    There's curtains you can buy for your windshield so you don't have to use sleep currain.Use that when truck is stopped and sleeper curtain when rolling.It also seems like more space in the truck when you have window curtain up.and sleeper curtain open.

    REALLY GREAT TO SEE YOU GUYS AGAIN, IVE MISSED YOU, I MUST ADMIT IVE NEVER DRIVEN ONE OF THOSE ELECTRONIC TRUCKS, IVE OWNED SEVERAL PETERBILTS AND A W900, AND TO BE HONEST, I LOVED MY PETES. THEY ARE DIFFERENT IN MANY WAYS, BUT THEY ARE A TRUCKERS TRUCK. BUT YOU MUST BUY WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY, BECAUSE YOU LIVE IN THAT TRUCK. PLEASE TAKE CARE, AND MAY ALL YOUR MILES BE SAFE ONES.

    You don't have to stop to wipe yr drivers winds, this is what you do.
    Hit the autodown button then immediately with yr left hand grab the top of the window as it's going down and push or press outwards.
    That makes the window press against the bottom rubber wiper and cleans it.... not perfectly but it's pretty good enough not to keep stopping.
    Now the passenger window is too far I will figure something out and pass it on.

    Yes, the mid curtains are a pain. Try moving seat all the way forward, then roll the curtain until all the way between cabinets. Once all the way rolled and tucked behind seats, push seats all the way back. Works well on passenger side, if you're a bit shorter as the driver and cannot sit all the way back, use a bungee at the bottom and wrap in around a couple of times before connecting hooks.

    We drove a 2019 Cascadia and I absolutely LOVED the curtains because they are so thick, it blocks the sound. I do agree with them being difficult to open and slide behind seats. I got two small bungee cords and would clasp the cord around the curtain and push behind seat, it worked really well. Hope that helps!!!

    Add more outlets to ac under sleeper. Evaporator is under bunk. The duct (hose) is cheap.
    Hours of service were a pain when I was driving. What do you use for hours of service? ELD.
    Trucking is unbelievable difficult being away from family, gone on the road. You guys have each other. How nice that is. Happy for you both!
    The part I miss about trucking is the machine itself. The truck. Gotta love it.

    Any wind wing diverter are for fuel efficiency. However there is a thing I call... window rain gutter deflector. It will not allow any rain or water on yr glass... that's all I know about it other than I had it on a few trucks I drove for a while and I got sooo spoiled by it...
    It black strip sticks out about 1.5 inch.
    Looking at your driver's window from outside it start at top left corner goes down the left side to down left corner a bit horizontal a few inches on bottom and totally across on top.. works perfect zero water on glass

      It's a control module issue I'm a retired truck mechanic and I bought a brand new 2018 new cascadia and it has a simular issue, it does what it wants when it wants. Also I don't have those window deflectors but the window and mirror still get ice and water build up. I put vent shades on and that pretty well stopped the window from drowning. Good luck with the truck and be safe. Also turtle wax ice on your mirror will make you clean the mirror once or twice a week instead of every stop in the winter, just make sure it's extra clean before you put it on the mirror

I drove a 2021 Cascadia when I was with Hirschbach and that exact same forward dome light would come on all on its own from time to time and nothing I did, including flipping the battery disconnect, would turn it off. It would come right back on when I would switch the disconnect back to the on position. I made a cover out of cardboard and duct tape to cover it when it would do it. It would just return to normal function randomly and be good for weeks again. Never did get it figured out.

    Just an FYI, You need to let all wisely engines warm up and cool off. You have to idle the truck 10 minutes or so to warm the oil up before you start driving and idle the engine for 10 minutes before shutting it off. if not your rods and main bearings will be toast before their supposed to and your turbk bearings will sieze prematurely

    • @natashatrucking

      @@natashatrucking Yeah check to be for sure I was a truck mechanic until the early 2000s things may have changed but I always idle them a bit just to make sure. Your oil enters the rods and lubricates you're engine from the top of the engine. So as it sets the oil runs down into your oil pan. When you fired up diesels you used to hear a knocking for the first few seconds that was because the internal parts had no oil. The pump had to pump the oil from the pan to the valve covers.

      @hawkeyetec 2 года назад

      @@natashatrucking unless you're driving in the mountains and decide to stop. That's the only time you would want to idle.

    Electrical problems like that stem off of workmanship issues during the build in the plant by human faults and chaffing of wires where the wire insulation is wore through and shorting out...
    Anything auto made in Mexico has quality workmanship issues... cheap labor.
    Big corporations area the problem

    Hey guys😃 when you said 8.4 MPG is it for each fuel tank, or for all miles on the truck?
    At what speed do you Cruise?
    What is your average gross weight?
    How good is your dog at backing up?
    just joking😄 be safe✌

    • @natashatrucking
      @natashatrucking  3 года назад +2

      Lol our dog is the only one who can back up he was off duty 😂😂😂 8.4 mpg is for the total avg life of our truck so far. We pull light weight for fuel economy & tire life anywhere from 2,000-25,000 mostly. We don’t pull heavy no need

    • @natashatrucking
      @natashatrucking  3 года назад +2

      Also I forget the avg gross we usually have because we pull so light we never scale up but yeh you could easily calculate it by the avg load weights I listed
      We usually cruise at 70 or 65

    Hi guys ! Sounds like you’re AC problem is is the temp sensor in cab , it’s trying to achieve a cold temperature when u don’t want it ! Most sensors have a default temp , when they go bad they may just have a default of let’s say 80 degrees F or maybe 115 f so auto temp is prob trying to get it cooled down ! And yes what’s 2000 miles on new truck ! Did u buy a used truck! No ! I don’t blame u ! Safe travels guys !

    In my case i put fuel and drive it and look cool while doing it, pros: even a butcher can fix it, cons: can't go into tight places due to long frame and hood, but i pull a skateboard so im always out in the open, be safe and good luck with the truck.
