    That's cool!
How come some mercury vapor lamps start with a red colors while others don't? Is it a different sort?

@@hansoverbeeke5442 even in reality it's more like a warm white than a classic mercury vapour lamp.

Open the camera > on the bottom bar slide it to the right where it says OTHERS then select the professional video or photo there you can adjust the WB ie kelvin as you like as well as the speed and ISO when it comes to video very close to a lamp especially when it's HPS bulbs or bulbs that have a very warm white light below 2700K where the camera can't see it properly and sees it as a weird warm white because the camera goes crazy and can't see that color properly due to poor quality and stabilization if they are cheap phones for an expensive phone, it definitely looks better and more natural, I have it on WB 3700K, speed 750 and ISO 100 to shoot very close to the lamp, if you want from a distance increase the speed and iso, with professional video you can set the settings you want, WB 3700- 4000K is recommended because it is close to the normal yellow color of HPS bulbs, while if it is 5000K or 6000 it will look very orange with red which is not the correct color of HPS, to the human eye it looks like dark yellow with gold white with very light orange yellow which is correct but the camera sees it as warm white 2700 - 3000K which is not the correct color with professional video it looks correct based on the WB you have set! I hope I helped you 😁

Yes, usually mercury bulbs when new look pure natural cool white, as they get older they start to turn a bit green, probably this MV will be under 4000K because the osram hql mbfu is at 4000K and looks really natural white, and the camera really he sees something like this, whereas if it's HPS there he can't see it properly and sees it as warm white 2700-3000K which actually appears to the eye as golden white with dark yellow-very slightly orange yellow ie mixed orange yellow golden white!lol
