cut' option on Ableton's EQ8 Equalizer cuts bass frequencies by 48db, which would make them completely inaudible.
