Great to see your reaction in honor of Olivia. For people in my age group that were running around in the 1970s and 80s as little kids and teenagers...Olivia was always there. Believe it or not, your reaction here is like a eulogy; SO spot-on and SO appropriate. Thanks so much, Brother, for your ministry. (And make no bones about it, what you’re doing here is a MINISTRY) … As for Olivia, this song and this album made its way into my home, via my older sister, when I was a little boy, and because of it I became a lifelong hopeless romantic … So to you, Olivia, and to all our beloved artists of that era, from the apostles & queens of Motown, to the singer-songwriters like John Denver to Jim Croce to Harry Chapin, THANK YOU FOR ALL THE LOVE & ART & MEANING to this life that you gave. God, through you all, gave color, hope and so much joy to our lives … As for you, dear sweet Olivia, we’ll see you on The Other Side 🌈 You are now & forever free, our songbird Sister.

“Let Me Be There” was the first time I heard Olivia Newton-John singing when I had my car radio on, since that time I have been a fan of her’s. When I saw her on talk shows through the years, she was always bubbly and had such an infectious smile. In 1992 was when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, since that time, it’s been an up and down situations with her fighting cancer. She did not hide this from the public. Olivia took the bull by the horn and started to learn everything about her cancer and was so out there with what she was going through with the public. To me she was a symbol of triumph’s with dealing with her cancer for 30 years. Rest In Peace Olivia.

Thank you for your reaction and showing such respect. I'm a Caribbean man and I've always loved Olivia Newton-John songs. Particularly the ballads and more melanchonic ones which really lend themselves to her sweet angelic voice and unique ability to convey emotion. But even I am surprised to see how genuinely saddened I am her passing. Such a lovely, beautiful, talented person who brought so much positivity and joy to the world. Rest in peace Olivia, you are no longer in pain. Sincere condolensces to your family. Fly high in heaven angel.

Saw her in concert in Reno in 2003. Great show. Smaller venue and she really connected with the audience. Seemed like she was really having fun and it showed.

Got to see her in concert, Nashville Tennessee, when I was around 8 years old. She performed this song along with Please Mr Please, Let Me Be There and more.. I never have liked country music but I could set and watch/listen to Olivia Newton-John. Her voice was mesmerizing. RIP 😢

I have been a fan of her music ever since my childhood years and I was about 8 or 9 years old in 1975 when this song came out. Jamel would also enjoy listening and reacting to her 1974 hit " I Honestly Love You " since it was a #1 hit for several weeks at that time. Olivia had such a beautiful singing voice and also a beautiful smile throughout her entire life even in her recent years performances. Thanks for honoring and remembering her and her beautiful music Jamel.
