Great authentic era running stock..I remember the excitement of seeing the first few 23s at Kings Cross..heady days for sure.

I'd date this to 1958-9 as far was the prototypes are concerned. Utterly magnificent - and having the Midland line modelled also was a lovely touch! Thanks for posting.

    Bravo!
Des trains, des voies ferrées, du mouvement.
Et pas trop de décors inutiles.
    C'est parfait!

What awesome footage,,,, how lovely to see such long straight runs, the scenery is brilliant with the embankment taking the line across the lower lying fields,,, wonderful to see the long rakes of freight,, then a proper depiction of a passenger express coming through ,,, I haven't got to grips with the full layout but it looks as if your making a planned effort to hide any server curves,,, im only a novice but im trying to achieve something along the same lines,,,, seeing other layouts I have been worried there would be a serious lack of interest,,, but having seen this gives me a lot of encouragement,,, many many thanks I am very impressed,,,, Alan

Yo, Tom. Haven't spoke to you in AGEEEES since you went AWOL on the forums. Hope your doing ok. How are you?
Also did you get access to Tony Wright's shed or did he move this layout to an exhibition? EDIT: The shed, I recognise bits.
I've always wanted to meet him and this layout is great, thanks for the upload.

Model trains without sound is like chips without salt. Maybe nicer in real life.

Good video. But no Great Western Engines involved. However, there was a nice mix of LNER, BR and 9F engines. Make no mistake. Pity they weren't pristine. That would have put a bigger smile on my face, but I guess pristine like a preserved railway isn't everyone's cup of tea. Each to their own. If we all liked the same thing, life would be boring.
