- Stellaris is my favourite game, and there are many tips and tricks in it that seem second nature to more experienced players that I always see folks excited to learn about. I've compiled my five favourite timesaving tips into this video.
Yes. I know. I used a science vessel in the video, but said construction ship. I said it. I rolled with it. Choices were made at 6am.
Yeah just letting you know you said construction ship but used a science ship. (I’m from the future btw)
Even after 450 hours I didn´t know about Ctrl+Shift first priorization. Thanks man!
Happy to help.
This was a game changer for me. At the start I was creating new science ships to go and complete research whilst the other ship continued surveying. Just because I couldn't be bothered to reroute and select all the systems to survey again and again lol. I also wasted a lot of resources in having science ships idling as I didn't want to survey too far ahead, you can actually use them to assist research on planets when they aren't surveying
Already appreciating the video: Now I know how to move my fleets without worrying they'll shortcut through Leviathan territory.
Remembering to do it is the real trick. XD
You can have 10 hotkeys, 1-9 and 0.
There are also hotkeys for the 4 planet view tabs, on Z, X, C and V.
Thanks for watching.
Dang. Of course, I completely forgot zero.
I feel I let it down, like it can't count on me anymore.
Insert Order? I did not know about that one and it is something I really wanted! A thousand hours into the game and that's a feature I didn't know... Thanks Mord!
Not a problem. It is a huge time saver.
I didn't knew the one of the armies, I might start to use it >:3
It is really helpful. Particularly in bigger wars with multiple fronts
There was a time when "aggressive" on armies reset after an invasion, making it less practical to use. Now that that's solved, it's incredibly useful.
@@rosuav ah yes... I remember those dark days.
You have no idea how many times I've queued up systems to survey only for a special project to come up lmao thanks a lot dude
This video was so useful that I even fell pressure to comment that it was great!
I thank you for the comment!
After 664.8 hours I'm still learning things :(
Had no idea about the armies, I just assumed it was the same thing as the other types, and why in the world would you want your armies engaging enemy space ships.
And the CTRL + SHIFT.
And the hotkeys.
I feel the same way. Even after 4k hours, I'm still learning new things about the game. I like it. XD
Holy Moly that Video is underrated. I played 400 h++ and 90% of this Tricks i didnt know.
I appreciate the kind words. I have more videos planned. But my house is in a state of chaos right now. So hopefully when things calm down.
Thank you for the tips! I subbed and liked… not toying with your feelings.
Instead of right clicking each system to survey it, you can click the survey icon down in the bottom left (out of the six icons, the survey one is in the top left) and then shift click every system. You can also do the same for assisting research, just click the planet icon in a system.
Annoyingly enough the same doesn't work for anomalies.
This requires immediate investigation. XD thank you for the hint.
A bit late reply but you can also assist research and clicking on a planet in the outliner.
Click assist research then click on planet in outliner and done
4,000+ hours and it only just occurred to me I can assign numline hotkeys to megastructures (which I also have a hard time keeping track of while they're being built) and things I can't actually command (leviathans). Thanks for the refresher!
Imagine having 2k hours into the game and knowing only 1 tip
Such a good vid
i love this man's sarkasm
Thank goodness someone does. I may need to frame this and show it to my wife.
Thank you.
Good tips thanks! 👍
I'll take this as a top tier endorsement from the fantastic AYD.
Do you do Stellaris console ver too?
While I do have the console edition, sadly I just don't have the time or setup to do videos for it. That said, much of the information is transferable.
Are you actually an old man?
Hahah, That will depend on your definition of Old, I suppose. I am firmly in the middle age bracket, and was born in the 70's. So, it is all relative, I suppose.
But, the Old Man bit came form a point when I was really having a hard time with a yet diagnosed pain disorder. I was struggling with my mobility, and shuffled around often. As a bit of levity, I started referring to myself as 'Old Man' - I am on proper treatment these days, so my mobility issues are mostly a thing of the past. But the best part about the old man bit, every year it just becomes truer and truer. XD
