Three years ago,my Seventeen year old son bought a new Lexmoto,as he wanted a bike that looked like a cruiser. After picking it up he rode off with me behind him.Afew yards down the road he pulled in and said the bike won't turn right,I went on it and sure enough, when you turned to the right it started to pull to the left.We walked the bike back to the dealers and told him.He then went to the backroom and brought out another one ,changed the number plates smiled and said" try that one "and it was fine.Hope they have improved since then, but it was great customer service.
Good th hear you got good customer service, The Lexmoto range are a good starter bike as long as the dealer has done a proper PDI & QC check, some of our customers are still riding theirs 5 - 6 years later.
But a great bike to get yourself on the motorcycling ladder
@@RevBombUK Yes I agree mate.I did actually write this in humour and not as a critic.Stay Safe
@@utt1229 got to remember that they come in a box and have to be assembled, unfortunately there are some lousy garages out there who don't test things properly
So are you saying they changed it for a bike with a registration that didn't match the VIN number?
yeah thats why you dont buy chinese bikes
Cool 👍🙂
Thanks
I imagine you had more traffic behind you when occupying the only available lane on the dual carriageway
When riding a fast road on a small capacity bike at relatively low speed and stating to the left of my lane , i had many occasions that drivers were willing to overtake me whilst staying in the same lane as me , so im sitting middle lane if i ever go big road on small bike.
Very thorough review
Thanks Peter, ride safe
@@RevBombUK My comment aren't criticism just so you know :-)
@@chris53small I enjoy all comments good or bad but thanks for the feedback peter
I read for break in you should also avoid sitting at constant revs for any length of time and that you shouldn't be to gentle on the throttle. Can't remember the reasons for this advice but it made enough sense for me to note.
Yes spot on at high speed they should be varied but for the purpose of test riding we stick to a maximum of 40 - 45mph glad you listened to the advice as a lot of new riders go straight to top speed
@@RevBombUK It is less speed and more revs which is important and sticking to those limits throughout the various gears.
@@RevBombUK like i did after about 15k holding up traffic isnt something i enjoy so i took it to 60-62 ish, though the first oil change was clean and the bike has been sweet as a nut ever since i purchased it in early 2019 im impressed with the reliability of the Engine. the Michigan is such a sweet bike, ive even taken it from Torquay in Devon to Coventry in the west Midlands in one evening though it did take about 7 hours since i can't use the Motorway haha
@@thetechoasis2179 Glad your enjoying the bike they are a sweet ride although im not a cruiser lover. Great bike for anyone that wants to avoid the back ache and wrist ache of a sports bike Be well and ride safe
You mentioned here that Lexmoto only produce one Cruiser style bike, although they are connected
to UM brand.
So what was the Lexmoto Arizona ?
Lexmoto have nothing to do with UM
Um are owned and distributed by Quadzilla
And the only cruiser style available new is the michigan the arizona was discontinued over 6 years ago
@@RevBombUK So what are you saying at 6:36 in this video, maybe I misunderstood what said.
@@Gary-Seven-and-Isis-in-1968 lexmoto discontinued um after video was taken
gid video ive subbed. i am about to finance one of these at the end of the month but its in orange :D . i have a honda pcx just now but passed cbt on a manual and like cruisers cannot get a bike theory test booked due to over booking so getting this to train on and then hopefully do direct access some time in the new year :) .
Enjoy and ride safe buddy
@@RevBombUK cheers pal
How have you been getting on with this bike and the DAS?
You say the bike has a good set of rubber, I've come across nylon tyres on various Chinese bikes (which I'm not a fan of, tyres not bike) but these are "proper" stock tyres then?
Most of the chinese bikes have nylon tyres I never have an issue with the nylon tyres as they were around in the 70s and 80s and all big bikes had them but if in doubt get some good ones
Hi Rev Bomb, can we take seriously the claim of 173mpg please, when the ZSB figure is 118mpg? Many thanks. Also, can you fit a rack?
Fuel consumption I would say is around 120mpg for most 125's and as for racks not at the moment as the rear number plate is mounted there most go for throwover saddlebags
@@RevBombUK Thank you. That's 53 mpg they're plucking out of thin air? The ZSB's 118mpg is a bit low then? Could you say why? ... and might the new shipment (July?) be improved at all perhaps, with the European standard 5? thing being met? More thanks, James.
@@jamessherburn They are all around the 120mpg mark its all dependent on riding style, road conditions, and weather.
warmer weather will always give you a better mpg.
Euro 5 should hopefully improve it a bit but the 120mpg is dam good considering my ZX7R only does 21-25mpg
@@RevBombUK Thanks again. The 173 figure was tempting me away from the ZSB but if they're all about 120mpg, and I agree that that's pretty good, then I can stay with the cheaper bike and get the rack. More thanks. Stay safe.
@@RevBombUK get your carbs cleaned mate , my blackbird gets 35-40mpg and i ride it like i stole it .
Bike looks amazing. Im going to be getting a bike in November and was looking at the Lexmoto ZSB do you have any thoughts on that bike? Subscribed to you aswell!!
Zsb is a great ride and great price too
@@RevBombUK awesome thank you so much i just looked through your channel and saw you did a video on one so im going to watch it now!!
Are these worth the money? I'm doing my CBT soon because COVID has sent my driving test months back everytime I get close to it. How is it for a commuter?
Very good bike so much so one of the big Motovloggers got one for his wife @tinsontour
I have a 2 month old Michigan. Mine was actually sat next to the red bike Faye (Tins) bought in the same showroom when I bought it. You'll find it a very tolerant bike for someone just starting out on two wheels. I don't do a commute, but I have a 45L Oxford tail pack on the pillion and would have absolutely no qualms about using one for that if I needed to. Plenty enough low end torque with it being a long stroke engine, which is good for getting up to speed in traffic.
As a first bike for an older gent what would you suggest, Michigan or ZSB?
Try each one out for size before deciding
Take your direct access and go for something like a honda rebel 500 . Much safer in my oppinion .
Dangerous 40 mph on a dual carriageway...
Not dangerous at all most of milton keynes is dual carriageway and also ridden a lot by bicycles and 50cc riders
It's only dangerous if your inexperienced and not aware of your surroundings.
@@RevBombUK well said
What a stupid place for the number plate position
Thought the same myself but it's a good shin scraper
Oh no not the dual carriageway again
New route Coming Soon
