    Hi Demitri
    Another excellent video. Tank 400 looks good. I’ve worked for Toyota for over 35 years and just bought an H9 last week. I’m impressed with Haval so hopefully a good decision. Enjoy your videos 👍🏻

      Thank you! I wish we still had Haval H9 for sale in Australia as I would totally get one instead of my H6!

    All these new Chinese SUVs show how stale Jeep has become. If they can show reasonable reliability they will end Jeep sales outside of the US. Still waiting for a blinged up V8 Tank 500. That would be genuinely cool.

      If I was a betting man - and I have no insider info, I swear - I'd say Tank 500 will come to our shores before Tank 400 is seriously considered to roll out by GWM.

      Yes I hope another tank - 400 or 500 come to our shores soon, as Tank 300 is certainly a very niche market.

    Tank 400 plug in hybrid is very interesting, because of ev range, power, fuel consumption and price in Australia no established car manufacturer can come close, it will sell like hot cakes

    Screw Tank 300, I want this now. If I had to bet, I'd say they are building this off the Cannon frame.

    We did get 4Runners in Australia a long time ago (maybe late 1980's to early 90's) but I'm not sure if it was the same vehicle as sold in the US.

      No idea what Leopard 5 is, but the more competition on our shores - the better for the Australian consumer (even if most of them are bogans who don't get that the choice is good)

    Toyota Fortuner is basically just the Australian (? other markets) 4Runner Equivalent - ie a Hilux based wagon - 4Runner was last sold in Australia around 1996 - when Prado took that space (though - I think - Prado really cannibalised a bit of the proper LandCruiser market, as it was a cheaper proper offroad alternative, the Fortumer / 4runner ?? - really just offers alternatives to Everest and Pajero Sport ??).

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  Год назад

      Hmm interesting. I heard people compare Kluger to Highlander but not Fortuner to 4Runner. Good points, thanks mate.

    • @stefanmartul204
      @stefanmartul204 Год назад

      Yes, the Kluger is the same as the Highlander model sold in other markets. The early 4Runner was a Hilux derivative, but since about 1990 is based on the Landcruiser Prado platform (chassis, engine & transmission) as was the now discontinued FJ Cruiser. It is still manufactured in Japan as a LHD for the North American market and is currently in it's 5th Generation version.

    I actually want the new haval h5, but sadly it won’t come to Australia as tank 500 is on its way, and gwm doesn’t want those two competing each other

    Its NOT a definite no from an article I read. Tank 300 out sold in August, wrangler, pathfinder and drew level with pajero sport. So when 500 hits the shores and sells well, a thickening up of the GWM offering is not out of question.
    The rough ride in the 400 is probably due to the ladder frame and leaf suspension 🤔

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  Год назад

      I just read the summary of the article, to be honest mate, not every line... Yeah surely they'll look at the 300 (and 500?) sales and then decide... And I frankly can't see how they can fail there, unless they get too close to the established brands on their pricing.

    Do you think we will get a refreshed H6 soon ?

  • @jeremyyang9895
    @jeremyyang9895 Год назад

    500kg payload, 37 kwh battery, 0.98metre depth boot space, 4A transfer case with 3 diff locks, well refined most shortage of tank300. Things not very good: 1. 120 kw electrical power is not big enough for electric only drive. 2. Engine to battery recharge is slow. 3. Roof load limit is still 50kg, same as tank300

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  Год назад

      Everything has a market and the right price. So if Tank 400 came to Australia, my first question would be the price. As at 50k it would be of massive value. At 60k it could MAYBE compete. At 70 it would be dead in the water.

    • @jeremyyang9895
      @jeremyyang9895 Год назад +1

      @@ValueCarsAU I think it’s definitively close to or higher than 70k, first, in China, it’s $15k more expensive than tank300 petrol ultra(51k). Then it’s plug in hybrid, every EV or PHEV is expensive here in AU. For example, BYD Atto3 is $35k in China, here the price is 51k. Foreseeable, the price could be between 70-75k drive away in AU. In China, it’s $5000 more expensive than top spec ranger which has much more features than the widetrak x here at $82k. I don’t think it will be dead at $70k.
