girls channel I was gonna buy ikea art supplies last year. Glad I held out (I have too much stuff I want to use up first) and now I get to see them from Sealemon first
Too bad we don't have IKEA store in our country 😔 Anyways the Felt Tip Pens are good for calligraphy! I used crayola supertips which has a similar tip like those pens.
Il Al I think so! I Think I remember seeing some, both in store but also in another video! It could be just a regular tape with patterns since I didn't get to take a closer look, but still!
Sprinkle Creativity I looked it up, and on the US IKEA site they have four decorative strip patterns of gray/white and black/white tape of the line Fullfölja, it seems
Ever since watching your first pen haul/collection video, I've been OBSESSED with buying pens. But, I'm not mad about it, they're so colorful and pretty! 😂😂😂😂😂
I have bought the felt tip pens at the end of the video. They work really well in note taking or coloring pages. As for their ability to not dry out until about 3 Days is well over amazing. I had them when I was younger so eventually, I left them out and was able to use them after 6 days without a cap.
Great video! I'm pretty sure that storing your pen horizontally does not prolong its life. However, this is true with makers, felt tip pens, and highlighters. Basically anything that kind of resembles a marker. This is because storing them vertically will cause the ink to fall down to the bottom of the barrel, and the tip will dry out. Yet, the pens will not "dry out" because most of their tips are plastic/ metal. The ink will just run back to the front of the barrel and into the tip. If the ink gets stuck, and does not come out, many people think that it has dried out! However, this is not true. You probably know this, but you just have to get it wet. Try placing the nib in water for a few seconds, or even just tapping it to your tongue. :) This is what I think, so I may be wrong. Hope the helped! :)
I have used the pack of 3 black pens (forgot the name but the $1.99 set) and I never thought they were three different sizes. Where did you find that information?
Christine Gould I have those as well and they definitely don't look like three different sizes. They just all look the same except that the ink doesn't flow as easily on one or two pens.
You can use the felttippens like watercolor. Scribble onto a piece of plastic and lift up the color with a wet brush. The colored pencils are also useable like watercolor pencils. The black pens are not lightfast, they starting to fade quiet fast, and the ink is washable. It's great for childrens if they are coloring stuff, that don't have to be colored ...😉 Our youngest loves the stuff from Ikea very much.
The double tip marker is for calligraphy. When you hold the top at a 45 degree angle, the double line will show on the straight lines and it looks like a single line on the diagonal lines if that makes sense. Try a letter "A" at the angle, that should work.
Hi, pen addict here to. Interesting to see you test these. Would love to see you test their other craft stuff to. I'm especially interested to know your opinion on their paper. Love your videos! Thank you for sharing!
Oh I needed this video 😆! I have the first black set and I like the fine tip one,,, the other sizes and the felt colorful ones I felt it was too wet for me, but I'm probably using the wrong type of paper.... And I tried them on Letraset Bleedproof Marker Pad and I almost made a hole in the paper because of too much liquid... I'm not that expert in drawing supplies 😂💔! I would like a review for the watercolor set, I always wanted to buy everything of ikea's art supplies, but I stop myself every now and then 😂
I have the colored felt tip and gel pens. They are pretty good I think. The felt tips do bleed on the other side - it depends on paper quality. Most of the colored gel pens are unsuitable for writing (the color is far too light on white paper), so I'm mainly just using the lilac one + gold and silver for cardmaking. However all the gel pens have worked pretty well for coloring, if you're ok with the neon colors. Thank you for this review! I have been thinking of buying the other types of pens due to price.:) And yes, I would be interested also in the other Ikea art supplies.
YES! FINALLY! Now I can finally know what those supplies look like and how they work! I've been seeing them all over the store but I had no clue if they were good or not. Turns out, I really enjoy how the first pen looks like and how the last markers look like. Thanks, Sea Lemon! EDIT: EIKKKKK!!!! THANJS SEA LEMON SOOO OOOOOOOO MUCH FOR THE COMMENT LOVE YURE VIDSSS!!!!!!! IM SO HAPPPYYYYY 😃😃😃😀😀😁😁😁😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
The pen with the double tip is also good for calligraphy. Search 'double nib calligraphy pen' for videos that show how they are used. You can make a beautiful font that creates an outline of the letter drawn, if you get my meaning. With practice it can be really fun.
The felt tip pens are actually really nice for it's price! The watercolor set and brushes are sooo good! Especially the brushes, I dont use anything else! :)
Between this video, and the two that Jennifer Charlee art did on her channel, I really want to try out the random art finds at IKEA! It seems like the quality is variable of their stuff, but the prices are practically unbeatable!
I have bought the gel pens and find that I really only use the gold and silver (on crafts). I don't yet know what to use the thick, chisel tip black pens for, especially if the ink is going to fade. Did you buy the bottled paints? I would love to see your opinion of those as I have not tried them. I would be interested to see how they compare to Crayola and/or equivalent brands. I find the paint brush set perfect for my young daughter as they are soft, have shorter handles and come in a good variety of sizes. My only issue is the wood on the handles is too porous so they end up splitting after being used and washed time after time. I may try coating them in Mod Podge.
the white pen in the beginning of the video works awesome for me i recommend it and all the products she described as dry worked really inky and smooth for me so it might just have been the weather where she lived or something.
I like using the graphik line makers, especially for technical drawings. Do you have any suggestions for other pens/fine liners that I might like since I empty these pens pretty fast?
AZZ LAN you could just use some cheap fine liners like the hobby craft ones if in England but in America try hobby lobby !! I find cheaper pens ( in my experience) hold more ink. To be honest it's just a lot easier (I find anyway) to just play about with different brands. And if you don't like them sell them for what you bought them for so you don't waste your money !!💰💲
One of these days, I'll make it to Ikea again. The double line one, I remember having markers like that when I was younger!!! Ah, the color pencils. I look forward to seeing what you use them for, and how you use the water-soluble aspect of them. And I remember you mention that you like to use thicker paper in your disk bound paper, and I wondering what the weight of the paper is.
Wow, you weren't kidding when you said you like to use thick paper! I just started to use 32 lb paper, and love how smooth it is. I'll have to give cardstock a try. I think I have index and cover cardstock somewhere around here...
The gel pens are pretty and I also like the double tip marker, very unusual. Thanks for this video, Jennifer and I'd love to know your opinion on the other art supplies from IKEA 😊
I bought the colored gel pens thinking I would use one color per month on my calendar with a few repeats. They didn't hold up for the year and I had to give up on that idea. The yellow never really showed up on the paper I used or I wasn't able to read my writing when I used it; and, the metalics kinda dried out before I found a project for them. Please demo their other products. TIA!
I also love pens so I do appreciate this video. I hate pens that skip or start out dark then continually go lighter. Grr. I would like to see a pencil video as well.
I like some of Ikea pens - have used that pack of 3 black but wasn't aware they were each a different size !! (Must look out for the banded set with white, haven't seen it my local Ikea - UK)
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I wasn't sure if I may indulge myself and buy IKEA gel pens but they seem very promising. And those colours! Also, I believe "Å" is pronounced as "O" - I've seen some IKEA video where they pronounced "BESTÅ" as "BESTO" :)
A tip for pronouncing Swedish, Å is pretty much the same is O, so måla = mola. Will you be doing more bullet journal videos in the future? I love them so much and could use some tips.
1:39 i agree i have a paper with the marker on it with a quote on it. i hung it on a wall by a window and over about a year it has faded to a brown like in the display at the store.
all the pens and also the colour pencils are water soileble. so you can use them more or less for watercolour painting.....and after two years the colours doesnt fade so much
Did you try the free pencil too
Would like to see you try out the other art supplies from Ikea too
:o
Lexie Armitage lol I use the lill free ones for drawing on the go!! (so it fits in my pencil case)
Shadow lady 1231 That's not very nice of you
Shadow lady 1231 it's ok no worries
Shadow lady 1231 lmaoooo it isn’t smart to call someone an idiot and then ask for subs

Yes, would love to see you test the other materials. And maybe their washi?
Sprinkle Creativity Ikea has washi?!?
Il Al I think so! I Think I remember seeing some, both in store but also in another video! It could be just a regular tape with patterns since I didn't get to take a closer look, but still!
Sprinkle Creativity I looked it up, and on the US IKEA site they have four decorative strip patterns of gray/white and black/white tape of the line Fullfölja, it seems
i have a pack of their washi tapes, they're really good actually!!
Hey! I’m swedish and these are the translations of the names. Måla = paint/draw. Fullfölja = complete
Ever since watching your first pen haul/collection video, I've been OBSESSED with buying pens. But, I'm not mad about it, they're so colorful and pretty! 😂😂😂😂😂
ARMY!!
army too ♥
I love the packaging of the pens, so minimalistic yet cute!
Those FULLFOLJA pens are life. I love them and their simplistic style is amazing-plus they are very affordable.
The FULLFOLJA pens are one of my favorites. As a student I use them to take notes everyday and they're my go to black pens.
1:49 It’s not bleeding it’s called ghosting
Creatonsforyou It’s called both people can say whatever they want
isa.mossy Then call it whatever they want so STOP

Yes please! I would like to see you try out the watercolors, brushes, and color pencils! 💖👍🙌😁😁😁😁😁
I like the neon color gel pen the most! Especially the purple and the pink ones! Love your channel!

You should do an ikea stationary haul around back to school time
Pleeeease do a video with the watercolor art supplies 😍😍👍
The jelly pens fade darker over time
Yeeess please!! make one more with the watercolor and brushes!! :) thank you for your review!!!
I have used the pack of 3 black pens (forgot the name but the $1.99 set) and I never thought they were three different sizes. Where did you find that information?
Christine Gould just by testing them out they looked different sizes
Christine Gould I have those as well and they definitely don't look like three different sizes. They just all look the same except that the ink doesn't flow as easily on one or two pens.
Love this video on testing IKEA Art products. Yes, please do the testing on the watercolour paints and the coloured pencils.
Yeah! Please! More videos trying Ikea supplies 😍
Thanks for your video. Yes, I would enjoy your review of the other IKEA art supplies or any other art supplies also. 😀
I would love to see more videos where u try other craft supplies from Ikea!!!!😁😁😁

I don't mean to be rude, but your Swedish sounds so funny in my 100% Swedish ears lol
I would love a video testing out the other ikea supplies! 💚💚💚
Hi, pen addict here to. Interesting to see you test these. Would love to see you test their other craft stuff to. I'm especially interested to know your opinion on their paper. Love your videos! Thank you for sharing!
Hi person scrolling down the comments 😜😜
Hi
Hello
Oh I needed this video 😆!
I have the first black set and I like the fine tip one,,, the other sizes and the felt colorful ones I felt it was too wet for me, but I'm probably using the wrong type of paper....
And I tried them on Letraset Bleedproof Marker Pad and I almost made a hole in the paper because of too much liquid...
I'm not that expert in drawing supplies 😂💔!
I would like a review for the watercolor set, I always wanted to buy everything of ikea's art supplies, but I stop myself every now and then 😂

This is absolutely gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing!!! 🍋
Can you please try the perler beads from Ikea? I believe they are called “Pyssla” and I love perler beads and your IKEA series! 😁
Margaux Sharpe me too
YES! FINALLY! Now I can finally know what those supplies look like and how they work! I've been seeing them all over the store but I had no clue if they were good or not. Turns out, I really enjoy how the first pen looks like and how the last markers look like. Thanks, Sea Lemon!

Show us all the Ikea goodies! 🤗
The set of brushes are great

Great video. Would like to see a review of watercolors.
Thanks for all your hard work to keep us informed.
I'd love to see a video testing out the art supplies!
Please make a vid for the other supplies you got from IKEA
I'm a really big fan of the paintbrushs there.
Between this video, and the two that Jennifer Charlee art did on her channel, I really want to try out the random art finds at IKEA! It seems like the quality is variable of their stuff, but the prices are practically unbeatable!
Thanks so much. I am always hesitant unless I get to see them used. Love your channel.
I have bought the gel pens and find that I really only use the gold and silver (on crafts). I don't yet know what to use the thick, chisel tip black pens for, especially if the ink is going to fade.

I always enjoy your videos. Thanks. I would like a video testing Ikea's watercolors and pencils. I'm curious about their quality. Bye.
I have the black gel pens, and I didn't even know the were different sizes 😂
Definitely not super archival when exposed to sun, but for cheap supplies, it's fun to play with ikea supplies!
Great video! Test out the other ones!!
I absolutely love the 2$ felt tip pen pack, if they'd release a pack of only the gray pen, I'd buy a whole case. :D
I’d love to see the rest of the supplies! Great vid!
I'd love to see how the other supplies work!~
For some reason, this was very satisfying XD
I have a set of the paint brushes. I love them. I’ve had them well over a year now. So far, I’ve only used them with watercolours.
the white pen in the beginning of the video works awesome for me i recommend it and all the products she described as dry worked really inky and smooth for me so it might just have been the weather where she lived or something.
i never knew ikea had art supplies.i am so gonna buy all of them right now cuz i am also a pen addict
I love the gel pens and i've had them for some months and I had no idea that they were different sized haha
I’m from sweden!! 😃 and ”måla” is the Word ”Draw” ❤️❤️❤️ and all the pens you shop, i didn’t find i swdedish IKEA🤨
I'm sure i don't have to comment it anymore, everyone would love to see more! Maybe one day you can even do a DIY pencil!
I like using the graphik line makers, especially for technical drawings. Do you have any suggestions for other pens/fine liners that I might like since I empty these pens pretty fast?
AZZ LAN I'm currently trying the Tombow monodraw pens and really like them so far!
I own those mäla pens. They actually color well and I really love it!
Yes, Jennifer... test all the things!
I love pens too but pens are so expensive. I find all good pens are super expensive so if these are really good. I might buy them.
yes test them !!
I have these black pens and never noticed that they came in different sizes oops
I also use the brushed from Ikea for watercolor and they are amazing!
🌟 the felt tips are nice (the rainbow ones)
I have the colourful felt tip pens !! I really want the paintbrushes, you should try those! ❤️
Second pen set (with 3) are actually really good with alcohol markers!!!!
MeWho I usually use cardstock weight paper for my disc notebook. Or 65lb - 100lb text 😊
Wow, you weren't kidding when you said you like to use thick paper! I just started to use 32 lb paper, and love how smooth it is. I'll have to give cardstock a try. I think I have index and cover cardstock somewhere around here...
I have the mala colour pens and I love their colours. They probably would wash out but it's good for doodles.
Their brushes are very good!!!
The gel pens are pretty and I also like the double tip marker, very unusual. Thanks for this video, Jennifer and I'd love to know your opinion on the other art supplies from IKEA 😊
Nice video. I’ve always been curious about the IKEA pens. I would love to see you test the other art supplies from Ikea.

Loved the video....but I'm Swedish so the pronunciation made me cringe a little lmao
SwedishNerd specielt när personer som pratar engelska säger IKEA
I do not recommend the mala pens because even tho they are amazing for a few weeks they quickly ran out of ink. And I wasn’t using them too much
this is such a unique but still such a great idea!
Yes please test the other art supplies
Yes I'd like to see testing of pencils. 💛💜
Great overview! Thank you for sharing. Haven't been to an IKEA in forever but this made me very curious about their art supplies! xxAmy
I thought Ikea was only furniture but now I know
I want to see the colored pencil and other stationary you bought video
I like some of Ikea pens - have used that pack of 3 black but wasn't aware they were each a different size !! (Must look out for the banded set with white, haven't seen it my local Ikea - UK)
IKEA! What a wonderful place. Btw some of those black pens are *thicc.*
I never tried Ikea pens before, but I do like the markers. I may want to try those.
Katri Salomäenpää thank you for that tip! There will be a bullet journal video coming this month!
1:39 i agree i have a paper with the marker on it with a quote on it. i hung it on a wall by a window and over about a year it has faded to a brown like in the display at the store.
all the pens and also the colour pencils are water soileble. so you can use them more or less for watercolour painting.....and after two years the colours doesnt fade so much
I would love more of such videos!
