IKEA’s also great for cheap sketchbooks. all the notebooks they have there are blank (unlike most stores where the default is lined)

I have so many Ikea products in my home, coffee tables to spice racks to clocks! I LOVE the Alex drawers. I have three of them for my art and crafting supplies. They hold a lot and used to come with wheels. The last one I purchased didn't so I just bought a set. I love how Ikea makes a lot of their furniture fit together.
IKEA is my favourite store! They're always giving off such an inspirational vibe and provide so many storage solutions which really save your space.
You need to do more videos like these! That was so fun to watch! I need to go to IKEA again asap now! haha
I work at an art studio we use the flat drawers and put cut canvases in it. It works REALLY well.
The IKEA you go to seems to have much more creative people who run it. I’ve never been to an IKEA with a craft showroom. Plus, how creative they were with using mats as displays, etc.
I’m not sure why people don’t like your videos. They should put why they don’t like it. You do a great job!
I am an IKEA fan from the past 20 years or so. We have worn out several poing, chairs, I have the raskog, carts and hermies, in my craft spot.. along with mopit cubbies, and loads of magazines holders.. you can't beat their goods.the best is they encourage you to make it your own.
Love ikea. Since moving to Huntsville AL..I find myself wanting to run down to Ikea for meatballs and sitting with my knit group. Miss those wonderful ladies.

1:22 The frame near the beginning could also be substituted for oven racks or dollar store cookie cooling racks.
1:48 The storage stool can be a DIY dollar store wire trash can with a piece of wood cut out or a metal serving tray on top.
I really love ikea! And as a Norwegian It's also very fun to watch people living in English speaking countries prounouce the Swedish and norwegian names😂
@6:45 I have the cranking table. It is really nice and sturdy and you can store the lever underneath so its not in the way if you keep it at a certain height for a while
I really enjoyed this video. I love IKEA and have purchased quite a few items. I have a wall of Alex cabinets and i love them. They are the perfect storage solution for me. I bought 4 of the 6 drawer and stacked them two high. 2of the 9 drawer units. Everything is easily accessible and it was money well spent.
Those Alex drawers are nice. We have them to store my daughter’s clothes.
I recommend KUGGIS 26x35x15cm (10 1/4 x 13 3/4 x6") box for storage of oil or acrylic paint. The lid itself can be used as a pallete.

You can buy iron on wood veneer edging called "Band-it", that's what I used for my computer desk. It's pretty cheap, widely available and it works well, if you don't want to have to replace the whole top yet.

I would Love to see a similar movie from Staples and Michaels. I'm so jealous that we dont have them in Sweden. My sister is going to Florida for the newyears and she promise to shop for me. I got those markers from ikea a couple years ago, and it is really popular in the store. They write really well and I would totally get it again.

I have the cranking desk and I really love it. It really isn't much trouble to move up and down, and well worth the $400 savings compared to the automatic one.

I have one of those Alex dressers that I use for art storage! It's really great, I love it. It's like a baby flat file.
The IKEA Alex drawers are amazing! The drawers are easy to open and close. If you had the space you could put 2 Alex drawers side by side and use the replacement desktop to create a solid surface.

Jennifer, I noticed you pointed out the Alex cart at IKEA. I bought one and I love it for art paper and some art waiting for finishing and other things as well. It rolls easily and, of course, the top of it holds some other supplies too. I recommend it.

Great to see ikea we are in the country 3 hrs away from shops so its great to see
..DIY = I made chip board boxes for drawers and used waxed paper 1/2 gallon milk cartons to slide them into and a 1/2 cork for the handle pulls ..Taped the cartons all together and stuffed them in a wooden cubby..I couldn't find a price match any where. Price wise, except for the glue, this was basically free diy project ...of course i am using a work shelf for the larger cubby .I made nice strong boxes with the book board covers from a set of "old" out dated encyclopedias ..put hinged lids on them using seam binding ..perfect for tape ribbon groupings of things i use together etc .I always wondered what cut book board ...answer = scroll saw cuts whole books in half ..when i can afford it I am going to invest in a scroll saw.thanks for sharing !

The first storage item you show (the metal framed one), I did with my old baby bed springs. I also clip pics on it and it turned out super cute and it's sentimental too.

hello! fellow az friend! Just FYI....I actually got those drawers (alex) a couple years ago and LOVE THEM! I use them mostly for large paper storage of 13x19 size paper and 11x17. The drawers are so smooth and would be great for flat storage of art. I also use the top drawer for just organizing some art supplies.

Those wide Alex cabinets have good drawer slides, and strong cabinetry.
Mine are *full* of paper and I keep heavy things on top.
The only downside is that because of the slides they take longer to put together.

I’m an IKEA addict. Like, seriously very very much. In particular because they offer such a wide variety of items. Thank goodness I pass one every day on my way to work.
Oh. I have a hack: I own the billy bookcase, and had quite a collection of wrapping paper. I attached 2 curtain rods and made a sort of a hammock with fabric. It’s out of sight.

Casket Case that’s good to know! What’s the largest size paper it fits?
Sea Lemon I can't remember off of the top of my head what the biggest size I can put in there, but it does fit my 16"x12" watercolor papers in there with some extra space, so I'm really happy about that. I typically don't use super big paper but it's nice being able to have that many drawers for things to stay flat in.
We have those standup desks in my office and they’re great quality.

I use 2 of those spice racks (the ones you showed with the books) for my jewellery. I have a little tree on top for my earrings and hung one upside down and use those S-hooks to hang my necklaces.

I have a ikea shoe rack thing that broke so I took off the shoe holder things and I am going to be turning it into a cleaning storage unit for my brooms mops and vacuum and maybe a few other things. And I have a thing of fabric to use as a door.
You know the video is going to be good if I'm eating a tub of ice cream while watching it.
As a Swede it was fun to hear you try to pronounce the names :-P but that place is really great for ideas, different stores have different ideas too.

So - I HIGHLY recommend checking out Facebook for Ikea items - especially if you live near Ikea. I bought 3 tables and 2 chairs from someone for about $40 - and they would have cost me...over $100 if I had bought them on my own. I've seen quite a few sets of drawers on there too - and even if they are beat up a bit - it's nothing that some paint and/or creativity can't solve. Of course - be safe when buying from people online. Luckily, with Facebook - it's pretty easy to scope people out (and you can avoid someone that seems 'new' to FB yet is posting a lot of items).

I kind of live in the wilderness ..so mice will occasionally wonder into my house and some times my cats actually bring them into my house and drop them off to play with later .....so open storage is sort of out for me ...so shoe boxes and covered containers = must

Honestly like those MALA felt tip pens for practicing hand lettering than the crayola supertips because they don’t easily deform but I’ve managed to finish them real quick or maybe I just stored them wrongly (vertically). But this was so fun to watch! Unfortunately there’s not as much stationery in ikea where i live and they were all over the place. Such a struggle to get them together. Hahaha
