For a couple riding for fun very occasionally a "pair of" 125s with L plates makes more sense.
Oh sure if that is what you are after, But there is a lot of fun in going on the same bike. Less stress with traffic ect
@@spicy110 used to do that outside the UK on a two stroke 125cc in the 90s. Since L plate limits pillions, two-up 125cc here is a novelty.

A part is available from the chinese motorcycle website of a backrest to replace the bar at the back for a passenger. Although I think if you were able to take a passenger this wouldn't be the bike I'd have lol..

Have you ever considered doing a test of any MASH bikes? They do a lovely looking range of 125's but seems very limited reviews etc from UK.
I have done a mash 400. Not had the option of a mash 125cc yet

Sorry to say I use a sena 30k tried the cheap ones and they were ok but not very loud

He’s 6’4 and 15 stone, I’ve ridden with bike before but only briefly and I can say that it felt relatively nice and comfortable. Hope that helpful👍🏼
Are DOT approved helmets legal in UK? I wanted to buy one from USA but i am not sure if this is a good idea.
This have been asked a few time in the comments, this helmet has a ECE approval too, the number is listed under the DOT part.

Sadly it must have an ECE rating, the ECE testing is tens of thousands of pounds so again no.

why couldn't you tour on a Michigan? I've heard of people globetouring on 50cc scooters...!
When I think of touring I think long distances, you could do that but you will be limited In what speed you can travel and keep the engine happy. Sure a B road tour it would be fine but I don't think that is what most have in mind. I would say the same for most 125cc bike, even tho some do do it, it's a different game.

Not done that test. I would say 50 tops. Also if on cbt you can't take a pillion anyway.
