The community security is so strong that in some areas people know themselves in about a mile radius... Kids can go a mile away from home and if you call out their name everyone starts to send the message across.. Like have you seen kweku.. Her mom is calling.. Before you know he has gotten the message.. I love it.. It's awesome.. 😁

Ghana is one family, in my town we have about 4K plus people living there ... trust me you can’t believe this part everyone is my family... from my great grandfathers and grandmothers... my grandma use to tell me about each clan house and why they are my family..... your child is NOT only yours, he or she can be disciplined and highly protected by everyone in the community.... how would you pass by and not greet ? It’s just not possible....

Sweeping in the morning is very big in Jamaica as well. Never in the evening, that's taboo. Even in the country , the first thing after waking is to sweep. My wife and I are seniors living in Canada, and she still practice the habit of sweeping in the mornings.

    • @florencesenya1506

It's a taboo to sweep in the evening in Ghana too. In fact traditionally you should sweep before the sun completely comes out in the morning

We have an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables , live chickens in the market, can’t get any fresher than that. The food is amazing, corn banku and talapia is my favourite.i also enjoy the tomato and egg stew . The people here are stronger than us that live in the west.very hard working people.

Hello Ayo and family, I enjoyed your account of your daily life in Ghana-- made me miss home. I will say though that in terms of buying groceries you can still plan ahead. Growing up my mom, also a teacher by the way, had a menu which dictated what groceries she needed to buy each week. We always knew which food to cook each day. I think it's great experience to go out and buy each day however it becomes tiring over time. Enjoy it now but you can still buy ahead later.

I'm getting confused here, was your father living in Ghana? If yes was he a Ghanaian or what? If he was a Ghanaian then your route to become Ghanaian citizens will be easy. So please start it now because we love your family and the charisma both of you have shown.

You guys are so much fun to watch. I love the way the two of you interact it's very romantic the way you look at each other. I feel like I watching some real friends. I like that you are open to new things and so laidback about things being different in Ghana from the States. I think that biggest hurdle to get over. But some people take life as an adventure that's the only way to be. Keep it up I love all four of you so much!
