I was tested for hvs with no symptoms I got a call back saying I was equivocal then I called to check months later on the same test they said I was positive I never even had a cold sore or nothing in my personal area how do I kno if I have it ? Or were they reading my test results right ?

@myrnagaylon20 Sometimes, it is impossible to tell at what moment a person became infected, because some infections may be asymptomatic. Symptoms resembling herpes may not be herpes. The only way to tell is to be tested by culture or PCR during an outbreak. Thank you for watching.
@myrnagaylon20 the problem is that there are many different symptoms that may be related to herpes, and the same symptoms may be re;lated to other illnesses; so just by purely having symptoms without blisters can never be considered a first herpes outbreak under any circumstances. It may be, it may be not.

MOST people who carry HSV show little to no symptoms.
Western blot is the way to find right diagnosis for HSV
