49 sq m this is not a small space!! Show us something about 30 sq m!!! For a flat of 49 sq m families in Eastern Europe waited 20 years!!! This a regullar space for a family of 3-4. Western Europe wasn't be fair for the Eastern part. You gave us to Stalin and now, you stupid have no idea in what situation people lived there!!!! 49 sq m is small for you?? You don't know what does it means 'small'!! FY!
The real talent of these featured interior designers is how they look at light and "feel" of these spaces while still being functional. This space feels so calm
I loved the whole apartment tbh. The transformable dining space, the Murphy bed in the living room, the fully functional kitchen, the bathroom, lots of storage in the bedroom. It was amazingly done. The fact that nothing needs to be removed from the shelf while moving the Murphy bed is great too.
This flat is actually much smaller than what it is because so much space is wasted with the pitch roof. But fitting 2 bedrooms in this space is truly amazing.
Honestly, I'd live here in a heartbeat, not only is the interior just beautiful with lots of space and well lit by natural light, the location is simply perfect.
I was waiting for this awkward moment when he would have to place the decorative house and a cookie tin somewhere to pull down the bed lol I'm blown away how satisfying all of this feels, such attention to detail!
I love the clean and soft design. Everything feels cozy, instead of claustrophobic which could happen with a slanted roof like this. The use of light is also very soothing and invites calm and inspiration! I would totally love in a place like this!
@@arvidjohansson3120 My only problem would be the kitchen. I could make a meal for myself no probs but my boyfriend eats A LOT and to feed him I must make a main with a side and salad and I find the kitchen too small for the prep part. It works wonders for a vacation appartment though.
man, the italians really know how to do small spaces well. thoroughly impressed with this space and the one recently featured from milan. honestly, i'm thoroughly impressed with every space this channel showcases.
I usually don’t like murphy beds and when I saw the big sofa in front of it I first thought « oh come on, it must be so annoying to move everything away and there are even objects on the bed that need to be removed... ». but then.... what a result ! That’s impressive
I still think that the murphy bed was a bad idea. A sofa convertible to bed were more useful. That way you ave would have much more storage space in the volume that the murphy bed takes. The rest of the appartment though is brilliant.
I used to live in a tiny, 25sqm apartment and was sometimes trying to imagine how I would renovate it, had I had the opportunity. This folding bed is exactly what I had in mind! It's just amazing
Gosh, all those angles! That must have been difficult to execute for the builder. But what a genius design! Wonderfully serene and functional space. I bet the client is thrilled.
I have watched most of the videos of this channel, but this one has become my favorite. There's just a sense of peace in this aesthetic that makes you feel at ease. That's the kind of place I'd like to live in. Also, the architecht stated something that was just brilliant to me (wich I did not realize before): living in a small space can be choice rather than a compromise, if you make the right design.
This apartment is beautifully designed, so relaxing and cohesive. It feels practical and easy to move around in, with no serious sacrifices and no space wasted. The roof is a challenging element, but it gives the apartment character. This murphy bed is one of the best I've seen. I would probably have omitted it and had a sofa bed instead, in order to have extra storage space, but I have to admit that it looks much easier to use without making the living space look messy the way the sofa bed would. Excellent work, I'd be happy to live there full time, not just for vacations.
Agreed, it's actually something I'd think about for my own planned renovation. If there's any way the Never Too Small folks could share a link to it that'd be brilliant!
Wonderful design. I love how the pitched roofs look like a beautiful feature and not a limitation, thanks to the clever furniture placement and use of mirrors. Often in these small apartments, things like the sofa, for example, are undersized and uncomfortable, but not here. This is a very comfortable, liveable space which does not feel compromised in any way.
I loved that living room! Sometimes I feel like the living spaces in NTS look really uncomfortable but that couch looked so comfy and the bed was genius
Because of illness and disability, I can't look after large spaces, and the architect's words about how with the right design, small spaces don't have to be a compromise - that really meant a lot to me.
One of the best architecture small house i seen in these days that too with two double beds. ..I love those charming colours and bright rooftop windows. ...I love that town too
This was a brilliantly designed space - bright, airy and deceptively spacious. The architect made use of all available areas of the flat to make it look more spacious even with the constraints of the low pitch of the roof. The built-in desk/dining table and the fold-down bed in the living area were well thought out. The fact that he didn't even have to remove the items on the shelf when he was pulling down the fold-down bed just showed how much thought was put into the design. Excellence all around.
This is so impressive! Probably my favourite so far, the architect did a great job of creating a really functional and beautiful space despite all the awkward geometry. Can actually see someone living in this aswell its so homely.
during really hot italian summer you've to be careful not to waist water so, having a sink for upper body and bidet for the rest is something people kept from the past cause it's practical and you can still be clean without using all the water you would use taking a shower every day :)
This space is really lovely. I started watching thinking "I could never live in a place that small!" and by the end I was thinking "I'd love something this well-designed."
Just amazing. He thought of everything. Beautiful, calm, practical, illusion of space. He didn’t see those roof pitches as a negative. Plus that view!!
Just reposting: @NEVER TOO SMALL Could you, please, make an extra episode about small apartments and noise (e. g. how to improve sound absorption, which space-saving measurements help to add some soundproofing)? I also would like to know how people cope with living in crowded locations when there are whole families sharing the same ground-plan size above or beneath and there is no extra space/room to avoid the noise of your neighbors. I see so many quite minimalist examples on here but the echo and sound absorption must be insanely bad in some of them.
Unfortunately, there is no cheap way to soundproof anything to a noticeable measure. Soundproofing, both from outside and inside, is usually done by forcing the sound to be absorbed and diffused in a variety of environments with different acoustic impedance, eg. a layer of concrete, then a layer of air, then a layer of glass wool, then a layer of concrete, then a layer of small rocks, etc. This means that proper soundproofing will a) surely be very expensive, and, more importantly, b) will drastically decrease the already limited space in a tiny home.
the 2 critical points for that is upgrading to airtight openings with double/triple glazing (windows/doors are always the weakest point in the envelope) and absorption inside like pillows and cloth (that will reduce reverberance of your own noise and also the neighbor's/exterior). Then, if possible, double the walls, or put wardrobes against them. Floors and ceilings would also make a difference but it is quite impractical to work on them on a budget.
@@hannahl610 That's a good point. This one also is just a summer house. I would love to see those "real life" examples of people who had to manage their places, including rentals, without a generous budget [to hire an architect] and who in fact spend a lot of time in their NTS spaces.
In my experience it helps that there is rarely central air in these units. Ventilation within walls helps carry sound- honestly I hear my neighbors more in my current apartment (with central air units) than the pre-war building I used to be in. Specifically, I can hear voices and music now when before it would mostly just be occasional thumps and walking (nightclubs outside the window notwithstanding)
Very smart yet simple design, he managed to get 110% out of the apartment. One of the best I've seen on this channel!

Murphy beds usually look ugly (like a huge block or wall) or too visible. This one looks great. Same with the folding table, it's almost invisible when hidden. What a great use of multifunctional furniture and every square meter! 10/10
I love the soft colours of the apartment. It looks like he took the colours from the view out of the balcony window and pulled them into the space. Absolutely beautiful!
So good. With 3 kids as a married couple this is a worry not being able to buy the house we need. These solutions can help us change what we will be able to buy and make it functional for us. So lucky that this is shared to the world! Thanks for this.

Once I have my bachelor’s degree Ima apply to this guy for an internship
