I was 7 when this song first came out & it always reminds me of screaming cicadas, swimming in the creek & the ice cream truck ----FUDGSICLES for a quarter !!!!!
Love this intro. Reminds me of several years of concerts ago and brings the past to the present. Saturday In The Park is beloved by all of us, and is ingeniously mastered by Robert Lamm and the incomparable JP, WP, LL, et al!
5/7/2022 Wow! First time viewing this video...and I have seen many Chicago videos! Where was Lee! Jason with way long hair and a new haircut for Robert!
Who is that playing trumpet? It isn't Lee Loughnane. Notice too that the video often focuses on Walt (sax) and James (trombone), but leaves the trumpet player out of the frame. Who is that? Was Lee ill or something?
Yeah, It's Lee Thornburg. From Mack Jack, Tower, Supertramp... He sings too. Yeah Chicago's now a touring band mostly. They don't record that much anymore since "Pop" Radio's so different than they're willing to write & record... Accordingly, members have things that come up in life & miss gigs on occasion..

Lee Thornburg is a former Tower of Power trumpet player. He is well known amongst other trumpet players around the world.
Hard to believe Bobby is almost 50 here...
I was 12 years old
I want some ice cream
2024 Anyone ?

I love Chicago but an element of Cheese seems to have snuck in here.
is it me or r they dressed like women? great concert btw
all those gay haircuts and earrings back in the early 90s ? those guys were 'out' before it was fashionable.
solo de flauta mal tocado !!!!
One of Chicago's worst periods.
