Matt Lang said, during one of the Cinderella's Castle Livestreams, that if they do Nightmare Time 3, they want to do them as produced Shorts like this instead of Live/Semi-Live Zoom-Style Performances. However, he also said that they don't know if they'll do that because the logistics to pull something like this off is astronomical. Each show would take forever to produce and a budget to match. On the flip side, the teases they gave us during that same livestream would tend to indicate that for Nightmare Time 3, they're aiming for longer stories, but less of them to balance out the increase in time and budget per story if they go with fully produced Shorts. It'll be interesting to see what they do. I will say, though, after what they teased us with during that livestream, they can't not do Nightmare Time 3. They've basically signed a blood contract with the Fandom to do Nightmare Time 3 now, lol. We Need Answers, DAMMIT! 😝

I think this is the "default" version of Professor Hidgens when the town isn't overrun by musical zombies. Also remember _every time we see Hatchetfield_ it's pretty much a parallel universe with same characters but a different world-ending terror/LIB
My headcannon is that Blinky causes the chaos in this. Thats what he likes to watch.
Also when the boys show up the lighting is purplish with yellow.
I like to think Tinky and Pokey tag-teamed on this one. Tinky looking at this mess and going "OoOoH, boy, if I try screwing with a musical without Pokey, he's gonna kill me! 🤪"

I feel like Jeff Blim is the ultimate Hidgens. Not too over the top but still believably unhinged enough to lose his mind! I love that this kept me on my toes the whole time, I never knew what was coming next but also the ending felt inevitable 😂 so pleased for you that you’re going to see Cinderella’s Castle live, hope you have the best time!

Ruth Fleming is so fucking stoked for her acting debut! This is the best thing that's ever happened to me, I mean HER. Ruth ran the lights for her schools shitty production of The Barbecue Monologues and was also the Assistant Stage Manager for The Wizard of Oz... it sucked. She got bullied and excluded by the whole cast even though her job was just as important as theirs. More important actually! Being in the cast is way better. You don't have to think of an excuse to barge into the dressing rooms, you can just walk right in!
Everybody takes off their shirts and let's their titties tumble free! It's the most awesome thing ive ever seen... I mean SHE'S ever seen. Anyways, Ruth doesn't wanna thank anybody because nobody did anything for her.

Of course I need to drop some lore! On the Pitstop in Hatchetfield livestream they talked about the original idea for Workin' Boys. Wilbur Cross was going to sacrifice the main actress, Becky Barnes, to perform the Summoning ritual (they lifted the Summoning from WB and put it into NPMD later). Becky's abusive husband Stanley didn't want her playing in the musical... so Wilbur SORT OF killed Stanley. It's so metal. They said in one of the lives that they didn't really know who to cast as Chad. If it had been up to me, I'd have cast Jeff. Hidge would obviously fall in love with someone just as fabulous as himself.
I suggest you listen to "Professor Birthday isn't Famous", a podcast musical. It's short, written for children, and quite a few starkid members voiced the characters. I truly enjoy it and hope you do too!
My head canon is that the Lords in Black had nothing to do with this one, this was just Hidgens being Hidgens.

Hatchetfield stories always have that weird effect, haha. However, if you want to see an early work (pre-AVPM) that has some really good stuff in it, you need to watch Little White Lie. It is broken up into short episodes, that shows Team StarKid had "it" very early. Unfortunately, not all members are there, but I think you would be okay with the cast anyway. Just a thought to go back to their early roots.

My recommendation for this series is that you should listen to the soundtrack of Women On The Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, it's a broadway musical based on a spanish movie and the songs were made by the same guy who made the songs for The Band's Visit.

@@Barbara2.0 It's not as scary as people make it seem, to be honest. I think people are just mostly scared of it because it could happen in real life. It has no connection to the supernatural like other scary things in the series, so it seems worse by comparison. I thought it was funny and I really like Melissa as a character. Mariah does an amazing job playing her. You should definitely watch it. I will warn you if you do want to watch it that there is dehumanization involved and mutilation is described. It's really good though!

I think the reason Jeff's hidgens is so much more restrained is just because the other guy wasnt actually that great of an actor
