Pathtracing + RR makes everything else lok like a joke. Absolute fucking insane tech! Great video man! Shows perfectly what a monster of tech Pathtracing really is. Hope to see more Pathtracing in future gaming titels! Thanks to DLSS and FG already playable at smooth framerates.
he doesnt show you the fences and car headlights that still shimmer if your dlss is set to anything worse than quality, or the night time scenes where it makes less of a difference, or the areas during day that get so dark with npcs hanging around that you ask yourself how can they see anything. and regarding ray reconstruction, he doesnt show you scenes in motion where again, if youre playing at resolutions lower than 4k dlss quality, the ray reconstruction makes the whole game look like a borderlands 3 cel shaded oil painting.
There arent issues in motion.. smooth quick cam pans, no stutters and no ghosting. But these comparisons are more seldom situations. In many areas you cant spot a big difference..
tech is ready for 4k path tracing with even 100 fps thanks to dlss and fg .what are game studios waiting for??i cant go back to crappy ray tracing again after this .its a generational leap .
i remember when ue3 came out i thought the future is here. just some 16 years later we are looking at our monitors and see this. i honestly still cant believe my eyes even though im playing with rt only on relatively weak pc
Damn look so nice. My 3080 only can 70fps on Ultra set + RTOn on 4K. If I go PathTracing it went down to 30-45fps. Happy u got the 4090, that card a beast
I'm surprised that RayReconstruction really let's small surfaces catch light and improves close to object shadows again 3:23 and 7:55. In itself I find that now almost more beneficial than the OD setting (though the scene gets improved with more indirect light sources). Maybe I should really check out the OD resource optimisation mod and if my card could run it with the mod. Wonderful to watch and sooo many shots this time xD
so sad my 3060ti can't run overdrive. i was in the same situation 3 years ago, when I couldn't run ray tracing on my 1060 6gb and was equally as sad. things never change.
I recently got an rx6700 for $230 just to play cyberpunk. I'm going to ignore RT because it massively increases power consumption and heat. With the money I've spent on power bills, I could have purchased a 4090.
Also, Overdrive makes all AMD cards look outdated. So I feel like my purchase was justified and buying a more powerful card, which costs 7 times as much just for ray tracing, is a bad deal.
I hate going into dogtown. Looks like any other fps map in any other fps game. Any other location in Night City manages to looks 2 times better and doesn't run like crap. As soon as I enter Dog Town I feel like I left Cyberpunk and entered call of duty. I am convinced dog town is intended to appeal to the type of people that play games like Call of Duty or Madden, or in other words, peasants.
Even without Raytracing, the default lighting still looks pretty good. OD + RR is simply stunning.

tomorrows graphics today for sure!

yes sir@@eightleafgaming
I believe you can be the connoisseur of ray tracing comparison videos. Such a well made comparison video.

Lets hope Frame Gen hits 30 series soon. Also unplayable on 3080ti
Remember those good old RTX on memes? I think they finally apply with path tracing.

Overdrive makes the biggest difference
this is so wild ngl
I think overdrive mode would require a proper HDR monitor considering how dark it can get
Im on about 600-800 nits none HDR and can see decent in most dark areas.

@@diysai 6700 for $230 is great, so don't worry about it.
You is me
@@diysai What are you talking about ?lol, the rx 6700 power consumption is around 170w almost the same as the rtx 3060 non ti.
Could you make a video with just RT Off vs Pathtracing + RR?
It looks so much different here but while playing I much prefer the smoothness of non RT graphics.
this game simply looks amazing~ with RT or not. RT is there just to satisfy the pickiest of the picky players out there.
6^compute, alll that for a drop of blood.
lolol
is it 4K?
Yes 4k.
This is what I mean when I say overdrive is just unaturaly too dark in some scenes.
RTX makes it looks worse LMFAO
