I knew it looked pretty easy on this car. Your video confirms it. Appreciate it. Going to have to do this tomorrow as the alternator just died on our 2012 Camery 4cyl
Forgot to update this comment. Yep work like a champ. The only thing I should note is getting that I'll call it an activation wire clip off the alternator. On the driver's side of that clip is a sort of button that will release it, make sure you are pushing that when you're pulling on it to remove it.
@@Aguilaraxel320 we had a rather loud noise coming from under the hood at first that lasted about a week, for whatever reason couldn't really pinpoint the noise to the alternator itself, then it finally just died got low voltage even got a power steering warning as all of that is electric on this car.
Very good vid . Im about to do my girlfriends car cause her alternator went out on it . They were gonna charge her an arm and a leg just to repair this. This is too ez, Thanks so much for this.
How come replacing alternator took u like 5 hrs Does ur car is v6 engine? If your car is v6 engine i can tell you a secrete u can do it less then 3 hrs. Thank you for watching
What is that grey clipped sensor at the top? I googled knock sensor but it didn't look like that. Just wondering what the plastic piece it clips to that screws into the engine is. The one with the single wire. Thanks!
I assume it’s fixed now, but for others that might read it, testing at both the battery AND at the alternator to see what DC voltage it’s producing will tell you a lot. You’ll want to to be 13.5+ If it’s borderline then take it to a parts store and they can load test it.

Hi, my alternator seems good but my battery drains out. Please what could be the problem.
Might be time for a new battery
@@miguelmarcial9784 Battery was just changed. Can AC drain battery?
@@emekaifemenam7703 not it shouldn’t
The radio was draining my caddie battery. Factory, but after markets do it most often.

You might change the title of the video to include "4 cylinder" because a 6 cylinder camry alternator replacement takes hours not minutes.
Thank you
