Bhai mazaa aagayaa. We live in Manhattan, NY and are always trying out Indian recipes. My wife is a seasoned cook but I make only once in a while when I feel like it. Aapke yeh chole banaaye aur biwi aur bachche maan ne ko taiyyaar hee nahin hain that I made these. Just to let you know, I added a little bit of the kalonji seeds which really upped the flavor. You have a really good flair and know how to guide people. Your recipes are too friggin good. Keep it up bro. I took a pic to send you but I dont see an option here to do that. Thank so much

I love your recipes but this turned out to be a disaster. You asked to give half tsp soda and so I did. The Curry tasted so pungent with a pungent smell and all the masala flavour vanished. Guys, please don't add the soda. Except it, everything is fine and good.

U also have to put 2 tsp of tea leaves (chai paati) as it reacts with baking soda and neutralizes its taste.
Baking soda bahut tez hota hai, inhone video me 7 whistle dilwayi hai bhige huye chane me, vaise 7 whistle me to bina sode ke chana pak jayega aur mulayam ho jayega.. i generally use soda if chickpeas are not soaked overnight, sometime on sudden demands of friend , just soak them in boil water for 1/2 hour and while cooking them add pinch of sodabicarb ( NEVER aadha chammach), for up to 4-5 people . 1/2 chammach sode me to 15-20 logo ka khana bana jayega , chay patti aap nahi bhi daloge to tamatar hai na andar pehle se , usme bhi sufficient acid hai , aur sodabicarb salt hai, uska acid base se kya lena dena ( it itself is product of acid and base reaction) , it just produce enough CO2 and changes the boiling point and pressure , volume variable inside the cooker (boyel’s law) which increase the rate of cooking !!!
