It is very kind of you to post this series of videos on a Paul Selway design. I have bought a set of plans for his Highlander 23 which can be built using exactly the same stitch and glue construction technique. Your videos have given me the confidence to build my own boat.
An educational masterpiece from a Craftsman whom is helping viewers to see how construction takes place and to instil confidence in them that they too can achieve their dream of building their own boat! The tutorial jumps the language barrier by being a straight forward visual learning device requiring no previous knowledge or experience on the part of the viewer. To have taken the time to construct a boat as a teaching exercise for viewers to gain vital understanding of the techniques used and the confidence that they too could do that, is extremely considerate. We viewers are very fortunate to be able to refer back to a video episode or segments to refresh our understanding and boost our confidence. Thank you for taking the time and effort to make these wonderfully informative, educational resources which are a pleasure to watch. Learning the complexities of wooden boat building has never been so accessible and in such an easy to follow format as these types of video.

I really enjoy your videos and I love the jazz riff. I'm having a problem finding all of your videos in order and I hope some time you have a chance to make individual playlists of your projects. I would also like to see the videos in the real speed. I know that's asking a lot but these are really good and deserve to be appreciated. Thanks again. I think so.. it is laminated with fiberglass on both sides so it should be fine. I will sail her next month, so let's see... i built a canoe from 4mm ply and my initial thought was that it is far to fragile but after 5 years it' still in perfect shape

I work with my hands and understand a little about boat building. But I'm having trouble understanding what you actually get with a digital download boat plan. Would these be simply measurements that you then loft? I'm getting old and technically challenged.
Hi Gregory. The plans i got are A0 PDFs. I print them and start from there. All parts are measurements so they need to be lofted. I can not upload here an example but feel free to reach out to me in private: wulkiesgarage.com/

I hope your build turns out well. Repeatedly hearing what sounds like some guy shouting, after grabbing a hot frying pan handle, does NOT motivate me to watch more of your videos.
@@wulkie that might not be an option. It's been said that people who enjoy jazz have a higher than average IQ so turning down the volume might not be obvious to everyone even those who have the mental capacity enough to make rude comments.

1 minute and 46 seconds ..... what an annoyance. There was nothing to learn. Timelapse ...crappy music track...and NO Explanation of the layout. Change the title and the description.
Hi Aron, the lofting process is not as exciting as the other building steps. You just have to transfer lots of dots from paper to the ply. If interested i can detail the steps you are most interested

You only need plywood frames and curv a single piece hull plywood for the bottom instead cutting the hull plywood in pieces

No, it is 6mm for the hull

Different strokes for different folks. I enjoyed the jazz riff and it wasn't a loop but a complete track with some looping.
I like the video but the obsession with slow motion clips of jigsaws and planing is beyond me.

It's much better to cut plywood with an angle grinder with a disk for metal. Sure it produces a lot of smoke, but also a clean cut
